Reviews for Colchester Harbour Marina
Colchester Harbour Marina, 2015-08-09
Captain: , Windsor (270)

Not much going on here. It is a quant little town, nice to go for a walk around in. If the wind is from the south or SW the enterance is exposed fully to the waves. We watched a few other boats leave before daring it. A little dodgy but we had the power on and were fine.

Rather small marina with friendly staff. A snack bar under the closed restaurant serves the nearby beach, but a walk to a real meal. Easy call to CAN-PASS to check into Canada. Facilities were adequate. Nice overnight stop.

Great staff, 2011-08-17

We spent the night here in early August. The channel is a bit unclear. I would suggest calling on VHF 68 for guidance on entering especially if a west wind is present.
When we departed the following morning a west wind about 15 knots was gusting. Being a sailboat we needed some asistance in backing out of the transient berth. Staff and locals all got together to assist us and were extremely pleasant and helpful.
Agreat spot but quiet. The Restaurant located in the harbour has been "under renovations" for years and remains upopened. There is a reasonable bar/restaurant about 1 K from the marina

Nice marina with few ammenities, 2010-08-29
Captain: , Freeport, ME (255)

We spent one evening tied up to the non-service dock and it was very quiet. One dock has service available and the other is without. The marina staff was very friendly and willing to answer questions about the area. There are not many stores, restaurants, or attractions within walking distance but it is a very nice harbor to spend the evening. There is a winery within walking distance but we did not visit it. The evening we spent had winds from the south which, with the harbor opening facing south, led to a wavy night. The bathrooms were kept very clean, as were the showers.
