Reviews for Clarkes Court Boatyard and Marina
Great haul out, 2017-07-06
Captain: , St. Croix (161)

Newly opened with professional staff and an on site chandlery (North Yacht Shop). One of the best if not the best facility for repairs and storage in this part of the Caribbean.

Haulout experience, 2017-06-06
Captain: , Scottsdale (421)

Larry (calm and professional) leads a like-minded group while you watch your boat lifted, washed, placed on a trailer and set up on the hard. I've been hauled out 5 times and this is the most thorough and well prepared team I've seen. Eleven workers lifted the boat which included two divers to ensure proper placement of the straps on our 40 ft. catamaran. Everything was slow and deliberate. I was asked several times during the process if I felt everything was being done correctly, and it was. They even go so far as to when the boat is finally up on blocks and stands, to pour water in the cockpit to ensure proper drainage occurs.

Gary at Horizon Yachts will be coordinating and managing the work to be done while we are away. I feel very comfortable working with Gary after meeting with him several times before leaving our boat in his care.

I will add more to this review after we return and launch the boat.

Best Haul Out Ever, 2016-09-28
Captain: , Wilmington NC (151)

The lowest common denominator for any boat yard is that they perform common and skilled tasks for the longevity and performance of expensive boats %u2013 and they do so safely and efficiently. What makes certain boatyards stand out from others, are in fact, the employees who work there. Clarkes Court Boatyard & Marina (CCBM) is such a place. For a variety of reasons it stands out as the best haul-out and maintenance facility we have ever experienced in the 10 years we%u2019ve owned our catamaran. I would never be so naive as to call this %u2018nirvana%u2019 (as I%u2019m not overly found of boatyards - only sailing) but this organization has its act together.
Read the current reviews, walk the boatyard for yourself, see the crews in action and then you%u2019ll be glad you chose CCBM for your boat. In September of 2016 we hauled out for a quick week; here are our observations and accolades:
1. Yard Manager Niels Lund %u2013 no drama, no delays, no excuses. Just fast & friendly leadership of the entire yard.
2. Office Crew %u2013 same as the Yard Manager, these ladies get you scheduled, paperwork done, orientated and settled quickly. And there%u2019s a rum punch for you on the afternoon of your haul-out (nice touch my ladies, nice touch).
3. Haul-Out Crew %u2013 the real stars of the yard! Always working together and cross training on all aspects of boat movement. No yelling, no arguments, no ego %u2013 just great work. And lots of direct feedback from Niels himself. When we hauled out there were 8 employees and 2 divers attending to our catamaran. When is the last time you had 10 employees helping pull your 38-foot cat out of the water?
4. New Equipment %u2013 yes it is a fairly new yard, but between %u201CThe Hulk%u201D travel lift and the tractor crawler, the equipment alone is five stars for the Caribbean. And all boats are hurricane strapped (no matter the duration of layup).
5. Yard Layout %u2013 again a newer boatyard, but one that has been thought out and kept clean.
The only drawback for anyone staying onboard their vessel overnight is a nearby rum distillery. If you%u2019ve never smelled the run-off from a distillery, be forewarned it can be quite odoriferous late at night when the winds die down. However, this is outside the hands of the boatyard. And we highly recommend CCBM and will be using them again in the future.

Great self service yard!, 2016-09-20
Captain: , Safety Harbor FL (1100)

We hauled to do our bottom paint. The office staff is easy to work with and the yard manager, Neal, is on top of everything. HUGE TRAVEL LIFT and hydraulic trailer. We hauled on the trailer. There is water and power available. There is a a well stocked chandlery on site, The Yacht Shop. Matt is the manager and Ricky is the sales manager, Rickey came in on Sunday to get us more paint. They have 4 apartments available, new shower and bathroom facilities and a restaurant ( not open at this writing).
Short dinghy ride to Taffy's in Woburn and Whisper Cove Marina.
Highly recommend using this yard.

Greatly improved since they opened last year.

Much progress - will be a terrific boatyard and marina when complete, 2016-08-17
Captain: , St. John USVI (1205)

A lot of work is currently going on. The chandlery is now open and reasonably well stocked. Staff is eager to assist and prices are similar to BM and IW but much more convenient location in one of the popular bays with cruisers. Hurricane storage is well received and lot is nearly full to capacity. Huge lift 242T operating for haul-outs. Loabor rate should be low but workers with professional skills maybe an issue. No fuel at this time. No mini mart, provisioning, no laundry or wifi services at this time. No slip or moorings available at this time.

Clarkes Court Boatyard, 2016-06-18
Captain: , Leamington, Ontario (710)

Easy approach, lots of water. The best facility to haul us out so far. We are a 47' sailboat, 6' water draft, 66' air draft. Two divers in the water while loading onto a huge hydraulic trailer. There is also a 242 ton lift....Carefully set up on shore. No power here in the yard as yet, hopefully by August. Very professional staff, both yard and office. Nils is the BOMB, he is the yard manager. A great, well stocked, brand new chandlery is now open, North Yacht Shop. This is a five star set up in my view.

Very Professional, 2016-04-14
Captain: , New Orleans (148)

We were hauled out here in March 2016 and are being stored on a cradle fore hurricane season. The staff and crew were prepared for our arrival, hau lout was on schedule and problem free. this was probably the smoothest haul out I have experianced.
I suggest that folks hauling out in Grenada consider using Clarkes Court and their brand new equipment...

Best haul out ever!, 2016-02-01
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (3112)

Everything about this experience was excellent. They still don't have power to the yard, but we have a generator....and for a price under $400 including scaffolding and service from Palm Tree Marine, This was simply a great experience. Friendly, professional, and the pressure wash they did on the bottom at haul was amazing...far beyond expectations.

Cruising Started Here, 2015-09-12
Captain: , Edmonton (110)

My cruising life started here in 2003. It was a nice quiet marina. Staff were very accomodating and helpful.

Stayed a couple years ago, 2012-11-28
Captain: , Great Falls, VA (1092)

I stayed for a few months in the summertime a few years ago. Its pretty basic, but with hopeful plans for the future. Nice floating docks and good protection in all but a strong southerly. Since its been a couple years I wont comment more since I dont know what has and hasnt changed, but I found it odd that the marina was not listed here yet so I wanted to put a small review when I added it.
