Reviews for Castle Harbor Marina
Our new home port, 2016-08-26
Captain: , Middle River (50)

We stayed here last labor day weekend and loved it. The pool is wonderful and the slips are well protected. Everything in Kent Narrows is easy to reach by bike or local transportation. There is a fantastic biking and walking trail nearby (Cross Island). Two restaurants outside the gate are an easy walk. We made this our new home this year.

nice marina, 2016-08-17
Captain: , Chester Maryland (10)

We've had a slip here for about 6 years. They continue to work on improvements. new bulkheads and decking. Clean, quite. Good fuel.
2 good restaurants outside the front gate make it a nice overnight without the activity of Kent Narrows.

Protected comfort, 2015-05-22
Captain: , Havre De Grace (30)

Spent the night in mid-April during a run up to Havre de Grace. Was facing 15-20 kt winds on the Bay, but once into the marina the conditions were near perfect. Luckily we called to reserve a slip just before the office closed at 1700. We were to beat to explore anything beyond the marina, but bathroom/shower facilities were clean. The slips need work, but are functional. Would stay again if in the area.

Noted improvments, 2015-03-18
Captain: , Chester (160)

I see they are trying to improve and thats all I ask.

A diamond in the rough, 2015-03-04
Captain: , Maryland (99)

Poor upkeep by current managment. Could be so much nicer w/ daily maintenance instead of constant catching up what they allow to fall apart and also cheaper for the owners. Needs a managment reboot. The other boaters are what keep me here and they are leaving one by one and two by two. CHM staff dont realize if they give more to the current slip renters, they will get more in return. Would love to see them actually give 100% for once.

Low-key comfort, 2015-03-03
Captain: , Chester, MD (20)

We?ve had a slip here for 5-years, like everything about it. This is a low-key marina, where you don?t feel like you need to compete (in fact, if you are a high-maintenance type who needs to be noticed, go somewhere else). Though corporate-owned, still has a local feel. Nice pool, nice store and fuel dock, coffee and donuts on the weekends (in-season). Bath house is convenient, but nothing special. Pretty quiet after 11pm, though friends collect in the pavillion prior to that. Unlike other?s ratings, the Pour House is destined to go out of business unless they find better wait-staff, but upstairs at Cafe Sado (sushi-type) is awesome every time. Both restaurants are right outside Castle Harbor?s gate. Plenty deep for any powerboat, great breakwall and channel, boats are protected from winds by condos all around the docks. No floating docks, sometimes a jump down/up to the boat.

Overdue review..., 2015-01-31
Captain: , Kent island MD (41)

We have had a slip here for 15 years - It would be great if people who have slips in various marinas would rate them... The marina is very well protected from storms by having the condos surrounding it - Marina staff is accomidating and courteous. Pool is beautiful and bathroom facilities and laundry are clean - two washers and teo dryers, in fact bathrooms have just been redone! Free WIFI too!!!! The marina has a very friendly feel to it and you need to stop by the marina office on Sundays for coffee and dounuts! All this and it is one of the least expensive in the Annapolis / Kent narrows area. You canb spend more elsewhere but it is hard to top!!!

Great Pub on site called the POUR, 2014-06-27
Captain: , Chesapeake Bay MD (495)

Giving the PUB named the POUR five stars.
Service could be better but food and beer selection is awesome.
We live in condo next to marinia (and keep our boat in a condo slip) and can walk to this restaurant and have had five meals there and each time the food was excellent. Would make a menu reccomendation but all items have been good! Great bloody mary and gotta try the cucumber margritta on a hot day. Make all flavors of crushies.

Sushi place above is also good.

Tired and worn, 2014-01-08
Captain: , Chester, MD (225)

This could be a really nice marina but it is getting tired and worn and maintainance is just OK. Beware of pricing; don't pay in advance as if your plans change, there will be no refund. Location is nice but less convenient than marinas in the "Narrows"

Port in the storm, 2013-11-20
Captain: , Yarmouth, ME (180)

April 2013 - Wind was pushing 30 kt and we found this club on active captain. They took us in and put in on a slip for the night. Great facility and nearby Asian restaurant. A local favorite and really good. Enough water for our 30' sailboat with a 5' 3" draft.

Excellent stopping place, 2013-04-29
Captain: , Annapolis (70)

Great Marina that offers gret protection from all wind directions. Nice pool and there are two great restaurants just outside the gate. People and facilities are equally pleasant.

Nice place to stay, 2013-04-09
Captain: , Worton Creek, MD (290)

A very nice facility and could not be easier to get to. The staff was great to us, and the pool is beautiful. You have to take a cab to restaurants and shopping, but that would be true for anyplace on the island.

Pleasant stop, 2012-10-17
Captain: , Pasadena,Maryland (510)

Nice place, 2012-10-13
Captain: , Westport,Ma (710)

Easy in nice people even has a boater that does canvas. I had some snaps replaced within a hour of arriving

Harbor Navigation, 2011-09-06
Captain: , Cape Canaveral (86)

We ran softly a ground by turning right at 2E. One MUST turn left toward bouy 8 then to 10, 12 is missing and NO FURTHER than 14.
One can not make a full lap of the channel due to shoaling.
We did not stop after grouding we left the harbor and anchored in the Chester River.

Laid-Back and Quiet, 2011-06-08
Captain: , Marathon (275)

A pleasant marina. Everyong is friendly and helpful. Need a car for shopping. The showers, laundry room and pool are clean and presentable. We enjoyed our stay.

New Home Marina, 2011-05-31
Captain: , Ambridge, PA (109)

We have been visiting friends here for 3 years, and decided to move our boat this season. The marina offers well kept grounds, a great pool and bathhouse, and a friendly community, but many of the docks are showing their age. Office is open every day in season, and the staff is helpful and competent.

The marina is located in a quiet area surrounded by newer condos. K-Mart, several grocery stores, West Marine, two hardware stores, auto parts, seveal hotels, and a plethora of restaurants, fast food, and nitelife are within a few miles.

Peace and Quiet, 2009-03-26
Captain: , Kent Island, MD (37)

Peaceful marina away from the hustle-bustle of Kent Narrows, yet very close for access to restaraunts and activities. Very Large swimming Pool and hottub. Cross Island bike path allows easy bike access to narrows. New pub and Japanese restaraunt right outside gates. Friendly staff/Good people.

Nice Place to Visit, 2007-09-20
