Other price info: This is 1 free guest mooring here maintained by the Deer Isle Yacht Club. Preference goes to guests of members, and it is asked that you only stay on the mooring for 1 day. Not super protected, so you can expect a bit of roll and the mooring field is quite packed.

Reviews for Deer Isle Yacht Club
None too sheltered, but welcoming, 2011-08-26
Captain: , Brooklin, ME (1081)

DIYC does maintain at least one guest mooring for boats of up to 40' in length near Nun 2 at the entrance to Sylvester Cove. DIYC guest moorings give priority to DIYC guests but are offered to transients for 24 hours free of charge. There are also "Island" moorings reserved for short visits to Deer Isle from neighboring islands in Penobscot Bay. The Cove is only somewhat sheltered and tends to catch the swell from the Bay in the usual summer southwesterlies. DIYC has a very well maintained dinghy dock and gravel parking lot, but no other facilities. The latest mooring information, will be on billboards on the pier. Transit can also be arranged to at least Eagle Island via mailboat from this point. Schedule/contact info should be on the billboard at the pier as well.
