Reviews for Club de Yachts de Acapulco
Club de Yachts Acapulco Late August 2015, 2015-08-29

We came in around 530 with a reservation. Their was some confusion as we came in and the Marina is very crowded so they sent us over to the fuel dock while they figured things out. We ended up on an end tie with good power at 3.00 a foot. expensive but not to bad , some surge but also not so bad. Yacht club is nice. Mostly Med mooring here and I was a bit concerned about that with the surge etc, Marina staff was very helpful. Coming in here is like coming into a crowded although not as upscale California marina, place is packed even in August and very busy, Heading to the fuel dock and south tomorrow.

Upon approaching Acapulco we started calling Club de Yachts, both by phone and VHF, all without any success.
We arrived on a Sunday at about 10pm and were chased away by security. We were told to come back the next morning at 9am.....
Upon approaching this marina the red and green beacons are very confusing and we ended up near a neighboring marina (Santa Lucia). Unfortunately this marina had 3 or 4 polyprop lines across it's entrance which were very difficult to see. We ended up having to cut 2 lines while the third became entangled in our prop. We cut that one too and after diving on the prop the next morning we cleaned up the remaining line. After our debacle with Club de Yachts we just picked up an empty buoy and stayed there for the night.

Loved it, just what I expected-, 2013-04-17

I was here in 1999 so this review is dated. That said the place had a certain old school charm. You could tell there was a lot of boating history here. It was not that expensive back then, but sounds like that has changed. Great pool. We were med moored and there was a ton of surge. We had to tie the boat up a good distance from the dock (as to not bang into it), so we had to set the dingy up on a little line to shuttle us to and from the boat. (maybe 6' away) Once we got that dialed in all was good.

Fixed concrete docks with huge amounts of surge, but what a surprise when you get ashore, the yacht club is up to US standards and has a good pool.
However Acapulco is a dump not worth visiting, even our bus driver was robbed as we travelled back form the city. Better to go to the next bay south which also has a costco within walking distance.

Great but a bit spendy, 2011-06-26

Would have given it a 5 star but at $3000 for 10 days during off season a bit spendy.

World class (mostly), 2011-06-08
Captain: , San Francisco (409)

World class yacht club with number of services including boatyard. Bath facilities are great. Restaurant is very nice but service uneven. People in the office very helpful.
Prices for transient boats are steep...
