Reviews for Centerport Boatworks
Small but good operation. , 2013-06-06
Captain: , Northport, NY (59)

Small family-run boatyard in very quiet, protected, narrow harbor. Pete runs the yard; his brother runs the launch and mooring operation; his wife runs the office. They are located at the south-west end of harbor, and have a small dock with about 8-10 seasonal renters. Dock is not approachable at low tide, but if you are visiting you would be directed to a mooring anyway. Launch keeps good hours, moorings generally available. 15 minute walk (1/2 mile) to bar/grill (Nicky's), deli (not great, more of a convenience store), pizzeria (ok), and two nicer restaurants (Mill House and Jellyfish) that overlook water and I've heard are decent for drinks and dinner (live locally but have never been). Do not know prices of mooring rental but would think competitive/cheaper than more lively neighboring harbors of Huntington and Northport, quieter and more protected.

Mooring rentals are wonderful. Great storm protection here.
No Anchoring. No shopping. Peaceful and quite.
