Reviews for Dart Harbour and Navigation Authority (DHNA)
Brilliant location, 2014-09-17
Captain: , Torquay UK (126)

The Town Quay pontoons are owned by Dart Harbour Authority. The Harbour patrols are always around on Ch11., and will do their best to find you a suitable berth. If you don't want the Town Quay (not cheap), there are a number of options for you. You are offered a magazine, and you can go up to their nice office for further enquiries if you wish.

Dartmouth Town Pontoon, 2013-03-24
Captain: , Conwy, N. Wales (13850)

We visited in early spring, and most of the town pontoon was occupied by liveaboard boats. We moored rafted out three deep and despite paying for harbour dues which include shore power, we were greeted by one of the residents instructing us that we couldn't use the available power socket because it was 'reserved'. Not very welcoming after a tough force 7 sail across Lyme Bay. The pontoon is right in town, on the left hand side as you head up the river, so it's very convenient for shops and restaurants, and we had a great meal in The Cherub Inn, in front of the fire downstairs - excellent real ale, friendly people and fine food. There are no facilities provided by the harbour authority - the nearest showers are in the Dart Yacht Club - which makes the rates overpriced in our opinion.
