Reviews for Conch House Marina Resort
First Visit, 2017-05-22
Captain: , Bristol, RI (350)

This was our first visit to this marina and we will return. It is a hidden gem on the opposite side of the Bridge of Lions. We love St. Augustine but being here enabled us to enjoy both sides of the bridge. The office and dock staff were helpful. Fuel was available at our slip which was truly appreciated. We asked for an easy out slip since we would be leaving early in the morning. The delightful woman in the office honored our request. The restaurant on sight was delicious. In spite of the damage they received during Hurricane Mathew, they are in full working mode. We were very happy here.

Nice restaurant. Nice staff. Not a good Sunday stop., 2017-04-18
Captain: , Clearwater (104)

This is a nice marina but on Sunday night there is a huge Reggae Party at the bar/restaurant right at the marina which lasts until 7 p.m. Lots of drunk people. However, they do have good security and lots of police present. Marina staff is very helpful and friendly. The only negative is the bathrooms. They need to be cleaned up after the party. When cleaned up, I am sure they are nice. When I went in about 8:00 p.m. there were towels, beer bottles and water/soap all over.

Open for business!, 2016-10-28
Captain: , St. Augustine (42)

We have some damage from the storm but repairs have been made and the fuel dock is open as well as power and water to several piers. Give us a call and stop in!

Hurricane Matthew damage, 2016-10-19
Captain: , Marion Ma (641)

"Marina Open to BOAT OWNERS ONLY to assess damages" --- Marina experienced significant damage to both docks and boats. Parts of the marina are destroyed and others not usable. Restoration status unknown at this time.

Great place, 2016-03-27
Captain: , Bar Harbor (90)

A wonderful place to enjoy your self. The on site restaurant is a nice place for dinner.

Nice atmosphere, 2016-02-18
Captain: , Mayport Florida (452)

Stayed 2 nights over President's Day. Conch House Lounge and restaurant offer great food and atmosphere. Facilities including head, showers and laundry well kept. Fuel/pump out dock very accessable for larger vessels with plenty of room/depth. Despite lacking a courtesy car, the walk to downtown St Augustine was shorter than expected.

FUN, FUN, FUN!, 2015-07-21
Captain: , Carolina Beach, NC (185)

Conch House is a great place to enjoy a cold one and often listen to live music. They are known for their Reggae Sundays when the party can ocasionally get out of hand.

If traveling by water (is there any other way) anchoring is pleantiful or pick up a mooring and dingy over.

Nice first stop on trip north, 2015-05-24
Captain: , New York (262)

Nice clean marina, helpful staff and competive fuel and dock prices.
Good resturant as well

Great Place,, 2015-04-24
Captain: , New Bern, NC (486)

We stay here twice a year for a month at a time. Staff is great, docks are floating docks with good electric, water and cable. No bridges to worry about for those that are mast challenged. The approach into Salt Run is heavly marked with bouys to guide you into the marina. The current is not as wicked as some of the other marinas in the area.
Conch House Restturant on the premise has great food and great enterainment espcially during the weekends.
Not to far from downtown and easy bike ride over or can walk.
Bathrooms were recently updated.

Update 2015; Great place to stay for the 4th of July., 2015-03-23
Captain: , Jacksonville Florida (417)

Stayed in a slip this time. Drew was top notch helping us land. Resturant on site wouldn't deliver to the boat, but offered carry out, the shrimp scallop alfredo was awesome. Good place to party, can get crowded with live bands and reggie Sundays, not overly secure, but okay. Watch your course going in, and mind the currents and once a year boaters when coming and going.
We side-tied and had a great time. There wasn't much current so I wasn't freaked out about fenders being in the right place. It was a little bit more to stay there, but we got to use the pool along with the other amenities, and being able to stagger from the boat to dinner and back without having to leave the marina was awesome. There are parties there at the marina during the summer too.

Nice Resort Atmosphere, 2014-10-12
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

Easy in and out, lowest water seen on approach was 12 feet at high tide. Nice docks, electric good, restaurant and bar is Caribbean like.
$2.25 per foot, $14.00 per 50 amp plug plus tax.

Great place!, 2014-09-23
Captain: , Jupiter, Fl (31)

incredibly helpful dock attendants. location close to inlet is nice for overnight stops during offshore deliveries. A real "complete" and full service marina. Never left the property and accomplished all needed tasks.

Great View and good music, 2014-06-29

Everytime i visit my dad we go here. Love the view of the boats and atmosphere

Nice Resort , 2014-04-26
Captain: , Savannah, GA (160)

Larry & Mimi Amerson, s/v Sweet Amelia Enjoyed 3 nights here and worth the price, but away from the touristy parts of St. Augustine. Good restaurant, lounge right on the dock, Reggae Sunday parties, nice restrooms and laundry close to boats, really good staff. Easy in and out for our 41', 5.5' draft. Long walk to take the pup, but really enjoyed the place - cable included.

Very nice floating docks, 2013-10-06
Captain: , Key Largo (5457)

If this marina was better located to town, and supplies, I would give it 6 stars. Dockhands good, docks, new and floating, nice bar on property with good happy hourz. Laundry nice, heads and showers clean.
Dockage pricey
There is no shopping or supplies walkable, and no courtesy car.

Great location with easy access to the Atlantic, friendly staff and very helpful dock master. Clean Marina
Love it

Really Nice Place, 2013-05-01
Captain: , Miami, FL (94)

First, be careful coming in. Make sure you stay in the channel. If you drift outside of the channel, there is a high probability that you will run aground.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They provided above average assistance at the fuel dock, helping us get tied up at our slip, and getting the "bugs" out of the cable TV hook-up.

Depending on what you plan to do in the area, the location of the marina is either good or bad. The marina's location is great for accessing the alligator farm, the light house, Stewart's food market, O'steens shrimp restaurant, and a few local (and colorful) bars. It is, however, about a .8 mile walk to the Bridge of Lions and the downtown nightlife.

Food and service at the Martina's restaurant is mediocre and on the high-priced side.

The reason for 4 stars as opposed to 5 stars is due to frequent wake issues from local boaters. We were on a T-head facing the channel. The company that rents watercraft either can't or won't control the renters. Many, many of the local boaters completely ignore the no-wake zone. If you don't absolutely have to be on a T-head facing the channel, then don't.

Also, depending on your age, you might find Reggae Sundays either wonderful or a royal pain. Every Sunday afternoon during the season, there is a reggae band playing at mid dock. This brings dozens/hundreds of people (average age of probably 30-ish) to party: drink, dance, drink, etc. The loud, partially drunk crowd on the docks can make walking to the restaurant, street, laundry room, etc., "interesting."

October trip south, 2012-11-17
Captain: , Red Bank , NJ (275)

Very young hip crowd at the bar and restraurant. Runs a little over $2.00 per ft. It is very close to the inlet at St Augustine

Nice place, 2012-11-12
Captain: , Shinnecock Bay, NY (610)

Nice place, resturant on site, more if you want to walk a little. I was able to ride my bike to Winn Dixie on Rt 1. Full everything, showers, laundry, everything you need.

okay spot, 2012-07-25
Captain: , jax, fl (111)

We chose to stay here as we were going to a concert near by and could walk to it from here. the marina was packed so the spot we ended up with was not real pretty. A nice fella helped us tie up and everyone there was very nice. docks were clear, clean and we felt secure. About the other stuff.. skip the resturant, it was bad a few years back and has not changed. there are other places near by. the downtown area is too far for a easy walk. we will stay here again if we attend another concert but if just going to st aug, we would stay downtown.

Food so-so, Docks great, Atmosphere fantastic., 2012-03-16
Captain: , Oviedo (306)

Food a bit pricey for what you get - but go for the tree house tables with fantastic views.
Overall condition of the marina is best we have seen in Florida.

Sorry to Disagree, 2011-04-21
Captain: , Isle of Palms, SC (311)

Marina expensive. Resturant is excreable. Horrible food [$$$] is exceeded in its inferiority only by the level of service. Eat aboard.

Great Marina!, 2011-01-27
Captain: , Palm Coast, FL (385)

All floating dock fairly new. Fuel dock is very easy access and the staff is very attentive and helpful. Current can be fairly strong but dock spacing makes entry and exit very easy.

On site restaurant is excellent.

Great Stop., 2010-10-25
Captain: , Delray Beach, FL (327)

Very nice marina with floating docks and superb staff. Great dock bar happy hour with local yachties. Two sets of showers...use the ones closer to land with a cipher lock....much cleaner!

Not convient to town, 2010-10-15
Captain: , Chesapeake Bay MD (495)

This has the feel of a self-contained resort. Bar, pool, restaurant and hotel. Food was above average and bar was fun BUT cannot walk to town where you have unlimited options for dining and walking around.
Marinia staff was helpful and dolphins were playing/feeding right at the dock.

Weekend Trip south, 2010-02-06
Captain: , Green Cove Springs (123)

Stayed the weekend, very nice, loved the food. becareful pulling in the channel there is not wide and has rocks to one side (north)

GREAT, BUT..., 2009-02-04
