Reviews for Cocoa Village Marina
Great Marina/Great Location, 2016-10-09
Captain: , Merritt Island Florida (150)

When we bought our boat it was in CVM, and after a month we decided to keep it there. All the Staff (Ken,Kelly,Mike, and Mike) are very proffesional, friendly and willing to help out. Facility has some of the best clean and modern bathrooms and comfortable lounge areas we have seen in our travels. Location next to Cocoa Village is great, many nice restaurants and Travis Hardware within walking distance. West Marine and Publix Supermarket a short distance away. We are currently on our way back from a cruise to the Chesapeake and look forward to returning to CVM.

Just left after spending the winter here. We think this is the nicest marina we have stayed at. The people are wonderful and we have made many friends there. Cocoa Village Marina will always be Home for us and we look forward to returning in the fall.

Hurricane Mathew update: marina has lost decking on outer dock, concrete wave break did it's job and protected all boats in west basin. Currently no power. Staff did and are doing a remarkable job helping people and keeping boats safe.

Great stay!! - Bioluminescence in water visible after dark!!!!, 2016-09-09
Captain: , Not Currently Applicable (71)

This marina has very helpful and knowledgeable staff. The staff is friendly and great. The facilities are clean. The channel is well marked. Everything about this marina was great, including showers, laundry, Wifi and lots of places to eat and shop within a short walking distance. Also, if your're there this time of year, do yourself a favor and observe the bioluminescence in the water after dark. We observed an amazing amount here, none north in Titusville and none south in Vero.

Excellent overnight stop, 2016-09-08
Captain: , currently Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4407)

Very nice facilities; excellent staff, and chanrming downtown. We enjoyed our brief overnighter, and will be back. Recommend Ryan's Pizza highly.

Spetacular July 4th, 2016-07-18
Captain: , Daytona Beach, Fl (20)

Reserved a slip for the night of the 4th and from the moment we arrived with a simple approach to the following day when we pushed off it was a grand time. Kelly got us into our T-slip with such enthusiam and friendly greetings. Of course the firework display as viewed from our boat in the West Basin was Spectacular!
Got an unexpected Pump out in the AM before we had even woke, nice touch. Facilty is happy, clean, and oh so convienient to Cocoa Village, all walking distance. Planning our next trip!

Another perfect stop here, 2016-07-08
Captain: , Rockport, ON, Canada (265)

Just like the last time, everything was perfect. Staff met to help dock, facilities spotless and complete and right by the old Cocoa district.

What a great find!, 2016-06-29
Captain: , Tempe, AZ (210)

We were told about this place by some experienced Loopers. Really nice facilities and staff. Cute town of old Cocoa Village is right here. Also the Space Coast Transit System has a bus stop 2 blocks away. For 75 cents you can ride over to the beach and Sandbar beach bar, stop at Walmart on the way back. Bus runs every half hour.

Our stay at Cocoa Village Marina, 2016-06-24
Captain: , Sturgeon Bay, WI (20)

Without a doubt this is one of the best marinas we have ever stayed at. The staff is so friendly, helpful and amazing. Thanks Ken for all your help! Facilities are so clean and nice. The town is so quaint and the restaurants are excellent. Anything Kelly recommends is wonderful. Met a great Uber driver here too, Ben was amazing. We will be back! A 2 day stay ended up 9, so.......... Even got to see a launch at KSC!

All of the Above! Will definitely return!, 2016-06-22
Captain: , Houston (130)

We agree with every 5 Star review! Ken, Kelly and everyone was great. We stopped by to check it out on a drive up the coast. They were so welcoming we opted to make a longer run and skip Eau Galle/Melbourne and stay an extra day here. The Village is great. Donald Brown Diving! Great. I dropped my Maui Jim (Rx) and he and his diver showed up early the next day so we could get underway and they found them right away! Great experience all the way around!

Excellent Visit, 2016-06-04
Captain: , Palm City FL (134)

We enjoyed a 3-day stay at this well managed marina. Friendly and professional staff with first class laundry and shower arrangement.

No fuel so plan accordingly.

Friendly staff, 2016-05-30
Captain: , Ft Lauderdale (131)

Called while underway on holiday weekend and was told they were full. They called me back an hour later and said we don't like to tell anybody no and gave me an option for a slip inside the marina ( as opposed to normal outside lay along. 2 people to help at dock, tied us up / plugged in etc. Gave us run down of all the restaurants in town. Easy walk to village with many dining options. Giant 100 + year old hardware store in walking distance. Great donuts at Sugar Shack. Definitely a good stop !

Cocoa village marina, 2016-05-19
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, Fl (280)

Look when the general manager Ken Lunden came out to guide us in we knew this place was great. Personal service, very clean rest and showers. Wonderful location to down town and about 15 resturants. Also had some generator problems and they recommended some nice mechanics. We were only going to stay one night but might stay 3

Will not pass it by!!, 2016-05-06
Captain: , Kemah, Texas (202)

This is such a great place to stop we won't pass it by. Ken, Kelly and Mike were the best. and the Village is great. The facilities are the best we have seen from Texas to the Bahamas and South Floridia. The boaters lounge is huge and very nice. Only improvement would be if the lounge were open at night. Give it a try.

Terrific Stop!, 2016-04-30
Captain: , Beaufort, S.C. (570)

What a great marina! Staff members are all cordial and do an excellent job guiding you into your slip with accurate directions and friendly help on the docks. The marina has wonderful well maintained facilities and the adjacent town is filled with cute shops and restaurants. We now have a puppy on board and found this to be a very dog friendly marina and town.

Cocoa Villlage Marina, 2016-04-29
Captain: , New York (10)

Hi: My husband and I are in North Carolina
We stopped at Cocoa Village Marina

Pros: Great Internet Services
Cons: NO PUMP-OUT on weekends

Because of no pump-out we will skip it next fall

One of the nicest lounge areas we've seen, 2016-04-25
Captain: , Phoenix (100)

Though the maneuvering space docks seems small, excellent quick-thinking dockhand Ken helped us maintain safety entering our slip. One of the largest and most comfortable lounge areas we've seen; bathrooms and laundry area with 4 washers/dryers are kept clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful; old town just blocks away. Lovely yarn shop in town for you fiber artists.

We'll Be Back, 2016-04-16
Captain: , Solomons, MD (161)

Spent the Holidays here. The village was beautiful with ample eateries, shopping and art galleries. Public bus service to Walmart, mall and Publix was very convenient and efficient. Ken, Kelly and crew couldn't be more accomodating. Planned on a two week stop and spent a month!

Great marina, stayed one week, 2016-04-08
Captain: , Grand Rivers, Ky (1522)

Very helpful friendly staff and facility. Restrooms, showers, and laundry very nice. Great location to visit downtown Cocoa Village. Within Enterprise pick up area.

Well run nice marina, 2016-03-24
Captain: , Chicago, Racine, Fish Creek,Wi (1870)

Stayed here three days March 20,21,22, 2016. Everthing very clean and well kept. Friendly staff and very helpful. Town is very nice to visit with nice park area on the waterfront. Good internet service. Fixed docks are a bit high but on the good there is really minimal tide to contend with. People staying in the marina nice and friendly.

Excellent Marina!!, 2016-03-20
Captain: , Daytona Beach, FL (82)

I manage a marina north of here and I can tell you that this place has it all covered from superior dock service to an awesome town across the street. Kelly's assistance dockside was perfect. Shes very professional and cares deeply about her customers........which is what this business is all about. The amenities here are top shelf, clean, and well-thought out. I will have a lot of work to do to bring my harbor to this standard. I congratulate you guys on a beautiful facility. Time to head home and get busy!!

Exuberant Staff Enthused About SERVICE, 2016-03-19
Captain: , Hobe Sound, Florida (450)

Kelly and Ken are mentioned in many reviews, and for good reason; they create excitement around your stay at their marina - and it's a very good one - adjacent to a delightful village with much to offer. We were there only one night, but will return to stay and play longer.

Returned to Cocoa Village Marina twice in one week, once northbound and again on the way back south, and we'll stop in still again on the first night of our Great Circle Loop Cruise at the beginning of April, heading north again. Service and facilities remain top-notch, and Kelly and Ken make it even more welcoming each time. Try the Sugar Shack for a remarkable variety of fresh-baked donuts right up the street, across from the hardware store, before heading out in the morning.

Outstanding !, 2016-02-07
Captain: , Annapolis (2677)

The staff here are exceptional. Well protected marina with excellent docks and clean and very well maintained facilities. The wifi here is the best we have had in any marina. We stayed two months. The village is lovely. There are great restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a great park on the waterfront, and many interesting shops. Don't miss a stop at Travis Hardware. The Cocoa Village Playhouse has terrific shows.

Great Stop, 2016-01-28
Captain: , Virginia Beach (180)

We were looking for a nice marina to spend a week at. CVM was definitely the place. Great people...Kelly and Ken were fantastic...great facilities...and great wifi. Not only were the restrooms very nice, but they were also spotlessly clean. The town was great too...lots little shops and restaurants.

Very nice marina as long as you are not on face dock, 2016-01-17
Captain: , Lewis Creek, Md (1214)

Overall, the marina is nice, excellent internet, tile bathrooms and cable. I was warned that the face dock might have waves, but wakes are also an issue. The captains lounge is also not open after 5 pm.

Great Marina with a Great Location, 2016-01-05
Captain: , Hull, MA (700)

Very nice marina with excellent fixed docks and a very helpful staff.
The location of the marina is right in downtown Cocoa so shopping, restuarants, etc are only a few steps away.

Great Spot, 2015-11-21
Captain: , Mystic, CT (180)

Came in ahead of foul weather. Able to find us a spot. Trish talked us in, stern to inside. Marina is top shelf. Really friendly and helpful staff. Great spot for a side trip to Kennedy Space Center with a rental car. Loved Dolphins and manatees.

Great Marina, 2015-11-07
Captain: , Wickford, RI (330)

This is a really nice marina with fantastic luxury facilities. The staff is friendly and helpful when docking. There's no current inside. It's easy walking distance to resturants. There's water, power and pumpout at every dock. Strong WiFi. There is no place you can walk to, to provision, a courtesy car would be real nice finishing touch.

Wonderful marina. A must!, 2015-11-06
Captain: , Wickford, RI (937)

Roberto and Maria
Kadey Krogen 48'

Our second time staying here, loved it the first time and loved it now. Impeccable facilities, with restrooms and showers only seen in 5 star hotels. Great, spacious lounge area for guest. Great wifi throughout the docks. Friendly dock hands and marina employees. Cross the street to downtown Cocoa Village with numerous restaurants, shops and one of the best hardware stores I've ever seen that should not be missed.
Can't wait to return.

Easy entrance plenty of depth 8ft=, 2015-11-04
Captain: , London (639)

Just stayed again on the way south, this is the friendliest cleanest marina. Gets better every time

Ken and Kelly could not have been more helpful, they made us feel at home and like we had been there for ages. We only had time to stay one night but will return soon. Good fixed docks, but no tide so easy to deal with, great showers and boaters lounge, good security and everbody we spoke to was happy. The town is wonderful and the hardware store is even better, could spend a day in there and still not see it all, don't miss it!

Just stayed again for three nights and visited Kennedy space centre (Canaveral) Awesome! Marina and staff as good as ever, don't miss this place, call and stay!

Great stop, 2015-11-01
Captain: , Newport,RI (12)

From the initial contact for reservation, to the greeting at the dock Kelly does a fantastic job. we look forward to returning to Cocoa Viilage.

Nice facility, easy in & out., 2015-10-31
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1796)

Nice facility, 12 feet of water at face dock, rate was $2.00 ft plus electric, town was neat and had a lot of restaurants withing walking. Staff was cordial and while he was gone dockmaster Ken is very concerned about serving your needs as I have known him previously.

Friendly staff, great facilities., 2015-10-24
Captain: , Wrightsville Beach, NC (45)

We were here for only one night on the way to Ft. Lauderdale. Kelly was great on the dock helping us into an ideal t-head and very pleasant on check in. The facilities are the best we have seen seen since leaving Wrightsville Beach. My crew had one complaint, totally out of the control of the Marina, Taylor's hardware is closed on Saturday and Sunday. A real downer for a crew of hardware geeks.

Great place to go !, 2015-10-19
Captain: , Indian Harbour Beach (11)

Kenny and Kelly are 1st rate dockmasters and go beyond the call of duty to accomodate everyone. They treated us very nicely and we will certainly return. The marina is next to Cocoa Village which has plenty of restarurants, places to walk and entertainment. Very nice facilities also at the marina with good security, electriciy and WiFi. We will be coming back soon !!

A great stop on the ICW, 2015-10-16
Captain: , Charlestown (946)

Great place to stop for a few days. Ditto the previous review. Most friendly staff. You feel like family when you show up. The captains lounge is very nice as are the restrooms and showers. I would suggest that management figure out a way to give boaters access to the captain's lounge after hours. A simple security gate around the office area and then access through the restroom area could keep the place secure and people out of the office area. I always include a pool in 5 star and this place is lacking one, but they hit so high on the other ammenities I am giving them a 5 star. Kelly alone deserves 5 stars. Cudos to the management for hireing the right people and perhaps training them on what cutomer service is all about. Something as simple as that can make your day after a long day on the ICW.

Great staff, wonderful facilities, 2015-09-30
Captain: , St. Augustine,FL (231)

stayed for three nights in October, the staff was very helpful, the bathrooms, showers and laundry are top notch. Cocoa village has some great dining and local shops. The village also has a unique old time hardware store that is a must visit.

Returned for two nights on 9/28/15. Still a wonderful Marina, Cocoa village has a couple of new restaurants and Ryan's Pizza has relocated.

Wonderful overnight stay , 2015-06-16
Captain: , Delray Beach, Fl (60)

This is undoubtedly the nicest marina with the nicest people we have ever encountered. Excellent lounge, spotless showers, restrooms and laundry facilities, great docks and good location. Several good restaurants around within walking distance. We highly recommend this marina. Kelly and Ken were both friendly and helpful. The kind of people that make you feel at home. Stay there if you get a chance.

Came for 2 days stayed for a month, 2015-06-10
Captain: , Miami (20)

We pulled in to get our engine looked at to solve an electrical problem and ended up staying a month. What a great place to have engine trouble. The facilitites are great. Clean showers and toilets, good laundry room and the best part was how nice the staff were. Best slips are inside the concrete breakwater so no wash from ICW to deal with. Staff were there to help with dock lines when we arrived and we felt very welcome. The village has some good restaurants and bars and good walks along the riverside roads. Easy access to shops with bus route just outside the marina. Dont miss a visit to one of the most intersting and oldest hardware stores in the country (Travis Hardware).

Agree with all the positive comments BUT, 2015-06-07
Captain: , Denton, TX (435)

Avoid the face dock exposed to the ICW. Experienced one MAJOR wake incident and several smaller ones.

Great Marina- West basin, 2015-06-04
Captain: , St. Augustine Conch House Marina (75)

The marina is well appointed with nice clean heads and a large laundry room. The docks on the west basin are well constructed. There are no tides. Public boardwalk is a good place to take your dog for a walk. Only real downers are parking can be slim and renters cannot use the pool.

Initial 2 Month Stay Turned Into a Year, 2015-05-25
Captain: , Oak Island, NC (20)

This marina is first rate by any standard. The facilities , club house, meeting rooms, laundry, showers are excellent. There are two additional things that make this Marina a cut above the rest. Staff and location. I found the entire staff both knowledgable and friendly. The marina is simply well run. The location is downtown Cocoa Village. Multitude of restaurants, small shops and park makes for a pleasant stroll filled with Old Florida charm. There are multiple things to see and do if you have a car... Or care to rent one for a day.

Memorial Day Weekend stay, 2015-05-25
Captain: , New Smyrna Beach, FL (92)

Our cruising group from New Smyrna Beach, FL spent Memorial Day weekend at Cocoa Village Marina. Five boats and about 18 people in our group. This a real gem of a marina. The fixed docks are in excellent condition and have pumpout at each slip. The free wi-fi is the best I have every encountered at a marina. Beautiful clubhouse facility and super clean bathrooms and showers. Security is good. Ken and the rest of the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful.
Cocal Village is across the street and is full of restaurants, shops, bars, a nice park, and more. We will definitely return to Cocoa Village. Stop in when you are in the area and I don't think you will be disappointed.

Best Marina on the Cenral East coast of Florida, 2015-05-24
Captain: , Deerfield Beach, FL 33441 (60)

Hard to add more compliments to those already mentioned. If I was looking for a spot to permanently keep my boat, CVM would be it. The height of the docks and minimal tide impact was perfect for easy access to my boat. Ken and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We came for a two night stay and stayed six nights. Kudos to the developers, staff and management. This is one first class facility you shouldn't bypass.

Great Stop, 2015-05-21
Captain: , Grand Island, NE (240)

Agree with positive comments of others. Kelli & Ken & staff are excellent.

Restrooms / Showers & Laundry some of the best we've encountered

Easy walk to 'Village' and bus service to other locations (busses not always on schedule)

Fixed dock deck height 'bout 5' above water a bit of 'step' for us - no tide change (Canaveral Locks) and very protected inner harbor.

Nice Active Captain discount - very attractive week rate break ( we stayed a week)

Will return for sure

Dale & Merna

Awesome Marina, 2015-05-20
Captain: , Jacksonville (40)

Had to pull into this marina on one engine due to shreaded belt. Radio'd ahead and were greated with a straight ahead slip and 2 helpers to get us secured. Luck would have it they knew of a mechanic that was on premise who fixed us up but we decided to stay and enjoy the facilities (very clean showers) and friendly marina personnel. The village of Cocoa is very close and within walking distance for great pubs and restaurants; however be aware we didn't find a local grocery store.

Stopped 2 hrs for lunch, 2015-05-09
Captain: , Key Biscayne FL (3048)

The day dock on the south side was full. Marina let us tie up for a two hours lunch for no charge ??

Most Excellent, 2015-05-01
Captain: , Manchester, MA (30)

This marina is one of the best we have visited. The staff are highly competent and friendly, and the total infrastructure is first rate. The lounge rivals a VIP airline club and the showers are well thought out and very clean. Many restaurants and shops a very short walk.

First Class Marina, 2015-05-01
Captain: , Oriental, N.C. (111)

We stayed for a month in March 2015. This is one of the best marinas I have visited. The service and staff are outstanding and very helpful. The restroom/showers are imaculate and are cleaned twice a day! Pump outs are free if you are staying at the marina. There is a great lounge. Restraunts and shopping are within walking distance and a good bus system is two blocks away.

Cocoa Village Marina, 2015-04-27
Captain: , jupiter,fl (130)

The Cocoa Village Marina is a great place to stop. It's in walking distance to a very cute town with an array of great restaurants. Ken, Kelly & Mike were very nice and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend this marina. Fun stop!

Excellent Facility, 2015-04-17
Captain: , Boothbay Harbor, Maine (310)

The staff are all very helpful and friendly (Kelly and Ken). The boater's lounge is about the best one can find at a marina. The marina is cozy and well protected. I did not find the docks to be tired as noted ion an earleir comment. The town is nearby and loaded with cute shops and restaurants. Try to catch the Raw Bar and its fantastic oysters.

One of my best experiences, 2015-04-09
Captain: , Venice, Fl. (919)

Wonderful marina, great staff and facilities are top notch. Lots to do within a few blocks walking distance. Many restaurants and shops.

Tight Quarters, 2015-04-08
Captain: , Wicomico Creek, MD (494)

Fixed docks showing some age. Helpful staff. Walking distance to town. Our first time here. Clean bathrooms and laundry.

Excellent Marina & Staff, 2015-04-02
Captain: , Great Bridge, VA (381)

No need to repeat all the outstanding positive reviews.. we agree. Could hardly be better. We did want to add: though a rental car might be nice for a several day stay, we opted for the city bus. Very courteous and helpful drivers, good frequency, late at night service, inexpensive, and stops within a block or two of West Marine, restaurants, the mall, the beach, and the Marina. A good alternative. Thank you Ken & Kelli, the super dockmasters!

Nice people, clean, well-maintained marina, 2015-03-20
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (76)

We spent 8 days here and found the staff and the facilities to be top notch. This marina is adjacent to historic Cocoa village. . . . plenty of shops and restaurants. Norman's Oyster Bar was a treat as was Ryans pizza parlor. Need a car for the beach and Publix

Excellent Marina in excellent location, 2015-03-16
Captain: , Stuart,FL (20)

Everything is 5 stars -- the docks, the staff, the boaters lounge/office. The wifi was the best that we have ever experienced in a marina. The laundry has 4 washers and 4 dryers that are nice; however my wife gave up waiting for a dryer with 2 other people using them for a long time. The village is enjoyable with nice shops and restaurants across the street from the marina. I wish I had this hardware store at home! We stayed in the marina 2 days.

Above and beyond, 2015-03-13
Captain: , Myrtle Beach SC (30)

The facility is great and the staff are even better. We arrived two days early and were treated is as if we were two days late.
We went to the monthly barbecue which was delicious and comfortable.
You should make this part of your plans.
Bella Mare

Excellent Service, 2015-03-10
Captain: , St. Thomas, USVI (624)

we have stayed here twice - once as an overnight and again for several days. the accommodations and staff are excellent. it is a very well run operation and the village is literally right across the street with great shops and restaurants. the Kennedy space center is just a few miles away and is worth a visit. we highly recommend this marina as a stop on your way along the ICW or as an extended stay. you can even purchase a slip here.

nice stop great location, 2015-03-08
Captain: , Holland (270)

we stayed here for a week in early March 2015. everything was top notch. it is located across the street from the historic village, lots of shops, restruants and bars. the staff is very aware of the AC high rating and want boaters to have a positive experience. a nice thing is the metered electric, you pay for what you use which in my case is considerably less than the $5+ flat rate some marinas charge. the west docks are by far the preferred slips in a north wind. in strong north winds- 20 kts+ - you will get rocked. the restrooms are clean, large laundry area, nice lounge during business hours and good security on the dock. rates were decent and discounts were available . I am happy to give a 5 star rating, they earned it.

Top of the line, 2015-03-04
Captain: , Atlanta (770)

Stayed night of 2/23/15. VERY helpful staff. Like new showers/laundry. Fixed docks, but little current or tide to contend with. Long finger piers made it easy to get off boat even with bow-in.

Downtown easy to walk to and full of interesting shops, restaurants, etc.

Exceeded Our Expectations (again), 2015-02-08
Captain: , Castine, ME (58392)

This was our third time at Cocoa Village. We liked it so much in the past, we decided to stay for 2 months this time. We were on the boat and at the marina for all but one week for the holidays.

We got to know the town much better. We visited all the shops and had a great time. There are some wonderful restaurants here - Ryans, Thai Thai, and Ossario's became our lets-not-cook alternatives.

The facilities at this marina are exceptional - we were pumped out at our slip every 2 weeks. It was easy. Everything is new and well-maintained.

There were pot lucks, parties, and a Superbowl event. Watch the marina office door for the very latest informtion about what's going on.

The management is fantastic. They make long or short stays here a joy.

There is no question we'll continue to be back again and again.

Previous reviews
We pulled into Cocoa Village Marina after hearing and reading many great things so our expectations were high. We still weren't prepared for the beautiful clubhouse, the large spotless laundry and bathrooms, the nice docks, and some of the best docking assistance we've seen. From the moment you key the mic to contact them, you'll find this to be the model of a 1st class marina.

But it even got better...

We walked into town for dinner and wished we were staying for longer than one night. The town is beautiful and quaint and alive. There are unique shops and galleries and many restaurants. At the suggestion of Trish we went to Thai, Thai, Sushi and may have found our new favorite Thai restaurant. We had an excellent meal (and lunch the next day).

There's a civic center with exercise classes, a bus system that can take you anywhere, a pizza place that had so many people (on a Tuesday night) that it was spilling into the streets. We could go on and on about the town.

They have an interesting model. The slips are owned. The marina manages them and most of the fees go back to the original owner of the slip. It's quite an interesting purchase model and is very attractive financially.

This is a place to stay and linger. One night just isn't enough.

Without a doubt the finest marina we've visited on the ICW, and for that matter, the finest from CT to Fl. Superb staff led by Ken and assisted by Kelly, Bob, and Johnny. Excellent facilities from club house to docks, and all at incredibly reasonable rates. Top it off with the terrific town of Cocoa and its surrounding neighbors and you have the perfect place to spend a day, month or season. The best of the best!

Kelly and her team were extremely helpful in every way with great advice on the things to do, where to eat, and accomodating to our changing plans.

wonderful marina, 2015-01-22
Captain: , Beaufort, NC (280)

We stopped with the intention of staying a few days. Family and health issues prolonged our stay, but we happily stayed over a month. Ken and Kelly work very hard at the business of running a truly state of the art marina operation, and oh do they succeed. The facilities are spotless and the management is sincerely friendly and helpful. In addition, there a number of locals and live-aboards that contribute to the friendly and helpful atmosphere. This is a must stop.

The marina rates 5 stars all by itself, but there is more. The marina is in Cocoa Village which is a pedestrian oriented 6 block area in Cocoa. The Village works equally hard to attract arts, crafts, small businesses, great restaurants, and a mega 100+ year old hardware store. I took an obscure bulb from my running lights and the hardware store had a replacement. Cocoa and neighboring Rockland have a stunningly scenic water side road that is great for biking. Across the bridge next to the marina are all the shopping and services you could possibly need besides what is available in the Village. This is a place you will be reluctant to leave.

A model marina, 2015-01-14
Captain: , Annapolis (10)

We have stayed at CVM several times and it just continues to improve with each visit. Kelly met us at the dock in gale force winds and was a pro at handling the dockage, as well as providing a wonderful welcome and lots of village information. Due to the weather we stayed an additional day and were greeted by Ken who was equally welcoming and helpful as we extended our stay. Everyone is friendly and inviting, the lounge is lovely, restrooms and laundry room are spotless. Tonight we plan to borrow a DVD from their extensive library. A great place to stay for any length of time!

Great port to get out of a storm, 2015-01-11
Captain: , St Louis Missouri (276)

With gusts into the upper 30s we were looking for a safe haven when I called Ken. We received the very best professional instructions and help in docking.
The office /captains lounge is amazing though I wished it would have been open into the evening rather than just business hours. Kelly was very helpful in docking and in directions to the neat little village for lunch and the not to be missed ancient hardware store. To complete the perfect stop, we were finally able to meet another couple, Mr and Mrs Siegel of Active Captain fame just two boats away.

Wind 15-20 out of the north, a new Marina for my wife and I, stern into the wind were all handled with professional ease by Mike and ?. And all the while giving confidence and assurances to my wife. They are professional grade at this Marina.
Facilities are top notch, immaculate and comfortable. Heck, they even have FAST WIFI! Happened to be a Friday potluck get together and we were welcomed like old family. Great commeraderie, good local knowledge given and a very enjoyable stay.
Two days later further south we encountered the "not-so-professional" dock hand that stood like a lump in his smart uniform letting my wife try to figure out what he wanted.
You want professionalism, first class facilities and friendly folks stop at CVM.

Great place. Great People, 2014-12-08
Captain: , Nashville, TN (190)

We've stopped here in the past and I actually sat out Hurricane Sandy here. The staff at this place is just incredible. My wife recently had a medical emergency while I was out of town and Kelly, Ken, Mike and the gang went above and beyond to get her taken care of.

The facility is new, clean and the showers and laundry facility is top notch. Cocoa Village is one of our favorite little towns and we love much about this place. The East dock can be a bear in a blow with any Northerly component but not a deal breaker. For a little extra you can be in the West Basin (provided they have availability) but either way, you can't beat it.

The channel in is right off the ICW and well marked. There isn't much tide in the River and I think we saw no less than 8 feet on the way in (at night). Shopping is close and walkable but the bus is close and convenient too. Ryan's Pizza is right down the street and it's jammed all the time so I hesitate to post about it but if you like pizza, it's the best slice south of NYC or Philly. Promise.

Had to stop here again this trip down the ICW. Immuculate rest rooms, captains's lounge and great people on staff. The town has great places to eat. Holiday arts and craft fair today, so lots of people and things to do.

One of our favorite stops

CVM is right in the heart of downtown Cocoa which has lots of restaurants and stores. one of our favorites is Cafe Unique, which has an Amish grocery. Also Ossorrio's restaurant for sticky buns
Check out the Historic Cocoa Music Theater whch presents about 7 musicals per year.

Awesome Visit, 2014-11-29
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (266)

This place is outstanding. I read the Active Captain on some marinas and after visiting wonder what the heck the reviewers experienced that i didn't. Honestly, I sometimes look upon the reviews with suspicion having not found the same experience others glow about.

I've visited Cocoa Village Marina three times now and I'm telling you the only thing they lack is a swimming pool. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I especially wish to recognize Kelley, Ken, Bob and Mike for exceptional customer service and courtesy.

Clean showers, nice Captains Lounge, at slip pump outs. If this place sold fuel too I'd consider it perfect. I can buy fuel elsewhere and I'll always make this my preferred marina in this area.

The four-star rating is for the lack of fuel and swimming pool. Otherwise, this marina has it all and a little more.

Trust me, you want to stop here long enough to visit Cocoa Village.

Cocoa Village Marina, 2014-10-16
Captain: , Seabrook, TX (41)

Wooden fixed docks in very good shape. Secure because of locked gated access to docks. Staff very friendly, helpful and eager to please. Facilities (bathrooms, showers, laundry room and boater's lounge) clean and nice. Tide minimal. Fairways a little narrow, but no real problem. We stayed 4 nights and would stop there again.

The little town of Cocoa Villiage has fun shopping and nice dinning two-three blocks from the marina. If you need a hardware store, there is a great one a block from the marina.

Beautiful facilities, great staff, shallow entry channel, 2014-08-11
Captain: , philadelphia (440)

On approach to the northwest entrance, we found 5.5-6 feet around low tide in the marked channel, but once inside, the staff was very friendly, the facilities were clean and comfortable, and the location was great. If you have any hardware needs save it for when you get here, there's a really good and big store old fashioned hardware store a few blocks away

Friendiest and most helpful staff I've met!, 2014-07-13
Captain: , Fort Pierce (72)

The staff and and facilities are top notch. Kelly and Mike are super/able at making you feel welcome and appreciated. Great docks although there has been plenty of warnings about the fetch on the east dock when the winds are from the north. Will have to see that for ourselves as we just arrived and are planning to stay awhile. I don't see how the staff could be anymore helpful or the facility any better. Short walk to the vey nice town center.

May 2914
We spent the winter at Cocoa Village Marina and could not have had a better experience. Ken the harbor manager as well as Kelly and both Mikes are always ready to provide assistance to make sure you have everything you need. Great amenities and a great little town. I am sure this has not been our last visit to the marina.

Not much to add that the last couple of reviewers did not already speak to. This is a fantastic marina and we loved our one month stay. We had generator issues and Noah's Arc did a great job replacing the backend for us. Jim, the tech, and Scott, the Service Manager, were both very knowledgable and professional. Marina staff were all top notch - Ken, Mike, Trish and Megan. Only note would be that when the wind blows from the north for a period of time, the fetch builds up in Indian River and some does enter the west harbour, especially close to the entrance.

Cocoa Village is Disappointing, 2014-04-07
Captain: , Kent Island, MD (392)

The Marina and the Staff are still top drawer. They make you feel very welcome; Kelly is awesome. BUT Cocoa Village is not what it used to be. The Black Tulip, which has always been a good restaurant was closed on Sunday, and the other pickings were slim.

Captain: , houston, tx (393)

June 2013...Great service, friendly staff with a can-do / will-do attitude. While we only stayed one night, we enjoyed it and if ever this way again it will be a must stop.
The docks are fixed with new wooden faces. The west basin is well protected by concrete support seawall which provides good attenuation of waves. Very little tidal change so the fixed docks work very nicely here. The water depth is good, with nothing less than 6.5 ft noted. The fairways are sufficent;y wide (no problem with our 43 foot vessel). The building blocks the wind in the basin. The most helpful staff ; on the dock and on the radio guiding you in and helping to tie up. Immaculate showers and heads. Staff provided good info on the area. Charming town. We will be back.
>>>>Update (March 2014)
After our pleasant experience last year we elected to leave our boat here for the holiday season. Absolutely top notch. It gets better with time! Facilities are maintained top shelf, people care, and service is there. The town is a gem also.

Another Juwel on the ICW, 2014-03-25
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

We wanted to stay only 2 days but stayed here for one week. The Staff is more than great and the Restrooms are extremly clean - also a nice Laundry. The short walk to town (only about 5 minutes) brings you to a big Varity of Restaurants and Shops. A 35 minutes wallk accross the bridge brings you to West Marine and a Publix - but there is also a Bus (Public Transport). We have been so pleased with this marina that we will stay next Year for a month. The weekly rate was $7.50 ft with metered PWR.

Expensive for what you get., 2014-03-20

Friendly, accomodating staff and very clean showers. Although close to several good restaurants, the town disappoints as there is no apparent grocery or convenience store nearby. Heavy traffic over the adjacent bridge adds to the background noise.

BEST place to be layed up!, 2014-02-24
Captain: , North Truro, MA (78)

We pulled into CVM with a major engine problem and ended up spending almost 3 months waiting for a new engine and its installation. I do not think there could be a better place to be delayed with such a problem.

The marina's description of facilities includes all they have to offer quite accurately. Everything is spotless and well maintained by Johnny who is always cleaning, painting, pressure washing and keeping everything ship-shape (besides cooking a mean BBQ once a month for regulars and transients alike).

Ken Charles, the Manager and his staff have been unfailingly gracious and helpful with any question or concern. We have enjoyed New Year's and Super Bowl parties in the lounge and have appreciated the internet service there and on our boat, complete with use of their helpful as we don't have one on our boat.

On top of all the marina has to offer, they are only two blocks from a small and quaint historic Florida town filled with WONDERFUL restraurants (think we have visited most of them while here) and nice specialty shops all staffed with friendly folks. Nice Spanish influenced architecture and some cute little bungalows to appreciate a short walk out of downtown. There is also a very economical local bus service that passes the BIG shopping (West Marine, Publix, Home Depot, Wal-Mart and Harbor Freight) on Merritt Island that you can catch only a couple of blocks from the Marina.

One of the BEST THINGS for us was the close proximity (3 blocks) to Noah's Ark Marine Repair Service. They have been so thorough in analyzing our problem, offering choices, and following through on getting us ready to continue on our voyage knowing that all work has been done to the highest standards which gives us great peace of mind.

Can't recommend this whole area highly enough!!!

Rough experience..., 2014-02-05
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (20)

The east dock is VERY rough with a north wind. West dock (more expensive) is calm but watch the depth as it can get very shallow. Internet would not come in at dock when they "upgraded" and I was yelled at by office personnel when I asked about it. I was also called a "bird brain" and a "whiner" by another staff. A slip owner threatened to kill my very friendly golden retriever (yelling and raising his fists) while in the office and although there were three personnel there at the time, no one helped. As a retired engineer and solo woman sailor I've never had the pleasure to be spoken to like this and will not be coming back.

Gates do not stop theft so lock your outboards and bikes.

Village is wonderful and shopping close.

Stayed on Dec 21st for one night. First Class Lounge and laundry. Restrooms were very nice, but mens side should have privacy curtain for dressing area. Very friendly staff. Easy walk to Cocoa Villlage shops and some restaurants. Only downside was lack of fenders on fixed docks.

North Wind is trouble, 2014-01-06
Captain: , Salt Ponds, Va (535)

I really like this marina, have been here about 2 months now. The only problem is the north wind. When it blows there is a 5 mile fetch and the waves coming into the easter half of the marina really rock the boat. The other night we had to go to a hotel to get some reliefe.

Nice stop with discount, 2013-12-09

Gave Cocoa a try because of the AC discount. Nice, well maintained marina. Fairways a little tight, but doable. Great wifi. Close to good Thai restaurant.

No tides, greeat marina, 2013-12-06
Captain: , Sault Ste Marie, MI (240)

The channel in is well marked, dockhands are responsive and accessible by radio to direct you in, plenty of help getting the boat secured. We were told there are no tides due to a lock at Canaveral. The docks look like they had been fitted with Iron wood in the recent past and were in pristine shape. The restrooms are clean; the shower dressing area is pretty cramped. The restaurant where we ate, Murdochs Pub, was reasonable with very good food. This is a wonderful stop on the ICW.

Good stop, easy in & out, close to town, 2013-12-05
Captain: , Clear Lake, TX (694)

Stopped for 1 night traveling South. Met by dock hands and easy docking on the face pier. Restrooms were clean and close. Town is just across the street with a great hardware (check hours though) and good restauramts and shopping. A free shuttle is available to other areas. Watched a space shot vapor trails coming back from dinner

Great Marina - Great Town, Awesome Hardware Store!, 2013-11-12

All reviews I've read are accurate. Very helpful staff, spotless restrooms and Lounge. The 2nd Friday of each month (our arrival day) they had a happy hour that was fun with great food and friendly locals. Every restaurant we've tried has been great. The Hardware store is as amazing as everyone says, but a word of warning, they aren't open Sat. or Sunday.

The marina staff is very responsive and friendly. They changed our slip assignment twice, but were clear and helpful with instructions and line handling. Cant say enough, 2013-09-12
Captain: , Southport, NC (706)

The previous posters said it well. We wish we had more time here. I hate expensive marinas, but this one is worth the price. The best club house/bathrooms I've ever seen. We came in tired and will leave early the next morning. Not much time to adventure out in town but did go to the Hardware store. Very Big and worth the walk. Also went to the new Brazilian steak restaurant. It was family run and not linked with the major chain. The tides arent worth worring about and the fixed docks are nice. We didnt even need our ladder. The marina has a break wall and seems to have good wave protection from a NE wind. Overall, a great stop and wish we could stay longer.

Exceptional Marina - A Must Stop, 2013-08-22
Captain: , Acworth, GA (225)

The folks here are the friendliest ones we have experienced in all of Florida and among the top 5 we have experienced anywhere. Cocoa Village has many good tourist type shops and some good restaurants. We went to Ryan's Pizza and had a far too large a pizza. The S. F. Travis hardware store is a destination all it's own and reason enough to stop here! If they don't have it, you don't need it. This was the most unbelievable hardware store I have ever seen anywhere and to try to describe it is impossible. You must expire nice it for yourself, even if you are not a fan of hardware stores or don't need anything.
Back to the marina. Fixed docks, but with a tide measured in inches, it is not an issue. Cable TV with about 20 channels is OK, but the over the air channels I received were better quality. This is as expected for a marina cable TV service, but we did not come here to watch TV or even expect to have it available. No issues with power or water. There is a pool on site, but it is not usable by the marina residents. They have 4 washers and 4 dryers - $1.50 per load. Showers and bathrooms are spotless and tiled. My only minor issue is that the shower stalls are very small along with the dry dressing ares. There are 4 showers each in the men's and women's bathrooms. They would have done better by making 2 of them into 1. If you are bothered by close quarter areas, spot for the handicapped bathroom and it's very large shower and dressing area.
For many reasons, this is an absolute must stop marina. You will be sorry if you don't stop

Great town. Marina staff very nice. Too pricy, but with MTOA discount, good. If you need work, call Marine Pro - they saved us big time. MTOA member lives here. Stayed again 6/2013 and the staff is fantastic. Should give them 6 stars

Another nice stay, 2013-06-15
Captain: , WELAKA (40)

A few years ago we stayed here for a week or more and discovered what a true gem this place really is. Back again and it is as good as we remembered it being or even better. The docking assistance is first rate and the amenities are what you would expect in a classy marina. One of the best features is its close proximity to Cocoa Village, which is filled with good shopping and restaurants. We have made almost daily excursions to S. Travis Hardware, one of the best hardware stores in the world and a truly amazing place. The only limitation for this marina is they don't sell fuel and in a strong northerly wind it can get a bit bouncy in the basin. In a few days we will move on once Marine Pro (highly recommended mechanics) finishes with our engine work but we will be back.

Marina and staff were great. Great weekly rate too. The fairway was intersting to come through and the marina was a bit tight to in reguards to docking. We came for a night and stayed a week due to high winds and rain. The town was getting a little old after a week. Bike and skate boards weren%u2019t to welcome here so we hoofed it. We found the town a little too artisty fartizy for our taste, but never the less we drudged through each and every store, some twice. What else was there to do?

Should have stopped here in November instead of the mediocre Port Canaveral Yacht Club! Needed to rent a car regardless to get to KSC. Pam and Trish were outstanding, facility very clean and well maintained. The village side streets are quaint and welcoming. Dock side pumpout very convenient. Wish they had fuel.

What A Great Marina, 2013-04-16
Captain: , Hollywood, MD (271)

We stopped in here on our way back home to Maryland based on a couple of recent reviews on Active Captain. From the time that Trish and Pam met us at the dock to take our lines, to the thunder storm we rode out, to the fabulous food in town, this CVM really lived up to the recommendations. The entire facility is in top notch condition. Make sure you try Ryan's for some great Italian food.

Nice surprise!, 2013-04-12
Captain: , Richardson, TX (552)

This marina is one the most professionally run facilities we've seen and we pretty much cruise full time. I rarely rate anything 5 stars but this place deserves it. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the bathrooms, laundry room and lounge were VERY nice, spacious AND spotless. The docks were also in great condition. THEN there's Cocoa Village, which we loved. We only stayed 2 nights but I think this will become a regular stop for us and next time we'll definitely stay longer. The grocery stores may not be walkable but as 1 captain said, there's a bus so we're not concerned about a longer stay. Oh...and they recycle which is a big plus for me. Don't miss this stop!

Welcome Stay, 2013-04-02
Captain: , Tangle Oaks Marina, Wilmington, NC (10)

We have stayed here twice. Overwhelmingly the staff is helpful and welcoming. The marina is easy to get into, calm water, protected harbor, good location. The bathrooms and laundry are top notch - some of the best on the ICW. Bus service is nearby for trips to the grocery store and mall. Downtown is within walking distance for restaurants and shops. This is definitely a "must-stop". Excellent.

Nice marina but town is not bike friendly, 2013-04-02
Captain: , Athens, AL (641)

Bikes are a big deal for us as we enjoy touring the towns at our stops. Not a bike-friendly town - more signs that said "no bikes" than anywhere we've been. The village was nice if you like the little shops routine. Marina was very nice, assistance docking was great, lounge area is as nice as you will see anywhere. There's a sharp turn getting in/out of the marina but not a problem. We heard that the marina can be rough inside with north winds, protected other directions. Very quiet while we were there.

What a great marina!, 2013-03-31
Captain: , Hartfield (281)

This marina was recommended to us by folks in Vero. We last stayed here in 2001, when the marina was on its last legs. It has been rebuilt, and it is fabulous. A huge captains lounge, granite showers, good security and walking distance to Old Cocoa. The dockmaster, Trish, is extraordinarily helpful. Good rates for a fabulous stop.

Great Marina and Great Town, 2013-03-23
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

Like so many others we like this marina. Well run, clean, and easy to get into. Do not miss Cafe Margeaux just two blocks over in downtown, and the Hardware store is definitely worth a visit. This marina sets the pace for others.

On our "must stop" list, 2013-03-22
Captain: , Reedville, VA (688)

Can't say enough good things about this marina and the city of Cocoa. All reviews are "right on".

Very nice facilities and location, 2013-03-13
Captain: , Hilton Head Island, SC (377)

The marina and club house are attractive, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The wooden docks are not floating, and we saw 5 1/2 feet (which is our draft) at the long, facing dock when we left at low tide, but we were able to depart without incident.

Unfortunately, the lounge area with its nice, flat screen TV closes at 5 PM when the office closes. The laundry and bathroom facilities are clean, but the showers and attached changing space are so compact that I elected to shower on the boat the second day because their showers were even smaller than the showers on our sailboat.

The best thing about the marina is its location. It's very short walk to Cocoa Village which has many attractive shops and restaurants. It has been noted that there's a large hardware store nearby (true) which carries marine supplies (stretching it more than a bit), but you won't miss anything if you don't pay it a visit IMHO. I expected something a lot more impressive.

Great people, both staff, liveaboards, and those passing through..., 2013-03-11
Captain: , St. Ignace, Michigan (236)

A great stop, we decided to stay for a month! Loved the area, the people, and the convenience of a unique hardware store across the street. Local US Coast Guard Aux meetings and classes within walking distance at nearby park, as is regional center library.

We're impressed!, 2013-02-21
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (404)

We picked this location due to its proximity to Orlando and it's ActiveCaptain reviews and now we plan to make it a regular stop.
Ken and his team are professionals who take their business seriously and it shows in their exemplary customer service and diligence in keeping everything in tip top shape. The facilities are first rate and the town of Cocoa village has everything we look for: great restaurants, great biking, and culture! We saw a wonderful musical at the recently renovated Cocoa Village playhouse.
And last, but certainly not least, the hardware store across the street is truly amazing. Go for a tour even if you THINK you don't need anything.

Great Stay!, 2013-02-19
Captain: , Beaufort, SC (50)

Wonderful facility, all necessities at your fingertips, friendly staff! Will stop by here on our way back home.

Tops fpr Service, 2013-02-17
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (216)

Still one of the best marinas for service and location. Nice and close to restaurants and shops. The staff is right on top of every element of docking with information and linehandling help. We had a pretty good SW wind and 4 linehandlers appeared to make the job easy and smooth.

Great location to get things done, 2013-02-14
Captain: , Charleston (162)

We stopped here for one week and ending up spending two. The Marina staff is good and professional and the marina itself had great facilities.
However that is just the start of reason we liked staying here. Without a car if can be difficult to get projects done because you need that critcal item to proceed. The Travis hardware store has most of what I needed and it is only a short walk. A good bus service (every half hour during the day) will take you a few miles to West Marine, Home Depot, Publix, movie theater and mall. We got 10 ride bus ticket from Library for $5.00 as seniors over 60. Finally we were able to get new valves installed in propane tanks to replace problem valves. This was done by Boggs Gas about a half mile from the Marina. Not too far to pull a tank in a cart. Work was actually done by Boggs Gas location in Titusville but if you have a few days they put it on their truck for the round trip.
Finally it was very nice to have the village for restaurants and shops. We liked Thai Thai and Ryan's village Pizza (try the eggplant parmisan).

Still love this place, right downtown in the Village, great clubhouse and pumpouts at each slip. For us this is a destination, not just a layover.

Good Business is Good Business, 2013-01-27
Captain: , Vero Beach (527)

When our stay crept toward a week for a variety of reasons, the manager took it upon himself to recalcualte our bill based on a lower weekly rate. No asking required.

The amenities are excellent.
It can get a little lumpy behind the breakwaters in a strong northerly.

When the barometer spikes, it pushes the water down. Be sure to ask them what depths they are showing. We plowed in this visit (Jan 2013) draft 5.5

Great stop, Great stay, 2013-01-25
Captain: , Cruising liveaboard (18)

My wife and I have been coming annually to CVM for several months at a time since 2007. Although the staff, except for Ken Charles the operations manager, has changed over time they have remained consistently friendly, helpful and competent. The docks are fixed (no need for floating as there is no real tide to contend with) and in excellent condition. All slips are via gated access so they tend to be very secure and are monitored via video 24 hours a day.
The marina%u2019s amenities are top of the line and all facilities are kept very clean. Restrooms are cleaned on a daily basis, not just 2 or 3 times a week. The laundry%u2019s machines are owned by the marina and also kept in very good condition. The attractive, comfortable clubhouse is available to all tenants and transients during business hours. The Boat Owners Association hosts a %u2018happy hour%u2019 once a month to which all are invited.

Just across the street is downtown Cocoa which has a goodly number of restaurants and shops all within easy walking distance. The town is very dog friendly and periodically has events based around dogs. For ventures further afield, there is a first class bus system that can take you most anywhere in a broad area as well as reasonably priced rental cars companies, one or two of which will pick you up at the marina.

We would not hesitate to recommend CVM to boaters looking for a transient stop or looking for something longer term.

Great stop, 2013-01-17
Captain: , Southport, NC (120)

Cocoa Village is a great stop. Friendly/knowledgable staff, great docks, convenient to town. Must see businesses are Ryan's Pizza, and Travis Hardware Store, each only 2 to 3 blocks from the marina. They do give discounts for Active Capt., MTOA, Loopers, etc. The only thing keeping them from 5 stars is a "loaner car".

Great place, 2013-01-07
Captain: , Jacksonville, Florida (30)

Stayed here for 2 nights on my way south. very nice lounge. A little tricky to dock on the inside. Nice face dock but can be a little rolly in some wind. The town is outstanding. Make sure you stop at Normans Raw Bar. Great food, great prices.

Vaughan Taylor, 2013-01-01
Captain: , Beaufort, NC (401)

This marina is extraordinary in all respects! It is sheltered and in new condition, with an elegant lounge that includes a computer/printer office for free use. Ken, Bob and John will insure that your stay is perfect from the time Ken talks to you on the radio with clear instructions on docking. The town is at the marina's doorstep and offers great restaurants and shops. This is a "must stop."

Wonderful place for a long stay, 2012-12-18
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (980)

If you need to get your land legs back, this is a wonderful facility. The amenities are first rate, the village and excellent restaurants and shops are within walking distance and rental cars are reasonable.
You will find the weekly rates a bargain and the staff extremely helpful. We will stop here again.

Most Excellent Marina, 2012-12-12
Captain: , Corsica River (20)

We arrived in a 25kt northwest wind and were expertly guided in through the somewhat tricky approach to the West basin without a problem and met at our slip by 3 able dockhands who had us secure in no time. This was the start of what was to be an excellent stay at an extremely well-run, first-class marina within 2 blocks of the charming village of Cocoa with it's many restaurants, shops and outstanding Cocoa Village Playhouse.
Little, if any, tide or need for floating docks, pump-out at each slip. We stayed here for 3 weeks prior to leaving boat here while we returned home for the holidays and can highly recommend it without reservation.

Great facility, but no groceries nearby, 2012-12-07
Captain: , Algonac, MI (1659)

Captain: , solomons md (190)

This is a place that we will come back to. Very friendly and compitent staff. The lack of floating docks posed no problem getting our dogs ashore. I can highly recommend Sea Maids Divers. We picked up a crab trap on our port wheel. Anthony Demas 321-258-4912 showed up promptly at 8:30 am, cleared the prop and was vere reasonable. It's good to know if you have a problem there are good people able to help. Tim Cober "TIRIJA II"

an excellent stop, 2012-11-15
Captain: , Buffalo (1144)

There is a breakwater protecting this marina, but in strong north winds there is still a small surge. Otherwise, the marina is excellent. The fixed docks work because there is no tide, and no current. The lounge is the best in any marina, and the washrooms are clean and modern.
Shopping in Cocoa is on a par with the best anywhere, and there are several excellent restaurants, all within walking distance. Of note, is Brasas Brazillian Restaurant, where the owner entertains with guitar and song.
The town is easily a 5 star, and the marina would be a 5 star too but for the surge.

Great staff and nice facilities, 2012-11-10
Captain: , Key West, FL (90)

We stayed here for a couple of extra days because the we enjoyed the town. The hardware store accross the streat is a must. Bath rooms and laundry were nice and clean.

Home Port Review, 2012-08-23
Captain: , Titusville, FL (10)

This is where my wife and I keep our boat. It is an excellent facility for the area and makes for lovely weekend get-aways. We are a short walk across the street from excellent restaurants, uniquie shopping and a theater (not a cinema).

The only reason I do not rate the facility higher is that they do not sell fuel.

Nice marina, nice location, 2012-08-08
Captain: , Cape Coral, FL (231)

We stayed here on our way north and again on our way south (8/3/12). The high points in our opinion are the location (adjacent to the charming Cocoa Village) and the friendy, service oriented staff. The docks are well maintained but could use an upgrade to floating docks (ok, I'm spoiled). Watch the channel entry at low tide if you draw more than four feet. The marina is exposed to easterlies, which we had on both stays. Shelter is pretty good once you make the 180 degree turn and get behnd the breakwater. We like this marina and will continue to stay here on our trips up and down the ICW.

Great Marina Don't Miss It, 2012-07-12
Captain: , little river (269)

Fantastic Marina. We were there June 29 for two days. Mike is the best. He was there to get us tied up, and checked in and couldn't be nicer. Gave us great information on places to eat and directions to West Marine and grocery stores. Dock are in great shape and well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and well maintained and for the use of marina guest not the general public. Mike took the time to review the charts and help me with route planning. Gave me great local knowledge on inlets and ICW through Fl and Ga. Cocoa Village is nice. Visit the Hippodrome for a great pub.

even better the second time, 2012-06-13
Captain: , Indian Harbour Beach, FL (101)

We have been here a few years ago - this time the BBQ & Blues Festival brought us back together with another boat. While the office line seems largely unattended when the dockmaster is busy on the docks, he promptly called back within 15 minutes, once I left a voicemail. I appreciated the fact that he mentioned the available discounts, rather than having to rattle down all my questions.

Very friendly and competent help on dock and easy pumpout made the stay very relaxing. I love the closeness to the festival area and the shops and restaurant - came in handy when we got caught by a soaking thunderstorm.

We couldn't use the pool - apparently there is currently no agreement with the Condo folks.

I can only second all the comments about cleanliness and facilities in general.

My charts still show the old approach channel, but the new one is so clearly marked that there is hardly any confusion possible, even in bad weather.

Will certainly go back again.

One of The Nicest, 2012-03-03

Newer high quality fixed wooden docks with full finger piers, very helpful staff, great bathrooms and showers, plenty of washers and driers at cheap price, and a very short walk to downtown which has a nice collection of stores and a good variety of restaurants including a general store with groceries. Could easily make this a long term stop.

What a nice place!, 2012-02-29
Captain: , Port Dover, ON (137)

First class clubhouse with excellent rest rooms and showers, captain's lounge with fresh coffee. $10 cab ride across bridge to shopping and West Marine. Restaurants and bars and huge hardware store across street. Will offer special deal on dockage off season. Check their rates on radio...cheaper than what it says in Capt. Bills

great stop over, 2012-02-12
Captain: , Boca Raton, FL (935)

2/10/12 First time here. Will be our stop over when going south from St. Augustine from now on. Great dock assistance. Comfortable marina. Must be sure to explore the village. The map they gave us did not do the area justice and missed at least 1 restaurant. Very easy in and out for our 56' Sea Ray Sedan Bridge.

A Benchmark Marina, 2012-01-15
Captain: , Pinnacle, NC, USA (1340)

Proximate to village, but nearest Publix is across the bridge. High fixed docks gave us problems boarding, particularly with pets. But these are the only negatives -- it's a model of good design and organisation with a great atmospphere -- we will be back.

A Great Place to Stay, 2012-01-14
Captain: , Fort Myers Beach, FL (100)

We came through here back in July in theory for a one night stay. Our port motor decided we wanted to stay longer. Two months later we were sad to leave this great marina! After many stops and many marinas later, this is still one of our top three! The people here are great and so is the Village for eating and shopping! We will be back someday!

A Great Stop, 2011-12-29
Captain: , City Island New York (600)

Loved being in this small, friendly, well maintained marina whose owner is in the office and ready to help with any thing you might need. You can walk into the downtown area which is charming, lots of shops and restaurants. Bathrooms and laundry are modern and impecable. The lounge is spacious but closes when the office does at 6pm or so. The one drawback is the fixed docks which we find harded to climb onto as the years go by. Other than that this is a delightful stop.

Always a nice stop!, 2011-12-17
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1915)

We stop here all the time. Helpful and friendly staff. Some good restaurants in the local area. Close to Orlando and Kennedy Space Center. Good location to observe launches at the KSC. Bus service available to Merritt Island where this is a mall. West Marine is not far once you cross the bridge.

From the initial phone call to make a reservation, to the VHF contact when entering the marina,to the helping hands of the dockmaster and his assistant, to the absolute painless check-in....all very professional, friendly and knowlegable! I would have to say that this place is just about spotless! Clean and organized. The marina is located just steps from this quaint little city of Cocoa. Lots of places to eat, lots of nic-nac places to shop. Have a coffee...or a beer or a glass of wine while sitting at a table on the sidewalk. A sure stop over when doing the ICW. WE shall return in the future. THANKS for a wonderful stay!

Fixed docks but tide not so bad that getting on/off boat a problem. Laundry facilities, bathroom and lounge very good. Saff knowledgable and compentent at line handling.
Probably one of best reasons to stay here is Travis hardware! Anything you want is probably here. Town nice and lots of shops. Boat US discount. Certainly recommend this marina.

Nice place to stay. If you are staying in a strong N, NE, E wind, be prepared for possible rolly night. Some slips more affected than others.

Great facilities, but a bit rough in the east slips, 2011-10-23
Captain: , Houston, Texas (81)

Really is a great facility, great location and at a great price. Downtown Cocoa is right next door: lots of restaurants, boutiques and a century-old hardware store. Nicest facilities we've seen, great wifi at the dock (why we're taking the time to comment here). The only negative is that while the west docks are inside a basin, the (value-priced) east docks are relatively unprotected from the north (long fetch with a wooden sea break) and east (shorter fetch but no protection except the that from the paddle-wheeler that's tied up there) ; we're fairly heavy for a 38 ft sloop so we're comfortable in the 15 knot norther blowing now but I wouldn't want to be on the little Searay beside us.

Love this place!, 2011-10-19
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (944)

Other than not having fuel, this is a terrific place to stay. While exposed to an strong easterly wind (and we were there during that time), it is well protected by an underwater sea break, so the basin remains surprisingly calm. The facilities are very nice. Modern head and shower (and super clean), laundry room, Captain's lounge and pool. The staff was VERY helpful, professional and friendly. The best part is a short stroll accross the road is the little town of Cocoa Village with some wonderful dining and shopping.

Cocoa Village Marina - Excellent Staff & Facilities!, 2011-07-09

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean facilities. Good restaurants within walking distance. MarinePro is a couple of miles away for terrific Yanmar parts and service. Cocoa Village Marina, 2011-06-30
Captain: , N Fort Myers, Florida (516)

One of the best marinas I have stayed at, which is many. Management is extremely helpful, to the extent that the marina manager comes out himself to help boats get into their slip, get properly secured, electric hooked up, and will even pump out your head, before heading back to the office. I saw him out in the pouring rain to help in new boats. He has been doing it for ten years!

Great Stop, 2011-06-29
Captain: , Cincinnati (1800)

This is a great marina, very close to outstanding shopping area and restaurants. The staff is extreemely friendly and helpful. They meet you are the slip when you arrive and do not leave until we had tied up, did shore power, and pumped out (right at slip). They have the nicest boaters lounge and economical laundry. It would be a five star, only one I have given out, if they had fuel.

Great little marina, 2011-06-03
Captain: , Greenville TX (580)

The dockmaster, Kenneth, met us at the dock and not only helped with lines, but with hooking up electrical and doing a pump out. One of the owners (Bob) also came out and checked to be sure we were set up well and asked about our trip and how we found them (Active captain). Recommendations for local places and services were very helpful. They have a beautiful clubhouse. Rates are very reasonable. This is definitly someplace I'd stop again.

Visit Kennedy Space Center, 2011-05-26
Captain: , Cambridge, MD (71)

This is a great marina for a visit to the space coast. Convernient to grocerys, West Marine, rental cars, etc. A car is necessary to visit the space center (well worth the trip), but groceries, hardware and West are all within alking/biking range. Docks are new, and well ptotected. Dockmaster is most helpful, and pleasant. Facilities are iclean and in great shape. We'll stop again

we always stop here and find it to be very frinedly and a great stop over. We like the Thai resturant in town. They have recently redone the pump outs making it soo easy to do at our slip. Easy in and easy out in the morning with good water in the marked channel, we draw 5'.

Friendly staff, wonderful restrooms, laundry for a dollar a load, wifi that extends over nearly the entire marina, and its location to nearby cocoa village marina is fantastic. Resteraunts, shops, and stores gallore. Public transit and close proximity to rental cars provide easy access to West Marine, Publics, and Walmart. Overall, the best marina in a hundred mile radius.

Captain: , Bonita Springs (484)

As stated, showers, lounge etc. are first rate (although the shower stall was a little tight but I'm being picky.) Many restaurants and a few bars nearby so lots of options and the staff gives you a good orientation. There is an old hardware store across the street that is amazing with the stuff they have. You simply must walk through it. Need an oversized wrench? They have it and much more.

As soon as we arrived at this lovely marina and explored the village we signed up for a MONTH! Immediately after docking we were invited to the marina's chile cookoff and super bowl party at the great clubhouse - great time and opportunity to meet fellow resident boaters. Each morning coffee is available along with conversation in the clubhouse. The bathrooms are spacious and spotless. The dockmaster and staff are knowledgeable and polite. Cocoa Village is one block away, has many restaurants and the greatest hardware store (125 yrs old).

Newer entrance is much deeper than the old by the bridge. Room for really large crafts.

Took our grandkids to Disney for 5 days. A little more than an hour away by good roads. Used Enterprise car, only 10 min away. Saved $$ by staying on boat and bringing lunch. Great experience!

Has become a fairly regular stop on my way to visit frends in Orlando - appears to be the closest marina, esp to SW Orlando. Singlehanding always hope to have assist getting into slip, and they've always been there to help out, a couple of times in some fairly brisk winds.

This was an OK stop if you close your curtains, condo looks right down and into the boats. The facility was nice and very clean and close to town, hardware store, restaurants and bus. There is a pool, but boaters can't use it only look at it.

5/4/10 $1.75/ft $8/50amp Have stayed here several times - at both east and west sides. Had 7 ft in slip. Very nice Catain's Lounge with TV, tables, FAX, and printer. Free excellent WiFi (54). Town has nicer shops than most and several very good restaurants (Cafe Margaux is excellent). Same staff has remained for several years.

Florida not at its best, 2010-01-05

Docks in good shape but cramped. Transient slips are for larger boats and exposed. Although the ads state "Upscale Clubhouse and Enertainment Center" they are currentyl offlimits to transients. Used the shower, a homeless man came in, he had the combination for the facility. Considerable crime in the area.
Staff compitent but cold.

I always time my itinerary to include an overnight stop. This time I had to stay 2 nights to get to the two restaurants I had to sample.

if you have 5 1/2' or less draft, this is a must stop marina. Nice new docks - fixed docks but little to no tide. I'm most impressed with the marina staff - the nicest and freindlest we have met so far. Very short walk to many resturants.

Many restaurants and shops near by. The S.F. Travis & Co. Hardware is fabulous! It is one block away and if you are looking for a hardware store this is the place. The marina lounge is very nice, also a nice laundry and showers.

I nice stopping off place with great showers, laundry, and sitting room with huge tv. Good restaurants all around including a great Crab House (closed Mondays) immediately across the bridge (eat there or take them home and cook them yourself). A good West Marine is a block east of the Crab House.
