Many snorkel-worthy shipwrecks: Wreck of the Cali sits in 20 feet of water with ladder access from Rackham's pub. Wreck of Gamma further north and closer to shore. Other wrecks in deeper water. Timbers from one of these were used to build the Elmslie Church in downtown George Town. There is a Rum Distillery and Cayman Islands Museum is surprisingly good.

Reviews for Cayman Islands Port
Nice Moorings but Rolly, 2017-06-25
Captain: , Portland, ME (211)

The moorings are free and very secure. You can even find great snorkling right from your mooring. The dinghy dock is fine. It is a close walk to the Kirk's Market grocery store. The only down side is the swell wraps the island so it is rolly at night. If the wind comes up from the West head for North Sound fast!

Welcoming and Efficient, 2016-05-29
Captain: , Wilmington, NC (120)

Arrived at 1:30am after taking a beating heading East in 30+ knot winds on the nose for 15 hours. We had originally requested clearing in at Barcadere marina, but no thought of trying to get through the reef at night so headed to Georgetown. Pitch dark looking for an orange mooring buoy to moor to clear in (really guys - dark orange at night!), spent best part of an hour talking to port security to find a buoy, which thanks to one man who came out of his office to guide us exactly to a buoy - above and beyond, exceptional service. Clearing in was easy, friendly and quick once the cruise ships (4) had finished, but still we were cleared in by 9:30am, then off to Barcadere.

Duty free fuel $3.57USD/gal, 2015-09-21
Captain: , Laguna Beach, California (78)

After receiving your out bound clearance papers duty free fuel is available. Duty free alcohol is also available at the Tortuga store, adjacent to Customs, purchase 1 day prior to clearing out. Fuel was $3.57 USD and very clean with no water (baja filter).
