Reviews for Darthaven Marina
Darthaven Marina Good, 2014-10-16
Captain: , Douglas (20)

Easy to find and the visitor berths are the first ones after the ferry, to starboard. Alongside. Showers are a tad primitive and mine did not work (Mira showers - terrible) so I tried another shower cubicle and it was nice and hot. I could not get hot water for shaving, but the view alone from the marina makes it unbeatable. For dinner, try OopsyDebsy's over the railway bridge. Small cafe restaurant and my dinner was excellent. Imaginitive, beautifully prepared and imaginitive menu.

Personal Welcome, Lovely Marina, 2013-03-27
Captain: , Conwy, N. Wales (13850)

This is a very pleasant, privately owned marina. We were welcomed personally by the owner John after a quick hop across from the Dartmouth side where we stayed the night before. Take care with the line of trot moorings outside the entrance, with connecting lines, which would be difficult to spot at night. The marina facilities are excellent, as is the chandlery on site. Unfortunately we stayed on a Sunday in March, so although we found the pub warm and welcoming there was no food in town so we ate from the stores on board. There is however a regular ferry across the river if we had wanted to go back to Dartmouth. The general River Dart area is a beautiful spot, with the town of Dartmouth and the village of Kingswear on the opposite banks of the river. Totally protected from all weather, and easy to enter this is a must-see port on the south coast and the Darthaven Marina is thoroughly recommended for the stay.

The best in the Dart, 2012-08-29
Captain: , Torquay UK (126)

Although this Marina is on the 'wrong' side of the river, it's worth staying in it. The Marina is still privately owned and the owners and their staff have personal service in mind. Great facilities, and just five minutes from open water.

We love staying here, 2012-08-05
Captain: , Brighton, England (341)

This marina is a great stop over. Have a great shower, a lovely cooked breakfast at the local bistro or in the pub (which also has free wifi). The ferry across the the main town is very cheap and runs regularly. After a nice rest you can go further upriver and anchor near Ditisham or if your draft allows go right up to Totnes. A really great stop going east or west along teh South Coast.

Pleasant marina with all the usual amenities, 2010-10-03
Captain: , Gosport (294)

This is a pleasant marina that is right alongside the Dart Vally steam railway. In fact you have to cross the track to get to the heads and showers. Most of the attractions of Dartmouth are on the other side of the river which is a ferry ride to reach.
