Reviews for Clearwater Yacht Club
Great Yacht Club, 2016-05-23
Captain: , Niceville, Fl (195)

If you are a member of the FCYC this is a great stop. Very helpful dock staff. Linda and Dan both were great. Yacht Club is a fun club with very freindly members. Food is great and great location. Call a few days ahead to get slip. Also make sure to talk to them about getting in. We draw 4 and half feet and had no problem but needed the local knowledge to get in.

Accommodating & Friendly Yatch Club, 2016-01-20
Captain: , Indian Rocks Beach (296)

Friendly and helpful dockmaster, staff and members. Great tiki bar by the pool with good food. Restaurant and bar is upstairs. Close to many restaurants and shopping. Free area taxi, all you do is tip the driver to go most anywhere in Clearwater Beach. Call for a return free ride back. Limited number of slips, so check first.

Very accommodating and friendly club, 2015-01-21

Excellent food and service in their grille. Club advise is to avoid shoal near channel center at Green "3" after entering from Gulf through Clearwater Pass by keeping tight on that marker.

Nice Club, great location, 2014-11-21

This is a very friendly and accomodating yacht club, and a member in the FCYC. Great facilities on the beach with many amenities close by.

Great Yacht Club visit, 2014-03-05
Captain: , Virginia Beach (50)

Spent an afternoon and a night at CYC. Friendly and helpful dockmaster, staff and members. Great tiki bar and pool. Food at the tiki bar was good and so was the dinner at Columbia restaurant. There is a free taxi in the area, just tip the driver. Approach from the Gulf is swallow after the bridge you turn north at the red 2 but stay to the west side of the channel. At mid-tide we had less than six feet on the east side of the north/south channel and more than eight feet on the west side. Hug the green marks and wrap around the point of land to the yacht club.

Great Short-Term Stop, 2013-12-09
Captain: , Orange Beach, AL (356)

Quiet during the day, yacht club atmosphere at night. Very friendly staff, beautiful facilities and pool, and fun tiki bar for Happy Hour.

Be sure to get "local knowledge" before motoring in, its very shallow on the east side of the 'cut' just after the bridge. The stay close to the south side of the basin on the way to the yacht club.

Not very close to amenities, but the city bus and the Jolley Trolley are $4.50/day, unlimited stops ($2.25/day for seniors)- have exact change!

excellent club with great attitude, 2013-04-11
Captain: , houston, tx (393)

Stayed here on a Wednesday night. The grill had a fajita night; great food.
The pool is excellent, and showers and rest of the facility club quality as expected. The staff and members were very welcoming and informative. If you are a member of a yacht club with reciprocity, it definitely is a must stop. They do have a limited number of slips and that could come into play.
Good depth in, just stay close to the seawall and find the two small daymarks and then hug the end of the piers in.

Great Facility, 2013-01-28
Captain: , Fort Walton Beach, FL (11)

Definitely worth being a member of an FCYC Yacht Club to visit here. Easy to contact, dockmaster and staff extremely helpful. Tiki bar staff excellent and positive, great Filet. Look forward to going back.

Good club, Florida council., 2012-10-09
Captain: , Erie, Pa. (1896)

Nice club, very helpful dock staff, great Tiki bar and I don't even drink. Tiki Al is the best.
Stayed again 10-7-12, same comments.

Great Club, 2009-10-23
Captain: , Ft. Myers (376)

Best dockmasters in Florida. Thursday night chef's special $11.95 is a three course meal. Two for one at the Tiki Bar every night. Easy Jolly Trolly to Publix (ask for senior all day $2.00 pass) and other places on Clearwater Beach. FCYC.

Try Duff's Irish Pub for lunch. Around the corner from Publix.
