Reviews for Campbeltown Marina
Campbeltown, 2016-08-10
Captain: , North Shields (300)

Many improvements to Marina recently although can be a bit noisy with fishing boats and other traffic.
Protected on all sides at the end of Campbeltown Loch. Staff helpful in mooring our 21m loa, 2.7m draught vessel with no problems in windy conditions.
Shoreside facilities adequate although modest.
Campbeltown itself looks a bit 'dour' from seaward but it's OK if you make the effort

Campbeltown Loch, 2013-08-22
Captain: , Lac Brome, Quebec (286)

Marina is OK, although we never found 3 metres water on the approaches, running aground at 2.2. Low tide, but not extreme
Can anchor off, as we did
40 yers ago, the town was a great place, but we found it dismal, with no pubs or restaurants of any appeal. After surly sevice in one pub, and failing to find an appealing reataurent (in early September) we went back on board to eat.
