Reviews for Conch Harbor Marina
First class and close to town, 2017-08-12
Captain: , High Springs, FL (848)

We limped in after a trip to the Dry Tortugas that left us with some engine issues. After tying up I realized w ecame to the right place. Wifi was great, the pool was nice (although it was a little crazy for kids) and they offered free bikes to get around town.

All within walking distance of Duval if that is your thing.

Diesel price was cheap too

July 2017 update -
We came back to the Conch Harbor marina this year in July of 2017. Same great staff but had some significant issues this time.

The wave action was horrible. With the cruise ships in, the party boats and parasailing boats are running fast the whole time. There is no concept of slow speed until you almost hit the fuel dock.

Like last year the pool was crazy only this time if was simply raunchy. Planned on 4 days and left after 2 due to the activities.

Captain: , St. Petersburg, FL, USA (590)

We were here 3 days 5/8-5/10/17
Wonderful marina with courtesy bikes to explore Old Town. They are friendly and helpful. The slip was tight for our Grand Banks 49CL but nice once in. We'll be back. Trolley with driver as a guide is a good way to become familiar with Key West

Excellent choice, still like Galleon better, 2017-05-14
Captain: , Ft Myers, Florida (1804)

As with everything in Key West very expensive. We were on floating dock next to fuel dock, only floating dock in marina.
Excellent laundry, pool only open 8-5?

Friendly very helpful staff.
Great location, good fuel dock, still like Galleon floating docks , pool, bar , setting and location better. Prices about the same.

Very Polite and Helpful, 2017-05-11
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (283)

We were in Key West for 3 months and used the fuel dock at Conch Harbor often for dinghy gas, ice and diesel. They were always pleasant, helpful and responsive to our questions. They also helped me when I lost the key to my dinghy lock for which I was extremely grateful. The fuel dock landing is easy even if you have to mill around and wait plus, they sell a lot of fuel so, its fresh.

Great location and very helpful people, 2017-01-08
Captain: , Los Angeles (30)

Loved the location, nice pool and bar area. Super clean laundry. Next time we will request a slip with full length fingers. Best marina in Key West. Very good service.

Great Week, 2016-11-24
Captain: , Boca Raton, FL (1421)

We docked into the slip next to the Fuel Dock because of our 25' beam. The Staff was great and the dock in great shape. location is also great. We were there for Meeting of the Minds and the location was perfect. West Marine was right there at the hotel and the Marine Hardware store just down the street. Realizing that we were at a very busy fuel dock, there were still a couple of things that bothered us. The pumpout hose was spread next to our boat and the crew didn't wash out the hose after each use which is standard operating proceedures at other marinas. The end was by our stern so the smell came right into the back of our boat. The Dock Master when we arrived was nice enough to move the head to the bow area of our boat so we did not get the smell. Regretfully the others did not get the message so i constantly had to move it during the day to get rid of the smell. At night, the lights on the marina side of the fuel dock are bright and are about 6' away from the windows so we had bright lights shining into the boat all night. But overall, I would definitely come back again!!

Great location close to all the stuff in Key west, 2016-07-23
Captain: , Kemah, TX (230)

Nice staff and decent slips. The pool at dantes is a bit much if you're close to it but free laundry and clean restrooms make up for it. Really close to everything you need to get to just by walking and west marine in a block away.

Great staff great marina!, 2016-07-04
Captain: , Cape Coral (60)

We came over here after a bad experience at a neighboring facility. Like night and day! Dock staff very friendly and helpful. Great ammenities Very well kept laundry room restrooms/ bikes good internet. Close to Key west marine hardware or west marine easy walk to grocery/convienence stores. Nice pool area, multiple resturants on site etc etc Great place! Finger piers avaliable so don't have to go stern to.

Good as ever, 2016-06-13
Captain: , Salcombe, UK (170)

Still great place to stay in KW, good facilities and close to Duval and all the fun. First time on their floating dock and I'd highly recommend it. Our neighbor on the dock was a MY up for sale for $27 million. I decided against making an offer!

Docks are old and very narrow finger piers, 2016-05-23
Captain: , Niceville, Fl (195)

Great location. We found the very narrow finger piers to be dangerous. Our boat has mid ship entry so finger peirs are essential.

Another Great Stay at CH, 2016-01-31
Captain: , Aurora, Indiana (100)

We just finished our forth year in a row staying the holiday season at Conch Harbor Marina.

Once again our stay was wonderful. Gina, Jarod, Dillon, Jim, Ron, Jessie, and others made us feel right at home during our visit. We are well seasoned year around liveaboards (35 plus years), and winter cruisers (4 years). We have traveled the east coast from NC to Key West and Bahamas and the west coast of Florida up and through the TennTom to Grand Rivers KY, Conch Harbor in Key West is one of our favorite stops. When checking out this year we made reservations for the next season so obviously we were once again very happy with our stay there.

Great marina and staff, read below for pool details, 2016-01-27
Captain: , Knoxville (123)

This is an outstanding marina with friendly staff and visitors. We cruised down for Lauderdale and would definetly stay again. The only thing I think needs explained is the pool situation. The pool is by the marina but it has a restaurant right there. Once you enter the pool you are no different than any other customer. The pool is more a restaurant than a pool. This is awesome if you want to be in a party environment and pay for all drinks and food,, no boat drinks. We went with a 6 year old over new years and we found the pool to be fun, possibly a little more wild than our child should be around but everyone was respectful around us with language and there was no nudity. We were the closest slip to the pool and noise was NOT an issue. They close the DJ well before anyone would be going to bed. So free bikes, pump out, pool close by. We really could not have been more happy.

Nice Marina, 2015-09-12
Captain: , portland or (131)

Stayed at Conch Harbor for 2 days. Staff are friendly and helpful. Showers are nice and clean. Only downside is you have to trek through the pool area which is a party place in the afternoons. They are very pricey as is all of Key West. There is also a fair amount of movement as there are alot of big boats coming in and out. Short walk to Duval Street and many restaurants. Grocery is a bit farther. There is free laundry which is a definite plus.

Great place but a little pricey, 2015-05-31
Captain: , Apollo Beach, FL (928)

Price does include water, electricity, pump out and free air conditioned laundry. Staff is excellent and fuel prices are good. Pool is a party place with loud music all day but not at night. Great location close to Duvall Street and lots of good restaurants. Good wi-fi signal and fast internet all the way out the docks but not in laundry.

Fuel Stop!, 2015-02-13
Captain: , Dallas, TX (726)

Stayed at A and B but fuel was not working. Fueled up here, excellent service.

Great stop!, 2015-01-02

been lookin for spots to store my boat in keys and this is definatly gonna be a spot , hopefully they will have room for us as i was told that they fill up during the times , winter, when we would want to be in the keys
Staff was friendly and marina is dog friendly ,very important for us

Captain: , ft myers beach (790)

Still the best in KW. Great staff, bath, laundry and pool. Will be back and more. They are talking about expanding docks and adding some floating docks. I think they will do it after the lengthy permit approval system. Stay here and you will enjoy your visit. West Marine, local marine hardware, grocery store, restaraunts and more walking distant. Free bikes for further jaunts.

Conch Harbor Review, 2014-04-27
Captain: , Grand Isle (96)

I agree with my friend Randy Smith that this is an excellent marina, with excellent personnel. We really enjoyed our stay here and yes there were a couple of setback items, but this is Key West and a place to be enjoyed for what it is. I plan to return on my next voyage in this direction.

Location, location, location...., 2014-04-09
Captain: , Yorktown, VA (972)

Minutes to all of Old Town Key West. Great location, friendly folks on staff and on dock. Jimmy, Jarad, and Diane are all helpful and have a lot of local knowledge. It is ridiculously expensive, as is all of Key West Bight. We liked the fact that everything was included in the price, electric, water, pump out at slip, bikes, 3 free washer/dryers, Wi-Fi (allegedly), and pool. It is, however, $66 per foot for the monthly rate. Even though the location is so great, there were a few issues that concerned us. The first is the use of the pool. The beautiful pool is located at Dante%u2019s restaurant, bar which has a DJ during the day and the place it loud and crazy. We didn%u2019t mind that and is stops at 5 pm. No mention in the website that the pool closes down at 5 pm which is very unfortunate. Supposedly, marina guests can use the pool as the marina owns the pool and restaurant. However, we were hassled and removed from our chairs unless we were purchasing drinks. The marina states that lounge chairs can be used but we were made to feel uncomfortable.
For that price, we feel strongly that Wi-Fi should work. They claim to have it but it does not appear to work anywhere on the dock except at the office. Even with a booster, we had no Wi-Fi.
There are some charter boats on the dock that leave the locked gate open for hours at a time. We felt like we were paying for secure dockage but had dock walkers all the time. A coded card system would be much better than the code given as most people in Key West know the code.
The laundry and bathrooms are beautiful, the washers and dryers are great. However, be careful as the charter boat%u2019s crew uses these machines. My white jeans are stained because of some blackish substance and fish scales and one day, we woke with a fish hook in our blanket. So be careful.
Their bikes are very nice and well-maintained. Winn-Dixie and Publix is about 1.5 miles but an easy ride on the bike path. The bikes are equipped with nice baskets.
The entire bight is very rolly so be prepared but it does settle at night.
We were there for New Years and Race Week which was a lot of fun. Key West is amazing and we enjoyed our time there.
Best Happy Hour in town is Bagatelles and hopefully Frankie will be there. Lobster Mac and cheese or the Tuna Capariso. Half price drinks and food from 5-7 pm.
Also, Alonzo%u2019s and Conch Republic have great Happy Hours.
Don%u2019t miss Drag Queen Bingo at 801 Duval 5 pm every Sunday but remember it is not your grandma%u2019s bingo. Also Aqua has a great Drag Show.
The Top of the Crown Plaza is amazing for Sunset but it will be closing, sadly, at the end of the season to build a day spa.
Off the beaten path, go to Santiago%u2019s Bodega. Some of the best food ever. It is tapas and also a local place. Azur is amazing as well.

Conch Harbor, St Pat's Day, 2014-03-19
Captain: , Cape Coral, Fl (82)

Perfect location in KW. 3 Minute walk to Schooners Wharf for 6 am to noon happy hour breakfast! Staff was very helpful. Weather kept us pinned to the da]ock an extra day and when we asked if we could stay the response was "We will never kick you off the dock in bad weather!" An expected answer, but it was obvious that this was the policy and culture there. We were in slip 9. This is on the west side of the main dock, 5 slips from the seawall. Odd number slips on the west side, even on the east. The west side, especially as you get close to the seawall gets pretty narrow. Lots of 50-60' Vikings and Hatterases sticking out into the fairway. We did turn around outside the fuel dock and backed all the way down the fairway. Made it much easier. Can't wait until our next visit.

nice if you want to be in town., 2014-02-20

Excellent!, 2013-10-28

Friendly and helpful staff...beautiful facilities...very secure and bikes, laundry, electricity, cable...wish my home marina had some of Conch Harbor's services!

helpful staff, 2013-07-20
Captain: , Indian Rocks Beach (296)

Great spot to get gas and pump out, easy in and out.

Great place to see KW from..., 2013-07-19
Captain: , MA and Southwest FL (538)

Nice docks, pool and bar. Restrooms were OK, but we have a high standard in that department.

Winds out of the North will bring in some rollers, but otherwise it was fine.

Staff were very helpful and accomodating.

Great access to Key West, 2013-05-25
Captain: , Utica, Ohio (245)

Others speak of it being rolly, but our two nights here we didn't notice anything unusual. Maybe depends on what you're used to? If you haven't come into these docks you do have to pay attention to the channels. It get very confusing and the abrupt turns aren't readily apparent, especially given the distractions of heacy traffic coming and going. Docks and facilities are fine. A little hike to get to restrooms/showers but the walk takes you by the pool which can be very entertaining. Staff was very friendly and interested in helping in every way. Great place and I would come back.

Marina of last resort, 2013-04-04
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (81)

great marina, friendly people but always rocking and rolling, even on calm days. When the wind blows it gets even worse. For a quiet and safer spot, choose A&B or Galleon Marinas.

A great place to expiriance Key West, 2013-02-23
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

Stayed here for 3 nights, staff will help you handle the lines. A nice secure Marina. I do not like the price tag of $3.50 ft but it's Key West (the power is included). Will stay here again next year!

Great Place, 2013-02-07
Captain: , Key Largo (254)

This is a very nice to stay and though it is a bit pricey, it is not too bad considering the location.

Great Marina, 2012-07-09
Captain: , Twin Dolphin Marina (271)

Friendly staff, nice facilities, reasonable prices considering the location. It can get midly bumpy from time to time as the charter boats leave the surrounding marinas, but it's not terrible. That's really the only, very mild, compliant with this otherwise great marina. This will be a regular stop for us when we visit Key West.

Lost Shaker of Salt, 2012-06-21
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (1089)

If you want a real Key West experience, Conch Harbor offers it all. Fuel, good docks (fixed), a rocking party pool at Dante's, and a VERY freindly and helpful staff. Only downside for me was the open exposure to the basin which caused some wake action from passing boats.

Great Location!, 2012-06-11
Captain: , Halifax Marina Daytona Beach (300)

Great Location, great pool,
but no protection from the waves so it can be very bumpy in the marina

great marina, 2012-05-26
Captain: , Indianapolis, IN (50)

We have stayed here two times and we enjoy the marina. Laundry and shower rooms are very clean. Friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice, but be ready to spend big money, 2012-03-24
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

We have been to hundreds of marinas, and this is one of the nicest in a terrific location for Key West. But you should be prepared to pay for it. It is $3.50/ft. The bathrooms are above the pool and very clean. The marina is adjacent to the pool/bar called Dante's which on many afternoons has a DJ for the young crowd so expect some loud music. But to enjoy Key West, it is hard to find a better location.

Still the Best in Key West!!!, 2012-01-19
Captain: , Delray Beach, FL (327)

This is like docking at your best friend's house! Dock Master Diane Ogden lives aboard at the marina. She was there to catch lines and guide us to our slip at 2AM after the Lauderdale to KW Race. Great Staff! Great location...walk to everything in KW. Great facilities....heads, showers, laundry, pool. Best marina in Key West...hands down!!

One of our favorite places, 2012-01-18
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (334)

We have stayed at Conch Harbor dozens of time. Diane has been very helpful and always gets us a slip. It is nice that she treats us as friends.

Chonch Harbor Slip Owner Notes, 2011-11-23
Captain: , Key West, FL (10)

As an owner at Chonch Harbor I of course rate it 5 stars, but I would do the same even if the slip were not part of my portfolio. The staff is great and the location is unbeatable! If you visit, feel free to stop by and say Hi...we're in Slip 8.

perfect location to experience Key West, 2011-06-02
Captain: , New Orleans (651)

We were glad we chose the marina instead of the anchorage as it was easy to walk to everything! The laundry and showers were top notch with cool air. A bit of a splurge for us, but one we were glad we let ourselves indulge in. We were in the "cruiser" side of town with most people riding bikes so we saw bery few cars on the road.

Best in Key West, 2011-04-24
Captain: , Hawesville,Ky (371)

Conch Harbor Marina's friendly staff and colourful dock residents make you feel like family the minnute you hit the dock. The dock hands are happy to assist and acomodate you, and will take good care of any size vessel. Massive Tarpin cruise the basin like missles, happily snapping up anything that hits the water. Enjoy the eavning show when the charter vessels come home to port, and clean their kills. The tarpin, pelicans, and local baracuda have a feeding frenzy/deathmatch for the scraps. The pool is not olympic size, but nice too cool off in (though it gets crowded in the eavnings) and although the bar is rowdy, we're kentuckians and our team is in the final four, so the bigscreens were welcome. Restrooms are clean, and well secured, as well as the docks. Make sure you have both your key card, and the gate code if you go up after 8. Overall a wonderful marina with access to old-town and all its attracrtions. The nearby Western Union is Key West's flagship, and in negotiations to become the flagship of all of florida. all and all a friendly marina with knowledgeable staff, and a great springboard to head to the dry tourtugas.

Good place to spend a night, pump out, and get fuel., 2011-04-06
Captain: , San Francisco CA (1301)

Pricey but still the cheapest marina in Key West. Loads of big sport fishers here, so sailboats will be the exception. The DJ at the bar-restaurant at the top of the wharf almost blasted us out our first late afternoon there, but quieted down later. We spent two nights here so we could tour Key West. Nice not to have to dinghy a long, long way from the anchorages around Wisteria Island.

Excellent marina in Key West, 2010-12-26
Captain: , Bermuda (219)

We are here for Christmas and having a great time. The staff could not have been more helpful when we came in after a long day at sea to pick up fuel, pump out and get settled in our slip. The pool is excellent and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The docks are fixed, but not too high so easy to get on and off. Great location in Key West, close to bars, restaurants and shops but not noisy.

Great stay in Key West, 2010-03-08
Captain: , Lake Norman (20)

We stayed at Conch Harbor for 5 weeks and can't say enough about the people running this facility - all very nice and very helpful. The marina is located at the end of the boardwalk and a short walk to Duval St and many restaurants and bars but far enough away that you can get out of the noise and action. The monthly rate makes for a reasonable stay - for 5 weeks we payed $2/ft. The physical facilties are average but the location, price, and staff more than compensate.

Good Experience at Conch Harbor, 2009-07-06
Captain: , North Palm Beach, FL (539)

Found staff friendly and helpful. Docks in good condition. Very clean and cool laundry. Nice pool area with casual dining and bar area which is open to marina customers as well as walk-in paying customers. Great covered car parking garage. Good fuel dock. Much nicer and quieter than the Key West Bight Marina (City run) next door. Expensive at $3.50 per foot, but that does include power. Well located relative to Old Town tourist attractions.
