Reviews for Cowes Yacht Haven
Fantastic all rounder, 2014-09-17
Captain: , Torquay UK (126)

We spent numerous nights hat Cowes Yacht Haven (CYH) immediately after Cowes week. (East Cowes Marina during). Couple people mentioned the wash of other boats, and yes there is a bit of that. However, here you are in a brilliant full service marina, with great friendly staff. (Tell Ben I said so). Anything with N and/or E in it may give you a bumpy night, but the new breakwater is hoped to resolve all that. Well on in Sept 14. The two basins at CYH are called N and S. South slightly calmer, North has fewer boats. Great deal on winter rates. Showers are new and excellent. Issues with Wi-Fi so unless they've fixed it, bear that in mind. It drove us mad.

Central Location, Good Facilities, 2014-02-19
Captain: , Hayling Island (140)

Cowes Yach Haven is central to all of the main bars and restaurants on Cowes High St. Mooring fee's are reasonable, bearing in mind it is Cowes. Shower Facilities are good, and staff (not that you see them that often) are friendly. Booking (when available) recommended on summer weekends

Close to the action, 2013-10-09
Captain: , San Francisco, CA (171)

The epicenter of English sailing, Cowes has it all. Its proximity to the town, abundance of resources and entertainment are enough to keep any busy body amused for a time. Expensive, indeed. But for those wanting to see what sailing on steriods looks like, here it is. Minus a star for creature comforts, pleasantries and ferry wake.

Cowes, need I say more?, 2013-07-01
Captain: , Liverpool (325)

Friendly marina right in the middle of Cowes, good facilities and being Cowes anything you could possibly need for you or your boat is only a short walk away, best to book in advance at busy times as it could be packed out with racing boats.

Facilites are basic but this is the sailing Mecca, 2013-04-11
Captain: , Southampton , UK (1327)

This marina is on the side of Cowes high street,

The faciliites are ok but get very busy so expect a wait.

However this is the sailing centre of the world, and tight in the middle of everything.

anti climax, 2012-07-03
Captain: , Stellendam, Netherlands (123)

Here you're at the centre of the sailing world, but the facilities are not that luxuous. And every time the ferrie comes by, your boat is going back and forth. Not comfortable at all. Crew is very friendly though.

Gret location for West Cowes, 2010-10-03
Captain: , Gosport (294)

THis marina is close to all the action of West Cowes. Can be a bit bumpy from wash from ferries etc.
