Expansion (Slips Available), 2015-08-20
Captain: , Winthrop (10)

Quicker access to Boston Harbor than the Boston areas marinas, minutes outside of Boston by car. New Slips planned for Spring 2016. Presales are currently underway more information can be found at http://www.cpyc.org/page/marinaexpansion or by emailing at marina@cpyc.org.

UPDATE - A couple of weeks after writing this review I received a very polite and apologetic message from the Yacht Club. I have increased my rating as a consequence and look forward to giving the club a second opportunity next season.

Original Review
Participated in a race organized by the yacht club. With registration requested a mooring. After a well organized race we arrived at the yacht club. We were unable to get help. Several phone calls to CPYC to find the launch VHF channel. Nobody knew what it was. We managed to get a launches help -by waving our arms. He had no knoweldge we were coming and gave us a mooring that he thought would be available. Subsequently we were told that VHF 78 was to be used. After an hour of calling, with no response, we left the mooring. We have emailed to provide constructive criticism (also we had paid for post race dinner but of course couldnt get to shore) and have had no response.

Very friendly to the tired sailor, 2011-06-13
Captain: , St Louis (270)

I stayed with my 7' draft sailboat during May of 2011 and was treated like royality. We were given a key to use at the gate and the bathrooms and were able to enjoy dinner in the club house. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

The club is easy to get to as long as you respect the channel and it's best to call in advance to make sure that they have room for you.

I didn't find the planes from nearby Logan Airport bothersome. Our dock had water and electric, included in your fee.

Nearby we found a place to do our laundry, have breakfast, buy boating products, buy food, and a CVS.

CPYC update, 2009-10-15
Captain: , CPYC Winthrop MA (30)

Since Geoff's visit the two bathrooms on the dock have been rebuilt and are now available even when the clubhouse is locked.
It is a short walk down Bartlett Rd to Pleasant St where you can catch a bus to the Orient Heights (MTA Blueline) stop.
There are now a few restaurants within walking distance for breakfast, lunch, or dinner., and the club's Pilot house serves a variety of food for lunch or dinner.

Great price, but noisy, 2008-10-01
Captain: , Newport, RI (10275)

There is very limited dockage at the Cottage Park Yacht Club, but it's an incredible $25! It's a great place if you're an aviation buff as it's right under the flight path for Logan. Hopefully you go to bed late and rise early. I've been told that there's a T stop nearby, so you can get into Boston fairly easily. The gates are supposed to be locked and we weren't provided any way to unlock them, but we always found a way to get in. Bathrooms are in club house which was also locked.
