Reviews for Club Nautico Marina
Now with showers, 2015-10-14
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (3132)

Facilities charge is reasonable (less than $30 a week), and now that they have showers it's really good. Free water, VERY clean of the cruiser community in Cartegena.

$1500 a month and no working toilets?, 2014-05-26
Captain: , Bailey (60)

Just as the title says, run and hide. There is nothing finished or working there, but they charged use USD 1500 for 30 days. Should be use for target practice from the Columbian naval base on the other side of the basin.

Club Nautico Marina, 2014-02-19
Captain: , Green Cove springs, Florida (321)

This marina may eventually be nice but regulatory problems have delayed construction for years and the marina won't be in good shape for quite a while. Almost all docking is Med moor and lots of wakes roll the boats that lie parallel to the shore. Marina services are almost non-existent but security seems good and there is power and water. Carulla supermarket is a block away. It is excellent with fresh fruits and vegetables, cafeteria, liquor, laundry services, ATMs, cell phone services and recharges, internet, etc.

Kind of a slum, 2012-12-07
Captain: , Beaver Island, MI (291)

Med mooring in a slum really. Cruisers there are mostly the ones I call the "cruising frumps", you know, greasy hair, dirty clothes etc. Easy access however to old town by foot and fairly cheap

No good changes, 2012-02-03
Captain: , Portsmouth (163)

This marina looks like a third world slum. And that is not an over statement. Having said that- there are no other real options safe or otherwise in all of Cartagena. The marina is quite full- but has room if you really want to tie up there. Otherwise, pay the $20.00 U.S. a week to use the dingy dock and their internet.

Club Pesca has maybe three transient slips, but as of last week- all booked up til March 1- they wouldn't tell me the rate- but the word from a fellow catamaran owners was that is was $2,500 a month U.S. two years ago.

Club Nautico is in a safe enough area- with either $6 U.S. cab rides to the old City or mall (Lowe's type hardware store at mall). We walked to the old city several times, with never a hint of concern.

Ther are two small Chanderlies and a great restaurant (de Oliva) three blocks from the marina.

Cartagena is fantastic and well worth your time.

a little rough but doable, 2011-08-05
Captain: , miami,fl (2241)

club nautico has undergone a few changes - the bar/rest was taken down for a new one and like a lot of locations on the water the local powers to be want to turn the entire place to a walking path - they did start rebuilding but got stopped - currently in court i think -
they are making improvements to the docks
wifi is excellent and new wifi antennas cover the entire anchorage with great service
it is close to downtown and you can get about any type of boat repair you want at very low prices with excellent work
there is a really well stock grocery a block away
the water on the dock is potable
the owners are trying to make improvements but are having some issues - good chance they will be overcome but it may take a while

Club Nautico Ammenities, 2011-04-22

The bar/restaurant/laundry was demolished 18 months ago, and never rebuilt. The main dock is in bad condition. Wifi is spotty in the anchorage, cable tv on dock doesn't work, but the marina location is great.
