Reviews for Campbell's Bachelor Pt. Yacht Co.
OUTSTANDING boatyard, extremely well-kept marina, 2017-06-15
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (470)

(Early May 2017) We discovered this boatyard on accident, literally. While underway off the Choptank River in the Chesapeake Bay, experienced a near crippling steering casualty. Made our way to Campbells on a Sunday afternoon. While they are closed on Sunday, the off-hours phone number put us in contact with the right person. First thing Monday morning, all the right folks knew who we were and why we were at their dock (mid-cruise emergency repair). Despite being perhaps their busiest time of the year, by mid-morning the owner, Tom Sullivan, was onboard to begin troubleshooting our issue and immediately began repairs. After clearing another vessel that had arrived soon before us, also for a mid-cruise emergency repair, Doug Sullivan, lead technician, was onboard to join the team effort to correct our problem. After about 8 workhours, we were all fixed and ready to continue our cruise. Great work by a great team at Campbells. And oh by the way, this is the cleanest, best looking boatyard, marina I have ever seen. If I ever needed work done again and was in the Oxford area, no questions where I would go, Campbells Boatyard. Truly outstanding folks and technicians. We were so impress with all we experienced that we stayed an extra day to enjoy the beautiful town of Oxford, a wonderful stop in itself.

Excellent marina, 2014-12-31
Captain: , Solomons MD (30)

My boat was repowered here. Great staff and workmanship. Very nice marina, I liked it so much I came back and intend to go back next season

Great Quick Work, 2014-10-08
Captain: , Solomons, MD (1025)

The marina is average, but the Yard is great! Our dinghy died and we needed help quickly. We checked in at the marina and explained our problem. Shortly afterwards, Donny showed up, diagnosed the problem (dirty carburator, of course), cleaned it up and had us ready to go -- all for the cost of one hour labor. I would rate their work excellent and very willing to work with you on when you need the work done!

Quiet Weekend, 2014-07-14
Captain: , Deale, MD (347)

You're on your own for the weekend. No staff, so find your slip assignment and tie up. Facilities are adequate. Bikes are available for getting to town. Everything in Oxford is within a mile of Bachelor's Point. We arrived in some unstable weather, so the pool was closed. Not an issue for this trip. Two good restaurants within easy walk or bike of the marina (Latitude 38 and Pope's Tavern). Very quiet and well protected marina. It is not a "resort" marina, but works well to access Oxford. I will use it again.

Visit for the weekend July 12, 2014. Quiet marina. Remains a good bet for visiting Oxford.

deep water and fast access to the Chop Tank, 2012-10-12
Captain: , Oxford, MD (235)

Great docking for the summer and a llittle exposed in the winter and really bad stroms.

Boatyard rates 5 stars, 2012-06-22
Captain: , Dataw Island, SC (290)

Was here for 1 week with a bow thruster and transmission problem. Marina is a nice well protected facility - Their strength is the service their boatyard (cleanest one you'll ever see) provides with every kind of boat reparir. Enterprise convenient to use seeing surrounding area.

A delightful stay, 2009-07-03
Captain: , Yorktown, VA (79)

Bachelor Point is a great find. The marina is a little bit further out of town than many of the other marinas in Oxford, and appears to cater primarily to its boatworks business and permanent slipholders (which is a good thing). The marina office is closed on weekends and holidays, but with advance reservations, they made us feel at home. Pool, ice, bikes and wi-fi are available weekends. The docks are fixed, and seem well-protected behind breakwaters and in a cove.
