Reviews for Coast Marina
My Home Marina, 2016-05-15
Captain: , Campbell River (13)

I have my 32ft sailboat on C dock. Laid back, new owner (Derek) is really trying to make it special. Suepr good internet, fish and chips/burgers at the dock. Plentry of power. Shopping/Laundry is accross the street. Not owned by Coast Hotel, separate business. Shower/Toilet with no coins and onsite dock guy who lives on his boat. Canadian Coast Guard lives here as well. Watch the tides as the marina is open to the harbour.

Stayed 2 nights here to provision going north. Marina and facilities are fine. Convenient to downtown for everything except groceries. Grocery stores are a bicycle or short taxi ride away. Watch the current and ferry approaching. Also watch for current flowing thru the marina.

April 2015 (very early in the season) stopped here again for 2 nights while heading north. Lots of room on the docks. Facility is well maintained smaller marina with a great fish & burger place located in the marina. Great views from the docks to the north. Home style bathroom and shower (no coins needed). Laundromat across the street in Plaza shopping center.

my home marina, 2013-10-09
Captain: , campbell river, bc (70)

under new ownership in 2013 (no longer owned by the hotel). small marina with a few considerations to be aware of if coming in for moorage. Mostly annual docks so call ahead in summer if looking for a transient space. be aware that the marina is fairly open to Discovery Passage currents especially flood tides (flowing southbound here). Easiest access is at/near slack as water is at calmest and manouvering room is tight. Ferry wash is not really an issue -- the occasional water taxis cause more wake than the ferry. Certainly convenient to shopping, dining, etc

Nice place to tie up overnight while waiting for slack current at Seymour. Comfortable docks and good location downtown. Great fish and chips at Dicks. The supermarket across the street is closed though.

Coast Marina, 2010-08-08
Captain: , Brownsville, WA (558)

Very laidback marina that is owned by the hotel across the street. All the hotel ammenities of the hotel are available to the marina patrons. Showers and fitness room is in the hotel as is a restaurant & bar. The prime rib was excellant and prices reasonalbe.

The only detractor is the ferry wake which rocks the whole marina.
