Additional info:

The entry channel is well marked and deep but woe be to the boater who wanders out of the channel. Dredgings make the south side of channel shallow. Rocks, hidden at high tide, line the north side of the channel. Trawler was holed and high and dry on north side of channel in 2009. As signage indicates, go very slow when passing through the inner breakwater opening as pilings create a blind intersection and there is lots of traffic coming south, just inside the breakwater pilings wall.

The port intentionally keeps the price of fuel low to encourage boats to come in and use the marina and spend money in town.

Cap Sante is in the process of constructing a high capacity WiFi facility that will cover the entire marina. It should be online by September 2012.

Reviews for Cap Sante Marina
Very convenient , 2017-06-21
Captain: , Portland, OR (250)

Stayed here a week working on several boat maintenance issues. Dock folks are friendly and helpful. Marina kept clean. Close to downtown Anacortes. Easy to get parts, a ride or something to eat.

Close to everything. , 2017-05-28
Captain: , La Crosse, WI (941)

We used Cap Sante as our start point to cruise the San Juan Islands and Puget Sound (trailered from Wisconsin). They have long term storage for our truck and trailer- (but not cheap). Clean facility and helpful staff. Stores are close by.

It's All There..., 2016-08-30
Captain: , Summerlin, NV (350)

We enjoyed our stay and found everything available - whatever you want it is within a reasonable distance. Some great little restaurants, a huge grocery store, brewpubs, etc. The marina was beautiful and clean, with hiking in a nearby park. Great laundry facility (which can be busy), nice clean restrooms and shower facility, and helpful pleasant staff.

Two large grocery stores within walking distance. Great dining available in town. Excellent marine services available in the area.

Nice docks, floating platforms for group activities.

Always a great place, 2015-04-17
Captain: , Kirkland, WA (4478)

Great location, good service, everything a boater may need nearby, and good weather (sometimes). A bit pricey in the summer months.

Great Location, 2015-04-05
Captain: , Tacoma (90)

If you are planning a trip to the San Juans Cap Sante Marina is a nice spot to use as a headquarters for the summer. Lots of amenities close by including all kinds of boat repair and maintance facilities. I docked my sail boat there for 2 weeks while NW Rigging installed new standing rigging for me. There is a bus service close by that makes a few trips daily to Sea Tac airport.
Staff is generally very helpful.

Excellent public marina, 2014-09-20
Captain: , Portland, OR (279)

Spent Labor Day and the following night here in 2014. Docks are in very nice condition and utilities easy to get at. Rest rooms and showers are clean. Excellent laundry room. Cheerful staff.

downgrade of service, 2014-07-23
Captain: , Anacortes Wa (20)

This marina requires a second look , it is no longer the excellent marina it once was . A new marina manager has created an hostile atmosphere for boaters , one where bills are not to be questioned and feedback is not welcome . It even goes so far as personal conversations on the dock are monitored by staff and if any critical statements are overheard , they are reported back to the manager . Slips are doubled assigned and bills are often confused . If you want to visit Anacortes anchor in the bay and dinghy in .

Good place to start a cruise, 2014-01-06
Captain: , Algonac, MI (1926)

Was very pleased with the service of having my boat launched from the trailer. Nice, solid floating docks. Bathrooms were adequate, but nothing special. Good area to provision.

Really Nice Folks, 2013-12-25
Captain: , Channel Islands, California (1149)

We got in kinda late on a Sunday, but there was still someone available who answered the radio on the advertised channel and assigned us a slip nice and close to the harbormaster's office. An immaculate facility with all the modern conveniences; a market across the street, a hardware store across the street, and a great marine store a short walk away that makes West Marine (also just down the street) look like a toy store. This is a destination marina of the first class.

Good marina, reasonable rates in winter, 2013-11-12
Captain: , Patricia Bay, BC (42)

Enjoyed two nights at marina, good restaurants only a short walk

Great marina, 2013-08-10
Captain: , Albany (171)

Cap Sante is always our starting point for the San Juans. Staff are friendly and helpful. Concrete docks are well maintained. Boat lift and small craft hoist are reasonably priced and work great. Lots to do in the vicinity and supplies are close by.

Top quality and Top cost, 2012-11-05
Captain: , Portland, OR (77)

Cap Sante is expensive but is one of if not the best marina on the west coast. I considered leaving our 54" boat for about 30 days while we went ashore for business but quicky changed our mind when they wanted over $2,000/mo during high season. If longer term moorage is desired check with Skyline on west side of Faldigo Island.

Also Great for Fido, 2012-09-12
Captain: , Salmon Bay, Seattle (33)

There is a large, grassy, fully fenced off-leash area near the NE corner of the marina. Best dog marina yet.

Great Marina with Competitive Fuel Prices, 2012-06-20
Captain: , Seattle (385)

This is a great place to re-provision. Groceries are just across the street and all needed marine services are located here. Fuel prices are also very good. Click here for current information:

Very Nice Marina, 2011-11-03
Captain: , Chinook Landing Marina, Tacoma (315)

We have stayed here twice and had great experiences both times. Wide, clean concrete docks, good showers and the marina office loans out bicycles for getting around town. There is a Safeway across the street and a number of great places to eat. There are numerous marine services here including haul out and riggers as well as a West Marine a very short ride from the harbor. The local library has computers and printers for any internet dealings you may need to complete while ashore.

Very good Marina, 2011-09-18
Captain: , Edmonton (150)

Close to downtown with grocery shopping, restaurants and pubs within waking distance. Good facilities and clean.

Your best bet in Anacortes, 2011-08-31
Captain: , Sequim Bay (378)

If you are coming from Canada, this is a good port of entry. The customs office is right in the heart of the marina. The only time there might be a delay in getting cleared is if the Washington State Ferry arrives from Sydney. They have first priority but it very sercure safe place to wait if that should happen. Nearby shopping and restaurants make this favorite. Fuel is also reputed to be less expensive here than other places in the area. Good pump out faciilites also but in a separate area. Not good for haul outs though.

Construction, 2011-07-01
Captain: , Port Isabel TX (640)

The rebuilding of E and F docks gives us summer visitors a great place to home base until the end of September. Wooden docks will be replaced over the winter. Check it out.

Cap Sante Boat Haven, 2011-01-14
Captain: , Fort Myers, Florida, USA (584)

Full service, full price. Continuous construction means prices will climb. Fortunately they do make it easy for you to come in to attend a local event orshop a couple hours. Just call on VHF.

Great marina, 2009-09-12
Captain: , Seattle, WA (437)

Cap Sante Boat Haven is run by the Port of Anacortes (and there are two references here). We stayed on the new docks and it was really, really nice. Wide slips and fairways. Good water pressure. The old slips are OK, though we got assigned once to one that was too narrow. Corrected easily.

Short walk to many restaurants, grocery store, etc.

Good prices on fuel too in 2009.

Cap Sante Boat Haven, 2009-08-04
Captain: , Brownsville, WA (558)

First class operation by the Port of Anacortes. Boat basin is busy and requires extra vigilance for safety.

We like the facilities, the proximity to shopping and any marine supplies or repair needed. Easy access and friendly staff make this one of our regular ports of call.

Great for provisioning, 2009-05-19

Nice staff and the marina is within a short walking distance oto grocery, liquor, hardware and maring stores.

Cap Sante Boat haven, 2009-05-19
Captain: , Blakely Island, WA (372)

Great marina run by the Port of Anacortes. Excellent facility, and friendly staff. New fuel dock is just inside the breakwater on the south side. Monolift for haulouts is inbetween B and C docks.
