Reviews for Cove Yacht Basin
Small and Limited but well done, 2015-02-17
Captain: , Wickford, RI (550)

Small marina with a tight fairway for vessels over about 35'; and no showers. But the docks are new, the food at the restaurant is good, and most everything you need is within two blocks - French, Mexican, Italian restaurants, coin laundry, Publix, beach. It's right on the ICW and it's fun watching the mega yachts time the bridge openings on the half-hour. Woud rate it higher if there were showers.

New Concrete Docks w/fuel but that's it!, 2014-04-22

We stayed here to meet the mobile "Bicycle Doctor" to replace a wheel on one of our folding bikes--did a grat job replacing the wheel at 6 PM.

The marina (Two Georges at the Cove) is new with concrete docks, electric and water with protection. Wi-Fi available from restaurant and rest rooms in restaurnat when it is open.

Marina is very tight (43' trawler); we had to back 300+ ft down a fairway lined with wood pilings whith bow pulpits on the other side to our dock space as turning room was very tight. Concrete wall, pilings and docks. 3-4 charter boats were docked here and a couple boats left at 6AM and 7AM respectively with accompaning chatter. Water and electric is good as is the Wi-Fi from the restaurant but there are NO other aminities. No security but bright lights around the docks/parking lot so pull your crutains.

Some locals said the Cove restaurant was good, others liked the French restarant. There are 6-7 restaurants (French, Asain buffet, burgers, etc.) and Publex within 1-3 blocks. Also 2 bike shops nearby. If you are looking for a $1-10,000 bike, they can fix you up.

The $3/ft dock rate, tight quarters, and lack of amenities caused serious downgrade. Note that if you dock at the restaurant to eat, there is a per/head fee charged! Not a cruisers stop but it has some good attributes.

5 Star fuel stop!, 2010-10-25
Captain: , Delray Beach, FL (327)

Superb dockmaster got us docked, fueled (30gals diesel) and underway in 7 minutes to make the bridge opening late in the day! Restaurant and bar are also good (...different trip), but loud and busy on the weekends.

Weekend /Fri night hot spot- rafted into ICW. Need to plan where you will go for the night- nothing close, North or South.
