Reviews for Champlain Bridge Marina
If only more were like this marina!, 2015-09-19
Captain: , Portsmouth, RI (10)

I kept my boat at Champlain Bridge Marina this summer. I had a great deal of owrk done, things ranging from repairing a bow thruster, oil changes, water heater repaired, etc. Bryan and his team could not be more responsive and detail oriented. They are nice, friendly and honest. The facilities are not like Palm Beach but they work well and are comfortable. The pricing is absolutley fair and I left with regret that I would not find such good people again. My thanks to the entire team at Champlain Bridge!

Overpriced & difficult, 2015-09-02
Captain: , Lake Champlain (210)

This marina is a difficult and weedy approach, and especially difficult at night. Private markers show a channel across a shoal that is choked with weeds late summer.

The marina looks better by car. The harbor is extremely crowded. The water does not change much in the summer because it is only fed by a small creek. Services are over priced. Not a place I would chose to spend the summer.

not really a good transient stop, 2015-06-01
Captain: , Holland (270)

my main complaint with this marina is that is not a good price/value relationship for a transient boat. the location is not great, pretty much in the middle of nowhere and the price ($2 per ft for my stay) is not worth it. I have stayed at lower priced marinas in much better locations. the final insult is that if you want or need Internet the daily charge is $10. that feels like a rip off considering every marina on my 5000 mile journey provided Internet service as part of the slip fee. for better value I would skip this marina and make my stop whitehall or westport.

My home marina, 2014-08-14
Captain: , Champlain Bridge Marina (20)

Well protected from all winds, great people. I own a 37` trawler with good dock space and winter storage. This is a great, simple do it your self marina with good machanics and freandly people, very Vemont laid back. The Bridge Resterant near the marina is very good for all three meals and is opened daily except Tuesday. Good marien parts store and gas and pumpout. No nearby grocery

A friendly and capable marina., 2014-07-25
Captain: , Boston (111)

We stopped here as part of our annual Lake champlain yacht club cruise this July. Several powerboats in the fleet came over and docked when the anchorage off of Crown Point seemed risky due to thunderstorms in the forcast. We had no difficulties coming in with our 34 foot Tartan sailboat right up to the gas and pumpout dock. The depth finder never reprted less than 8.6 feet. The staff was very hgelpful in filling our fuel tanks and emptying our holding tank. My wife and daughters asked about visiting the mansion at DAR State Park nearby and a staff member not only arranged for the house to be opened for our visit but provided a ride as well. Although many of the boats at this marina are powerboats under 30 feet, the facility can handle much larger craft and depth is never a problem as the Hospital Creek marina area has been dredged. Warm regards to the staff from the Captain and crew of the Lucy III.

Peaceful Oasis: Great Protection from North Winds, 2014-06-21
Captain: , New Haven CT (109)

We pulled in here after coming up from Whitehall and being pounded by the waves from the 15-20 knot north wind. As we made the turn into Hospital Creek we left the row of green private bouys to port and made an easy approach to the marina. The wind abated right after leaving the lake, allowing us a smooth short ride up the creek to this basic marina.

Dockage was $2/ft on simple docks. I agree with previous reviews that it is rather tight and I appreciated being able to turn my 25' boat within its own length. Some dock space has power and water, some space doesn't. Not plush by any means, but showers were clean enough and had hot water.

Inside Storage, 2013-10-17
Captain: , Port Huron (423)

Bryan was able to accommodate us for inside (non-heated) winter storage. A very pleasant fellow who seems to know boats. We'll see in the spring how it has gone. Perhaps by then I'll bump it up to 4 stars.

Terrific protection at a fair price, great staff and friendly boaters, 2013-07-13
Captain: , Bayfield, WI and the ICW (1279)

Local farms can be a little smelly if the wind is right and you have to be able to maneuver in tight spots if you have a big boat. Very good restaurant just a short walk away and right on the Champlain bike trail. A good spot to haulout for repairs or spend the winter. No laundry, excellent paid wifi, some floating docks, boat launch, decent marine store.

Well protected harbour with great staff, 2011-03-11
Captain: , Iroquois (1230)

We stayed in the yard on the hard of this marina for a couple of months of weekends while we readied our new (old) boat for the trip to Canada.
Great facilities for repair, they apparently welcome DIY boaters. Travelift. Most transient docks are unassigned alongside. The permanent dockage is stern- or bow-to.
Decent marine store and good repair/engine shop. Will accept mail/parcels and will order parts. Can do most types of work (we had them do battery testing).
There is a restaurant with ice-cream/takeout window a short walk away which has very friendly staff (Americana-style food of excellent quality).
The surrounding marina is reasonably quiet after dark (in spite of the nearby road) and this is a part of the world where people will introduce themselves and help you if they can. We were invited onto various boats and met some lovely people.
The washrooms are very clean and well set up. Two unisex bathrooms with showerstalls.
The Crown Point bridge is being reconstructed and there is a ferry to the New York side.

Basic services & repair, 2011-01-31
Captain: , Coles Point, VA (778)

Basic services and repair are available here. Setting is quaint, with tight maneuvering between slips/boats/docks. Good handling skills are recommended. Full brokerage, repair facility and ship's store on site.

Laid Back Stop, 2010-08-12
Captain: , Wicomico Creek, MD (494)

Gas, no diesel, pumpout but far removed from grocery or eateries. A good mechanical staff and a recognized UPS/FEDEX stop. Follow the markers in, no trouble with the depth. Protected moorings.
