Reviews for Davis Harbour Marina at Cotton Bay Club
Davis Harbor...nice port of call (M/V Aurora, Capts. Steve & Di), 2016-08-02
Captain: , Stuart, Fl (268)

We visited in June & spent 3 nights as the AC discount and food allowance at Frigates were incentive enough. We were treated well by all staff including Ishka,Thelma & Dion who were there to assist with docking, questions & arrangements for car and shopping. Lisa & Niko run the restaurant and the food was delicious and reasonable. Complimentary Rum Punch upon arrival was a nice touch. Laundry was clean and inexpensive & worked! Heads/showers also clean. Manager Rob was very friendly and accommodating offering us rides to the beach and a tour of the property & made sure we were taken care of. They've definitely turned the corner since our last visit 6 years ago and we highly recommend you visit them.

Fantastic Stop, 2016-05-26
Captain: , Monterey (10)

Came in for 2 nights because of the 10% discount and ended up staying 5 nights. Enjoyed the food at Frigats Restaurant and had good WiFi. Prices are very reasonable at this marina and it is an easy drive to Rock Sound. Chartered a fishing boat for a half day and caught 9 Mahi and 1 tuna. Best day of fishing ever. Ishka and Thelma at the marina are wonderful and charming. They helped us set up a rental car and treated us like family. Owner Rob was very reasonable and accommodating.

great people in well protected harbor, 2016-04-28
Captain: , Burlington vt (230)

This marina had a very warm and welcoming staff. After hours, Sharon went out of her way to be sure we had all the information needed to arrive the next day. Channel heading in is narrow and you need to read the water as you enter. A couple of mates missing as of this date. The first mark you come to will be a green plastic pylon. After that head for the white sign on shore until you pick up the rest of the channel markers. Once inside the harbor is small but well protected all around. Fuel, good food, new showers...all good. Car rental. Overall a great stop as you head north or south on Eleuthra.

Enjoyable stay, 2016-04-22

We came into the Marina for one night as were traveling from Rock Sound Eleuthera to Cat Island. Dockmaster was great in accommodating our desire for dockage near office that we had seen previous day when we rented car to check out Marina. Water was only $15 flat charge which is super reasonable in Bahamas. Restaurant at Marina had excellent food and drink at reasonable prices. Some plumbing issues in ladies bathrooms which will get sorted out. Very friendly staff.

Sweet little place!, 2016-04-11
Captain: , Dillon (163)

C-Soul here! We made our way here from Staniel Cay. Sweet, quiet, friendly marina. They have fishing and diving tours. Nice captains lounge, wifi that is awesome. Showers and laundry @ $2 wash, $2 dry. This is not a fancy place but very clean and cute! Frigates, the bar and grill that just opened is terrific! We have had their ribs, fish, chicken and sandwiches, with homemade buns! Lisa's sides are very good and she tries to cook from local farmers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND eating there. This place would have 5 stars but for a few things: no direct tv (we were bummed about that), the women's shower was plugged and the bathroom lacked a chair at the vanity and hooks to hang towels and bathroom bags from. There is good water and they have fuel. All in all a great stop!

Terrific location and great scuba services, 2016-03-25
Captain: , Bayfield, WI and the ICW (1259)

This is a perfect location to jump off to or from the Exumas, with excellent protection and good water. Restrooms are all remodeled and so clean and neat it's hard to believe it! Brand new washer and dryer, blazing fast internet. Power, water, dockage reasonable, with Active Captain discount. Ocean Fox is a great scuba center, located right onsite. Darryl Miller will also take you diving to different places. No shopping here, but they include a complimentary trip to Rock Sound. Cheap fuel. Security. What's not to like about this place?

Great stop not fancy, classic out island, 2016-03-02
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (61)

Davis Harbor is a lovely small protected harbor. Rob and his staff are very attentive and helpful. Their wifi is the best I have seen in the Bahamas. They can arrange transportation to Rock Sound. Bathrooms have been redone and the boaters lounge is excellent. They are opening the Frigate, a bar and restaurant on a deck overlooking the harbor. Chef Lisa is super. There is a dive operation on site. I would give 5 stars but for the difficulty getting a sailboat into and out of the fuel pier.

Nice protected marina with Great Staff, 2016-01-27
Captain: , annapolis (453)

The channel is well marked with six fixed daymarks and as of 1/26/16 red and green floating marks were put in place about 200 yds further out. The wifi is excellent. New laundry and men's shower are also very nice. The Captains Lounge is nicely decorated with local artist paintings. The buildings are very colorful and the grounds are well taken care of. There are decorative blue trash bins all around the marina. The fish cleaning stations or obvious frim their bright yellow post. The dive shop is blue and the office yellow. This is a very colorful facility. Best of all is the staff. Rob, Mgr., will arrange for any services you or your boat may require. Thelma, Dockmaster, greets you with a big Bahamian smile while helping you fuel or getting settled in your slip. And Ms Ishka, Office Mgr. will take your money with a smile. Very happy I stopped.

The entrance to the marina is now fully marked, the facilities have been redone and the wifi is excellent. The staff is professional and it is the best sheltered marina in the family islands. Still rustic and Bahamian with reasonable rates.

Very nice stop, 2015-06-11
Captain: , Treasure Island, FL. (60)

This is a great place to lay over, quiet marina with very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Approach is missing some markers but follow your Explorer Charts and you'll be fine. We came in about 30 min. after low tide and never saw less than 4-1/2 ft. under my boat. We stayed 2 nights in this well protected marina.
Not a lot to do here but they do have a dive boat that goes out of here and there is a nice quaint beach to the north that is walkable. They have a nice boaters lounge with Satalite TV and there is plenty of area to walk your dog.

Good staging marina for run south., 2014-12-20
Captain: , Sneads Ferry, NC (351)

None of the buoys shown on our charts were in place, but the GPS was accurate - watch out for the rock/coral near the first charted (but missing) green marker. No, I don't know exactly how shallow it is, and you shouldn't find out, either. Good depth 6+ feet all the way in. Fuel dock is straight ahead, a bit of a trick to turn 90 degrees in little more than the length of the boat, but there's no current and little wind. The ferry for local workers with jobs at Half Moon Bay docks here, so be aware. Showers were nice, but water never got past tepid. We used this as our jump-off point for a 36 hour run to Little Harbor at the S end of Long Island, a day/night/day sail.

The people who run the marina are very nice, good hard-working Bahamians making a go at a remote marina.

Great little harbor, 2014-05-14
Captain: , San Diego (300)

Been here a week now waiting out a storm. Some groceries available in the small town too far to walk about a 10 minute bike ride. Rental cars available for 80.00 a day if you want to check out Rock Sound.
A small private beach close by, decent internet, reasonable rates @ 1.25'
Quiet place with friendly staff.

A great stop, 2014-04-30
Captain: , Weston, VT (550)

Chose Davis Harbor over Cape Eleuthera due to cost. Both are remote. Davis turned out to be a great choice. Was concerned about water depth but had 2.5 feet under 5-9 keel at half tide coming in. Be aware that outer 3 bouys do not exist. They show on Garmin and CMap but are not there. However entrance is pretty straight forward. Patrick "asst dock master" took our lines and introduced us to Davis Harbor. Gave us info folder with helpful stuff. Managed to arrange a car rental and had them drop it off and pick up for one day rental. We came for one day and stayed two and will return when in area.
This marina like Cape Eleuthera is miles from anywhere so don't expect to walk to a grocery. Car required.

don't hesitate to stop, 2013-03-21
Captain: , menominee mi (50)

Their intention is to have a facility that appeals to everyone not just sport fisherman. The new manager is len ray from emerald bay and he will accomplish this. Water is $8 a day and dockage still $1.25 a foot. Flat rate on electric, very cheap but this will change. Well protected, oh and has laundry facilities.

Nice Little Harbor, 2012-03-28
Captain: , Freeport TX (143)

Well Protected, Wooden docks, mostly sport fisherman, a dive operation, free internet, Great rates, We stopped here on a crossing from the Exumas. Stayed three days. Not much in the way of stores or resturants very rural area. Great people very warm and welcoming. Will stop again.

Captain: , STUART FL (171)

Stoped here by accident to get 300 gallons water, on explorer charts say,s $0.45 per gallon to our surprise water is $15.00 a day with dockage. Dockage is very reasonable $1.25 per foot so doing the math we spent the night. This place very clean and the personal go out of there way to make your stay comfortable. The wifi is free and the best we have had, A good place to hole up and relax.

Davis Harbour, 2012-02-25
Captain: , Montreal, PQ (141)

Nice little marina, no one here. Well protected. We were the only sailboat and the only crusiers. Great free internet. Reasonable rates. Got our boat detailed for $25. Laundry is cheap but no one has quarters, bring lots.

Inexpensive, People Really Accomodating, Rest Rooms & Laundry Not Too Clean, 2011-04-24
Captain: , Wilson, NY (432)

I think we may have been the only sailboat this marina has seen in months. Every other boat was a Sport Fisher. There are only a few finger docks (quite a few slips are done with just pilings) but they put us along the dock that's built all the way around the circumference of the basin. We didn't think we could easily get our boat in there, but we had three guys on the dock helping and had no problem. Facilities basic, but good WIFI at the main building. Both electric and water were a flat fee and reasonable. I'd definitely go back. A word of caution, we draw 5' 8" and had no trouble coming in even close to low tide, but one of the guys on a sportfisher said they regularly churn up mud in the basin and only draw 3'. We went out at close to high tide, so no trouble again.
