Reviews for Clark's Marina and Seafood
Swanquarter Swansong, 2012-05-03
Captain: , Kings Creek Marina (746)

We were just so curious we had to come to see for ourselves.
We arrived at Clark%u2019s Marina and Seafood around 11:00am, and found the place was closed. No information on the marina office door. No one responded to VHF hail on channel 16. No one answered the posted phone number. We finally found a crew working on one of the many shrimp boats. They informed us that the office may be open in the early morning, but would open for sure when shrimp season started. Nothing to do in town %u2013 the only restaurant burned down a few years ago. Entrance channel is very well marked and deep to ten feet. Marina shows recent work on the docks and depth of 6 feet between. May be a great hurricane hole, but, right now, it%u2019s not storming.

Hard Times, 2010-05-16
Captain: , Ensign Harbor Marina (195)

Clark's Marina has fallen on hard times. There was no fuel at the gas docks when we were there (May, 2010) and had not been any since Oct, 2009 according to the staff. The ships store is small and minimally stocked. The covered docks's were mostly empty. However, the entrance was easy and well marked; the staff friendly. There is no restaurant or grocery store to walk to, but the staff offered a ride. There is a bank and pay phone within walking distance. A fishing town with just a few pleasure craft.
