Reviews for Cedar Key Public Marina
We are the first and second boat to use the free pumpout, a year apart!, 2015-04-07
Captain: , Coconut Grove (156)

We arrived today and pumped out the waste tank. Guy at the dock said he remembered us from last year when we were the first boat ever to use the free pumpout. He also said we are the first boat to use it in the last year. No potable water on the dock. Plenty of depth alongside at high tide for our 4' draft. Such an asset not being used!

This is an excellent friendly town with free docking inside the basin under the bridge. Signs on the dock show where you can dock your dinghy for 5 min, 3 hours, and 24 hours free. Docks do bottom out at low tide but we have always made it with the engine tilted up.

New outside ramps and pumpout, 2014-06-22
Captain: , High Springs, FL (686)

The city has recently installed a new outside ramp with floating docks. There is a pump out at the end of the dock but depending on the tides, may only support 3ft. of draft at high tide.

On 6/22/14, I spoke with the captain of a Hyatt MY that was docked at the boat ramp opposite of the pump out. He said that he draws 5' and was sitting on the bottom at low tide.

For small boats only, 2013-11-21
Captain: , Buffalo (1144)

Because of a low bridge and very shallow water, this marina is suitable only for small outboards.

Cedar Key Public Marina inside, 2013-07-21
Captain: , Braselton GA (226)

Inside marina is subject to minimal tides HOWEVER, marina is very shallow and in desperate need of dredging. Can get in and out on mid to high tide; use trolling motor only on low tide. Great place to dock however with small inshore boats for local fishing. Ramp is OK but no other services. Overnight rate is great: FREE.

Cedar Key Public Ramp, 2011-10-13
Captain: , Gainesville (11)

Nice wide ramp, very calm and well sheltered, costs $10:00 to launch boat. Very safe no worries about leaving trailer and vehicle while spending the day on the water. Can be quite busy due to the close proximity to light house reef and fishing flats.
