Reviews for Clarksville Marina
First class marina, 2017-09-17
Captain: , Tyne island. Georgia (50)

Great service. Help us tie up at fuel dock and then into a covered slip even gave us free ice. $35.00
For a 40 foot trawler. Hardware and save a lot in walking distance Would give six star if was possible

Perfect Hurricane Irma Hole, 2017-09-12
Captain: , charleston (831)

With the remnants of devastating 2017 Hurricane Irma headed our way we called ahead and Ric assured us he would help tie us up (he is a coast guard veteran and manager of the private marina in the Clarksville town River Park.) We arrived with freshening wind and heavy rain forecast and were safely secured in a covered slip. The marina is located right off the river and very close to a great old-time hardware store, a very popular and nice restaurant on the premises, and a number of stores within walking distance. The historic center of town is about 1.5 mile walk and beautiful. The cityscape with the spires above the town on the Cumberland R. approach is magnificent. Oh and if you want fast food, a tatoo, or adult bookstore all that is within walking distance, too.

Great Service and Place to Spend the Night, 2017-08-20
Captain: , Pebble Isle, TN (70)

The service was wonderful and staff was very accomodating. We especially liked the covered slip as the temperature was 90 degrees. The showers and laundry facilities were new and working great. It was a nice and quiet place to stay the night. The entire marina is quite new with pump out at each slip. We stayed there on our way from Nashville to Green Turtle Bay

Good stopover, 2016-12-05
Captain: , Bedford, NH (775)

We stayed here twice. 1st time on the way from GTB to Nashville, Sept 15. About 8 other loopers stayed as well. Second time on the way back to GTB from Nashville on Oct. 12. Marina is fairly new and facilities are very convenient to transient dock. Staff is very helpful. One restaurant on site and it is good. Not a good walk to anything else. Very busy road with no sidewalks. Be careful as you enter and exit the basin. There is a shoal across the entrance. We powered up a little and then in neutral to coast over it. We draft 3.5 feet and didn't hit but some others who drafted more (over 4') bumped. Shoal is sand and they reported no damage. Shoal depth the same on both visits. Once over the shoal, no issues with depth. Around 6 or 7 feet.

Great Stopover %u2013 Nice Experience, 2016-09-17
Captain: , Mystic, CT (190)

Relaxing stay at very nice facilities. Setting is picturesque. Newer facilities including laundry, washrooms and showers. Docks both covered and not are recently new. Rick, the Harbormaster and marina staff are quite friendly, accommodating and do a great job of guiding you into the slip, securing the boat and sharing the sights and resources available in the area. Restaurants, a limited grocery store and great hardware store within a 5 minute walk. Marina is located in a park setting which includes walking paths %u2013 picturesque. BoatUS discount for fuel. Wi-Fi best closer to the dock house. Definitely worth a stop. We will return on the way back from Nashville.

Another wonderful stop on the rivers, 2016-09-15
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (2870)

Coming from Green Turtle Bay to Nashville, this is a great marina stop a bit more than halfway. We love anchoring, but during our visit it was extremely hot and the idea of being in a covered slip with A/C running was appealing.

The staff were great, as were the docks, power, and showers. We did not leave the property as we were making miles to Nashville thje next day.

Nice stop on the way to Nashville, 2016-09-14
Captain: , Wilmington,NC (320)

Check ahead about overhead clearance because many of the slips are covered. We were told that our slip had 20 feet (we need 19' 2") and we easily fit. Seemed more like 24' clearance. Were met at the dock by Jordan, who did a great job handling our lines and then helped us with free (other than tip) at slip pump out. Nice clean marina. On site restaurant had ice-cold strip at the bar to keep drinks cold while resting them down on the bar. Restaurant and marina seemed new.

Outstanding Marina, 2016-07-30
Captain: , Johns Creek Georgia (180)

I stopped here the afternoon of July 3rd. The transient slips were full as they were getting ready for the 4th of July. The fireworks are shot right over the marina, toward the river. It was a beehive of activity but while my boat was fueling, I was able to walk around for 20 minutes. It looked nearly new and well designed. The harbor appeared man made and is right next to the park. The staff was very helpful and the gas was fairly priced. I'd rate it five stars but I did not get to stay overnight to fully evaluate the facility.

Second time we stayed here 6/4/2016, 2016-06-04
Captain: , Ohio, IL (255)

This is a great place to spend some time. They have everything you need right here. The folks are very good and the restaurants are close. If there is one problem i have is that it is very difficult to get to the other side of the hi-way. the traffic is very heavy. But if what you want to do is walk there are miles of walking paths.

Clarksville Marina A1, 2016-03-07
Captain: , Hendersonville, TN (10)

This is a great marina with all the amenties needed. Rick, the harbormaster, goes beyound the requirements to make the stay an enjoyable experience. Don't pass this one up!

Clarksville Marina, 2015-10-21
Captain: , Alexandria Bay, NY (20)

Due to delays on the lock we needed to spend a night in Clarksville on our way to Nashville. We called the Marina and the dockmaster welcomed us in and was very accommodating. The Marina is very clean, has covered slips, and laundry facilities. The dockmaster was even able to sell me stamps and offered to mail a letter for me as the post office was too far. The park is right next door and there is a new restaurant within walking distance. We liked it so much we stayed again on the way back.

great marina stop, 2015-10-07
Captain: , Hendersonville, TN (41)

Love This Marina, 2015-08-03
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (728)

We would highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a well-maintained marina and very helpful staff. The place is clean and easy to dock for a transient. There is a restaurant within easy walking distance which had excellent food and cab fare to Black Horse was $10. There are walking paths in the park, which flanks the Marina. $1/foot plus $5 for electric.

Great facility gets better, 2015-05-11
Captain: , Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4686)

A great new facility that will only get better with the development of on site restaurants. Liberty Landing Grill is a fine restaurant with a complete menu and outstnding views of the marina and Liberty Park. Good, deep dredged harbor completely free of river current, and debris. Very nice floating docks with covered slips. Easy access to fuel and pump outs. Long transient dock will accomodate any size vessel, or an entire flotilla. Very atrractive location in huge new city park with ampitheater, walking trails, and fishing pond. Excellent location mid-way between Green Turtle Bay and Nashville. Downtown Clarksville is an interesting place to visit which can be done via a long walk.

What a gem, 2015-05-08
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Florida (20)

We can't say enough good things about this marina for transients. The staff/crew are incredibly accomodating, respectful, helpful and all around great. The bathroom/showers are as clean as a whistle, the docks are just as pristine. Ric and his crew work to make certain that you are safely docked and comfortable. Professional is the word for the directions and support they will give you as you enter this beautiful harbor.
There are two restaurants within a 5 minute walk (which after a few hours of travel you will want to take advantage of). There are miles of walking trails for you to use as well. If you want to take a two to three day stop, this should be on the top of your list. We felt as if we were the most important people on their docks.
The ONLY issue is that there is no loaner car for us river travellers. Hopefully this will be resolved for our next trip to Clarksville. Don't expect a whole lot from the ships store; it's pretty bare.
If there were a loaner car, it would get a 6!!!

Up and Comer, 2014-11-21

This place has a new resturant! Country friendly city marina, very unique, clean, new and did I say friendly?

New and First Rate marina, 2014-07-31
Captain: , Punta Gorda FL (1709)

This marina is 2 years old with brand new excellent restaurant, Liberty Grill. Staff is very professional and they take a lot of pride in keeping the marina spotless. Excellent cell coverage. Cheapest diesel between Kuttawa and Old Hickory. No courtesy car. Covered slips!

Great Stop, 2014-07-18
Captain: , santa barbara (771)

Easy access, very clean, professional, well protected and secure. Good power and easy pumpouts. Also great area for bikes and/or hiking on trails. Black horse is a good choice - good food and reasonable, touted as less expensive than other options along the street. Cab ride is $10.00 for most locations.

What a great stop., 2014-07-17
Captain: , Illinois (2562)

All the good stuff said about this new marina is accurate. What an outstanding place for Cumberland River cruisers to take a slip and enjoy some land time. There is a just opened new Liberty Grill just up the well manicured landscaped walkway from the marina.
This marina is simply a must visit for cruisers of the Cumberland.

Outstanding!, 2014-07-08
Captain: , Riverton, AL (80)

Clarksville has it figured out. They are doing it right. From the facility to the Harbor Master, it is all first class. This is definitely a destination location for anyone on the Cumberland. Ric, the harbormaster, knows how a marina should be run and goes beyond the call of duty to do it right for transients.

Sparkling new facilities, Gracious Harbo rmaster, 2013-10-17
Captain: , Eagle Creek, Kentucky Lake (88)

The new Clarksville marina at Liberty Park is how all marinas should look, but most important it is run as all marinas should be run. The harbor master is Rick Chaney, a retired Coast Guard Chief with 20 + years of bluewater experience. We stopped on the one day of the week the marina is closed. Rick was available at the after hours number. He made sure we understood our directions on how to get in, where to dock, and what the restroom actess codes were. The next moring (in heavyrain no less) Rick pumped out our holding take, taking extra time to wash out the tank twice - - at NO CHARGE. He then filled our fuel tank and made sure we had all the information nedessary to make the next leg of our tirp safely. A harbor master who makes sure your needs are met, even when the marina is closed for the day, coupled with brand new facilities make for an excellent combination well worth the stop.

Clarksville Marina, 2013-08-11
Captain: , Louisville, Ky. (200)

This marina is a destination stop. Ric and his staff exceeded our expectations. They were ready to help us in our dock, gave us written info on gate codes, dinning places, cab phone numbers, etc. Can walk to some restaurants but to get to the historic downtown area you need to take a cab(10.00) New facility-showers restrooms laundry clean

A gem at Clarksville, 2013-07-10
Captain: , Evansville Indiana (22)

During our most recent trip we had the opportunity to visit the new Clarksville Marina. What a great place. My hat off to Rick and his crew. Very professional and very thoughtful. Facilities are first rate and showers and restrooms are spotless. Only reason I rated this a 4 star and not a 5 star is because of the lack of a courtesy car. Have to use taxi service...makes the stop a bit pricey. If you do not need to go to a restaurant or get groceries be sure and make this a stop!!

Weekend stay was great, 2013-07-06
Captain: , Nashville (10)

We came in for a weekend in late May. The staff met us at the dock, helped us dock, oriented us the area and watched for us the next day after an outing. They could not have been better. It was a great time, clean new facility, great staff.

Clarksville Marina, 2013-07-01

Spend two nights in this beautiful marina. Had 11 boats with us traveling to Nashville. Facility was neat and clean and the help bent over backwards to take care of us.

Nice new marina, 2012-11-13
Captain: , St. Louis (340)

We stayed in September 2012. Ric, the manager of this new marina is doing a great job welcoming traveling boats and keeping this beautiful marina if first class condition. Wonderful showers/heads, good docking instructions and a welcoming smile...we'll be back

Great New Facility, 2012-09-11
Captain: , Kuttawa Kentucky (410)

The new Clarksville Marina is a great facility. Ric the manager can assist you in any help you need. Great park next to marina and stores etc close. Will plan on staying again next year. Beautiful Place.

Welcome new marina, 2012-07-18
Captain: , Seabrook TX (100)

Well located for those heading north to Nashville. Marina now pretty much complete. Power and water now all operational. Adjacent to city park facility featuring a 1.8 mile walking/jogging/bike circuit and dog park. Walk to small shopping center, Dairy Queen and excellent Mexican food resturant. Can't always reach marina but phone number is 931-444-0646 - at this point they do not monitor vhf radio. Presently plenty of transient dockage available on the 450 foot dock located on the far side of the marina as you enter from the river. Continue past the docks off to starboard until you see the long transient dock and turn in for a starboard tie - up. the drawsbacls as stated in earlier reviews are limited services and small boat store with only smacks and drinks.

Now open in Clarksville, 2012-07-02
Captain: , jackson, TN (884)

Opened in June 2012. Transients pay $25 for the first 20' and $1.00/' for footage over 20'. 30 & 50 amp. Gas and diesel. Water was not yet hooked up on docks, but expected shortly. Nice new facility in protected basin off the river and new city park. Not much in the way of services close by.

Almost complete, 2011-09-29
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (1191)

We cruised by on Sep 26 on our way to Nashville. The main buillding is substantial, attractive, and appears to be about 90% complete. the yacht basin has one pier in place already though there is room for several more. This marina looks to have a lot of potential and should be good for the city. I gave it a provisional 4 stars.
