Reviews for Clinton Town Dock
A Basic Stop in Quiet harbor, 2013-07-05
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (884)

The Clinton CT town marina has slips filled mostly with small boats and is used by locals on a season lease basis. There is a row of pilings opposite the docks, between which boats are tied up; there may be occasional vacancies. A cruiser's best option seems to be overnight tie-up at the head of one of the three docks. They are well kept and lighted and have 30amp electric and water. There are porta-johns in the parking lot at the head of the docks. Posted rates are $2.25/foot for overnight tie-up. On our late September visit, the dockmaster, Tim Wahl, charged $1.00/ft as off-season rates. The harbor entrance channel tends to shift in storms, so a call ahead (860-227-6808) could be useful: one of the buoys on the channel was missing and another off station when we stopped.

Late June 2013, the channel into harbor was dredged late in 2012. Now carries 12' or more all the way in. Well marked also, for easy entry.
