Reviews for Lakeside Marina and Resort
Minetonka on the Marion, 2016-06-01
Captain: , Pinnacle, NC, USA (1340)

Well off the beaten path and for a reason -- Lake Marion was backfiled w/o the vegetation being removed. Quite possibly making it a great fishing lake but you've gotta watch where you are going. Tops of trees poke up all over the place.

The SCDNR lists this marina as having a pump out -- but it doesn't. The day boater usage of the lake may not create the demand but that's my reason for giving it 3 stars.

Otherwise we found Jim (a Minnesotan) very hospitable and particularly helpfull on the boat ramp and in accomodating our need to park a tow vehicle the last day we were there.

Garmin's charts are derived from Geodetic Survey Maps and don't include any of the channel markers laid down by the Santee-Cooper Power Co who own the Lake
