Captain: , North East, MD (385)

Everything is close and handy. This marina ($2/foot plus $5 per 30 amp cord) is just a couple of blocks from the quaint historic village of Catskill. The baths and showers are very nice. Washer and dryer are $2 each. A heated swimming pool is available, along with a dining tent containing tables, chairs, and gas grills. Dockmaster Bill is very friendly and accomodating. He and his wife live onsite on their sailboat.

Simple, peaceful and friendly, 2015-10-11
Captain: , Edgewater, NJ (130)

Had a great stay overnight. Friendly, helpful dockmaster and a peaceful, very quiet and still marina. Short walk to a very nice little town with great restaurants and shops. Took a dinghy ride up the creek until it got too shallow. Very picturesque.

Beautiful, quiet marina, 2015-07-27
Captain: , Fort Pierce City Marina, FL (460)

we spent a restful night here. Be sure to walk into town (2 blocks) & see the artistic cats. There is a fun icecream store in town & across the 1st bridge.
Bill at the marina was very helpful & nice.

Captain: , Marathon, Florida (110)

Fabulous spot, just a short cruise up the calm waters of Catskill Creek! Quiet and peaceful - walk to town or a short ride (Bill will assist) to SuperWalmart, Lowe's, Price Shopper's Grocery. $2/ft includes electricity. Pool is very nice, BBQ and fire pits are great! Just ~40 SM to Troy, so perfect distance to enter the Erie Canal System!!

Best on the Hudson, 2015-06-14
Captain: , Franklin Furnace, OH (10)

Easy to navigate in and out. Deep creek and channel is easy to follow. Left the boat here to visit relatives. Loved the camp fire, large tent with picnic tables and gas grills. Restrooms and showers are clean and modern. Short walk to town. Safe and secure. Bill and Lora are super and really know boats and boater's needs. Don't pass this place without stopping!

Great place to stop., 2015-06-12
Captain: , Portsmouth (553)

We stopped here after Poughkeepsie and left the boat a week while we drove home to NH. Beautiful deep water Marina. The staff was very friendly and the marina was well kept. We had a couple camp fires in the fire pit and barbecued under their awning. I would highly recommend staying here.

Protected Setting Near Town, 2015-05-19
Captain: , Seattle Wa (200)

It was just opening when we got there. Bill and Laura were getting the facility up and running and were very helpful. Nice clean bathrooms and laundry. Some winter storm damage repairs to the grounds required. We would definitely stay here again. Good location close to town.
I think my ratings are tougher than some peoples. Here are my rating guidelines -
- 1 star - Lousy, skip this one
- 2 star - Not terrible but I wouldn't come back
- 3 star - Nice, I liked it overall and would return
- 4 star - Great experience including facilities, management and setting
- 5 star - Spectacular everything (there aren't many of these)

Captain: , Rochester NY (310)

Catskill Marina is a real gem. A very nice shaddy spot on Catskill Creek with picnic tables and a pool. The restrooms are very nice and they have a laundry also. $2/ft includes power, water and cable tv. Very sheltered and relaxing place to be. They are completely back from the hurricane damage a few years ago.

Catskill Marina, 2014-07-07
Captain: , Newport, RI (23)

Catskill Marina was a great stop. It is located in a very calm and tranquil section of the creek. Wonderful BBQ area and close to town. Planned on staying one night, but it was so nice we stayed two. Saw fireworks on July 5th from our boat.

So glad they are back up and running, 2013-08-14
Captain: , Stony Point, NY (852)

We missed Catskill last year, and are very happythey are open again. We miss Delores, but were very happy to meet the new dockmaster Bill who greeted us and helped us get settled. Very friendlyand helpful.

The center building was destroyed and has been replaced by a covered picnic area. The bath house is still there and modern and clean. They have opened the fuel dock (Diesel was $4.09 on 8/11/13) with all new reinforced sea wall. The pool dock will not be replaced as it was too vulnerable to the strong flood waters that come out of the mountains. The pool is gorgeous.

We are very happy they are back up and running. Stop by when heading to or from the locks.

We have been here many times and are always welcomed like old friends. Beautiful protected spot in all weather. Pool, lawn and covered picnic area. Short walk to town, restaurants and shops. Great stopping spot on the way to the canals, or a destination of its own.

Beautiful pool with new liner, new 80 foot fuel dock, community area under large tent with tables and grills. Some grounds still in work but marina is looking great and taking transient bookings.

Went down the Hudson yesterday and all signs of the marina were gone. Very sad. This was a favorite stop. Good luck to all in Catskill. Five stars for nice people.

August 19th
Catskill were fantasitic and squeesed us in. They have lots of new docks, large pool, BBQ's and pinic tables. Catskill is an interesting town with about six banks, if you need one.
Thanks again for your help.

A great place to stay, 2011-07-27
Captain: , Palm Beach, FL (133)

This is a wonderful place to stop. The marina is small, friendly, and very clean. There is a heated pool, VERY clean restrooms and showers, laundry, and bar-b-ques. The grounds are like a little park. The Dockmaster and her staff are VERY friendly and helpful. The permanent boaters here make you feel like one of the family. This is one of the nicest marinas I have stayed at.

You are at the foot of Main St., Catskill, of a very cute little town. There is even an old time movie theater. They even have a hundred artfully painted ceramic Cats all along Main St.

There is a ice cream place called Cone-e-Island that serves great soft-serve ice cream. Just don't order a large unless you can eat about a quart of ice cream yourself.

First stay but not the last!, 2011-07-25
Captain: , East Patchogue (57)

As said before Beautiful spot, friendly quiet and relaxing.
Also If you like to grill this is the place nice new Weber grills all over the marina.
Only regret was I didn't stay long enough!

Backyard Hospitality, 2011-01-30
Captain: , Coles Point, VA (788)

Like staying in someone's backyard when you're a kid, this setting is very comfortable with great showers, gas dock, and friendly people. Arriving there a bit later than planned, they still rolled out the red carpet and made us feel right at home. Water, power and gas with pump-out all present.

Consistently Great!, 2010-10-09
Captain: , Lexington, Kentucky (160)

Our 4th visit was as good as our first- The quiet location away from river traffic, the lush setting, the great facilities and the first rate staff headed by Delores make this marina a real gem! Close proximity to several restaurants, a Sat. farmers market and other shops offer just about anything one might need.

Catskill on the Creek, 2010-09-26
Captain: , Williamsburg, VA (745)

We usually stop here to raise our mast (short mast on our trawler) after leaving the low bridges of the Erie Canal behind. It's a great quiet stop with clean restrooms and laundry. Delores, the marina manager is most helpful. Dockage is a bit higher than on the Erie Canal but, now we are getting closer to the big city. Stores and restaurants are a short walk away. Annual marina slipholders are so friendly you might not get to bed before midnight.

Cats of Catskill, 2010-07-11
Captain: , Westbrook, CT (296)

This is our third visit to this wonderful small marina in the trees at Catskill. The wifi is free and four bars. Good shower, heads and a laundry. Staff most anxious and helpful. Nice long fuel dock and pumpout facilities. Large boats are welcome. There is an inground pool and BBQs available. They incourage transients. The stroll along the main street has 61 cats on pedestals with extremely creative and artistic decorations. This annual fundraising event has auction and awards late each september. We spend 1-1/2 hours walking, reading the titles and descriptions and taking many pictures. This is also the County Seat.

Pleasant setting, 2010-06-30
Captain: , Palm Coast (792)

This is one of the most popular places to lower your height before entering the Erie Canal. The marina is located in a well protected cove with lots of trees. The facilitiies are first rate including the pool. The staff is very friendly and most helpful.

The marina is located at the end of the main street of the town and it's an easy walk to all services. The post office is only a block away so it's a good place to get your mail forwarded.

Don't miss the collection of "cat" art placed all along the main street - it's very well done and very funny - worth the stop alone.

catskill marina, 2010-06-29
Captain: , Stockton Ca. (142)

Very pleasant people , a quiet dock, and easy access to town with a good Italian restaurant

Convenient Stop, 2010-06-18
Captain: , Wicomico Creek, MD (494)

Easy in docks, pump out, fuel. Downtown not much going on. Few restaurants. Dock hands helpful but the female dockmaster needs Dale Carnegie course. Laundry on site but only one washer & dryer. Peaceful setting for a simple overnight stay $2.25/ft.

Great Stay, 2009-09-22
Captain: , Collierville TN (977)

Side Ties available, very friendly, clean laundry, bathrooms, and shower.

Quiet with town of Catskill an easy walk away, 2009-06-20
Captain: , Mashpee, MA (541)

Great to be off the river and away from boat wakes at night. Very friendly management and a short walk for provisions and restaurants in town. Town, like al ot of upstate towns has seen better days with the moving out of industry, but the people were friendly and helpful. We've been here twice and plan to stop again on the way to Champlain this summer.

Quiet and comfortable, 2008-06-30
Captain: , Plymouth, MA (245)

The staff is helpful, the restrooms were immaculate, tthe pool was warm, the town was interesting with a good restaurant, and the docks were OK. We really enjoyed our stay. My second stay here and I will be back.

A Great Place to Relax, 2007-06-08
Captain: , Baltimore (10)

We stayed an extra day because of this small, friendly marina and town. The creek is calm and peaceful and no boat made a wake the whole time we were here. This is an easy place to really relax.
