Reviews for City Seafood Restaurant and Market
Okay for what it is, 2015-03-02
Captain: , N . KINGSTOWN, RI (162)

Mostly fried food menu, we stayed at the Everglades Isles Marina so this was a quick walk from the marina. Camelia St. grill just around the corner from City Seafood has a more varied menu.

Don't bother!, 2013-11-20
Captain: , Joplin, MO (90)

We have been living aboard and traveling on our boat for 3 years now. We have eaten many meals out. Some good some not so good. This however was the WORSE meal we have ever been served. They even closed and walked out while we were still there and it was only 6 o'clock. I mean they locked up and left us and another couple while we were still eating! Don't bother! If I could I would give them a negative star rating!

Decent Food but no room for Docking, 2012-03-23
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (4015)

City Seafood has a wide variety of Florida seafood (conch, gator, frog legs, fish, shrimp - all fried, and stone crab claws). It is not a place to dock. There is room for three 40+ foot boats on the face of their deck, but it is filled with 3 permently docked local boats. If you did tie to their deck, your boat would be right next to a restaurant table, with patrons who would rather look for manatees than stare into your boat. They do have a 20' floating dock, mounted on an old pontoon boat, which would be a good spot for a dinghy; however. there are no anchorages close. Active Captain is a cruising guide, not a restaurant guide. Food might merit 4 stars, but it is not a place to dock a cruising boat.

Friendliest people you'll ever meet, 2011-07-27
Captain: , Everglades City (10)

For the past two years, have had the pleasure of knowing Richard, Virgil and the gang. Great people, great food in a relaxed atmosphere. Stop in and ask Virgil to show you his trained lizards. Pretty much everything food wise from seafood samplers, fried gator, chicken, burgers and stone crab and lobster ( in season). Definitely worth the visit!!

Friendly layover, 2011-07-19
Captain: , Everglades City FL (100)

Richard the owner has let boats tie up over night for free. The food is fresh as can be, and a friendly old Florida feeling, face dock up to 45ft. .
