Reviews for Chadwick Cove Marina
Great place old florida charm., 2016-09-29
Captain: , Sabula IA (10)

Stopped here for a visit quite a few times. Old florida feel in protected cove. The new dockmaster was super friendly and helpful. Have to reach them by phone. Small marina easy to get into. Only have two spots for over 14' beam so call ahead. Easy to get into. Beach is across the street and several restaurants within walking distance. Everyone that was staying there was super friendly the dock master even let us use his car to go to Publix!

I rarely challenge prior reviews -- but I have to this time, 2015-11-16

Was I at the same marina? It's hard to believe. Our experience was beyond awful. I made a reservations days in advance and was told to call when I went under the Tom Adams Key Bridge and he would "guide me in". My dozen calls went unanswered. Nor did our calls on channel 16 -- over and over. After a sweaty ride in hoping we had picked the right line we arrived to a minature marina that had one slip available. With no one from the marina to inform us -- we backed into this slip with the assistance of some local boaters. We literally backed into a slip that provided on inch of room between the boat and pilings on each side. You talk about tight. This was absurd -- and yet we had provided all of our boat details when reserving the slip. For my money -- skip this place and run a few miles farther south to where we ended up -- a fantastic marina at the same price named Palm Island Marina.

Hidden Surprise, 2015-04-21
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

Part of the joy of cruising Florida is to find that unique small marina, away from the crowd, yet full of nice amenities. Chadwick Cove is one. It really has a Florida Keys feel to it...very laid back, with spots for full time liveaboards, as well as transients. Ray is the owner/dockmaster and is very accomadating and friendly. On shore you find several very clean bathroom/showers, three sets of washer/dryers, grills, refrigerators, etc. Several folks live on their smaller boats, but use thes onshore facilities.
You are 150 ft. from one of Florida's nicest beaches, and there are 5 restaurants within a 5 min. walk. Wi-Fi is available as well.
We have recently stayed at very fancy/famous marinas, and this place has more amenties for the cruiser than they offer. Rate in April, 2015 is $2.00 ft. for transients with no discounts, but for a couple of days, this place is terrific.
Navigation is easy with 8 ft. of water all the way in from the ICW. Call Ray on his cell and he will give you the easy instructions.

Great Place wonderful people and Staff., 2014-11-09
Captain: , Louisville, ky (90)

During our cruise from Sarasota we had schedule a stop in here for the night. we liked it so much we stayed for another night and stopped again on our way back for two more nights. The staff was wonderful, from Michele the dock master, to Ray the owner made our stays very enjoyable. the facility' were clean and well kept. The showers always had hot water and the wifi worked. Restaurants were a short walk and the food was reasonable. The beaches of the Gulf were across the street and the sunsets were amazing. We will be back!

Friendly people and a great location. The facilities are clean and the entire marina has a %u201Chome style%u201D feel to it. There are several outdoor eating/gathering areas, a tiki hut with a big screen TV, a fish light, a very nice grilling area within the compound. The beach, four restaurants, a pub, and a Circle K store are all within easy walking distance. We will make Chadwick Cove a planned stop on future trips through this area.

Great little Marina, 2014-04-24
Captain: , Apollo Beach - Tampa, FL (361)

Discovered Chadwick Cove marina dodging bad weather with a sailing group heading north to Tampa bay. This place is a hidden gem. Nice folks running the place with a bed-and-breakfast kinda feel. They provide all the services of a good marina; Shore power hookup, holding tank pump out, fresh water, showers, washing machine and dryer, WiFi, Ice, etc. Restaurant next to the marina, walk across the street and there%u2019s a wonderful beach on the Gulf of Mexico. What a great little place to tuck into if you find your running up the ICW near Englewood.

Best Little Marina on the West Coast, 2014-04-21
Captain: , Apollo Beach (542)

Running from stormy weather we found Chadwick's last week. It had everything we needed and more. Protected, Clean Bathrooms, Pam & Ray are wonderful people, etc. Docks are nice, the extras make this place worth another trip: cruiser corner with TV, Grill, Gas Pit.... There's an open kitchen with washer/drier. The beach is right across the street. Plenty of places to eat and a Circle K within a block. My wife declaired this her new #1 marina on the west coast. Friendly and accommidating, Ray and Pam made us feel at home and family. The couple of liveaboards were very nice folks too. We will be back!
