Reviews for City Pier-New London
Easy access, 2015-06-23
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1520)

right downtown, close to restraurants. Some wave action from ferries, more from other boats on the river. Docks can easily handle 40+ ft boats. Just tie well and fender up. As noted contact Barbara for arrangements, $2/ft inc elec. No groc or marine supplies nearby.

good place to moor, 2012-09-22
Captain: , Cleveland, OHio (421)

Picked up a moring, reasonalbe price of $35/night. Only take cash or check, NO credit cards.

Our dinghy got torn up on their dinghy dock during a storm.
Watch for loose nails/staples on dock ribbing.

Close to nice restaurants, go to Hod Rod Cafe for great wings

New facility, new contact number, 2012-07-23
Captain: , Portland, OR (716)

Call Barbara Ness at 860-443-3786 to arrange for slip at new concrete floating dock marina. Price quoted was $2 a foot for under 40'. You can tie up for 4 hours for free. Great downtown area to walk nearby. Trains come right by marina, so there is noise.
Nice looking docks, but we chose to anchor upriver, we did not stay here, but used it as a dinghy dock

Decent for a brief stop, 2010-06-09
Captain: , Niantic, CT (327)

The floating docks can hold roughly 8-10 small boats (20' or so) and are free. The sign limits you to a 4-hour stay with no overnights. It's an ideal place to stop when wanting to stretch your legs for a few hours, and it's only a short walk up State Street or Bank Street to find restaurants. Just put out extra fenders as wakes from ferries and other boats can be nasty.

Floating docks on seawall north of City Pier. Sign says No Overnight but locals say it is done. Passing wakes need good fendering. Adjacent to downtown and historic district. No services
