Attractions

Boat building school nearby is worth the time to tour. Tours at 10 am and 2 pm.
Local history muesum is nice with info on the early settlers and is housed in an original log cabin of the area.
The maritime muesum is really interesting. Hessel was the first location of a Chris Craft distributor, so this area is full of classic wooden boats.

Reviews for Cedarville Marine
Not enough water for cruising boats, 2016-08-06
Captain: , St. Joseph, MI (814)

The harbor master was helpful when I called: told me there wasn't enough water for my 5-foot draft. Recommended I anchor in Government Bay and dinghy in, which I did.

Great little village, 2014-08-27
Captain: , Galena, MD (1826)

The marina is nice. Docks are in great shape, wood, floating. Good help docking and briefing on the area. The boat building school, local history museum and mairtime museum ar all woth a visit. Good grocery store within walking distance. Local eateries and bar also within walking distance. Overall, good stop.

The Staff are great! Be sure to visit the Great Lakes Boat Building School. This is a gem in the Les Cheneaux Islands.

A small but friendly marina, 2014-07-15
Captain: , Pittsburgh (513)

stopped to shop in Cedarville and was greeted by the operators of the marina. Very friendly and helpful . They do have transient docks on occasions and there was sufficient water for us at 4'6" draft. Shops are within walking distance, there is a museum, etc, etc. a great alternative to Hassle.
