Yes - Ivylow keeps a good selection of ziincs. There is a Fred Meyer immediately north of the boat yard. Stoneway Hardware is excellent and located about 8 blocks west, just north of the Ballard Bridge. Tacoma Screw is equally good to the east about the same distance.

Reviews for Canal Boatyard
Fair prices - great location, 2016-01-23
Captain: , Cowichan Bay, BC (838)

We hauled here last week and were very impressed. He expects you to keep your tarp clean but they are very helpful - some tools available as well as vacuums and brooms. His prices are very fair and the location can't be beat - Stoneway Hardware and Tacoma Screw are great spots and Fisheries is a 10 minute drive away.

Had Haulout Here - nice place, 2015-09-08
Captain: , Seattle (460)

Did my inspection haulout at this yard. Proces were good, and the crew was fast and freindly.

Nice yard DIY allowed, 2014-04-21

I like that they let you do your own work. Nice staff, resonable prices.

My favorite, 2013-01-16
Captain: , Port Discovery WA (40)

I've been using Canal for almost 20 years and they've become better and better over time. Very accommodating for DIYers such as myself, decent rates and the location can't be beat (except for the despicable Ballard/Seattle traffic).

Great for DIY, 2011-06-08
Captain: , Seattle, WA (62)

Canal and co-located services (Emerald Harbor, Pacific Fiberglass) can do it all for you, but its also one of the best yards in the Seattle area left for doing it yourself. Rent a vac sander or other tools from them. If you get in over your head they can bail you out. Ivaylo the manager is very accommodating. Prices are very fair. Don't make a mess and they'll be great to work with.
