Reviews for Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor
Great transient stop, 2016-08-24
Captain: , Annapolis (264)

Stopped here on the way dowm the ICW en route to the Bahamas. The slips were really well protected and had no issues with wake during the night. The facilities were clean and they had a cool lounge with some good books. I'd stop here again if i'm in the area!

Fuel Everywhere, 2016-07-24
Captain: , Stuart FL (478)

Helpful, knowledgeable and courteous staff. Well kept piers within a lovely condo community. It could be a hike to get to the office, etc. depending on where you tie up. But there seemed to be a fuel pump or three on every pier. If you want to fuel up, it's super easy. And, you get a BoatUS discount. Tasty seafood, reasonable price at Kingfisher on site. We'll be back.

Great stop and "new" courtesy cars!, 2016-07-08
Captain: , Rockport, ON, Canada (265)

Second time overnighting here. Great staff, well protected harbour. Highly recommended. Everything you need is nearby via Toyota Highlander courtesy cars.

Great Stop - great town, 2016-05-30
Captain: , Ft Lauderdale (131)

Really nice friendly staff and overall very nice marina. loaner cars to get into town. Restaurant on site and many choices in town 5 minutes away. Easy access to inlet..strong current in the entrance channel but none inside the basin.

wow great place, 2016-05-26
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, Fl (280)

SAFE RETURNS 65ft Fairline.
Stopped in for a day and spent a week. Great service. 2 loaner cars. We used to go to downtown st Augustine. Great restaurant on premise. They know boaters. The staff really went out of the way for us. We were far from office but the drove and picked us up in a golf cart!!! I needed some service on the boat...there is a group of service people called First Mate. Didn't over charge and did it right the first time. All I can say about this place is wow

Excellant in every way, 2016-05-19
Captain: , Useppa Island, Fl (61)

Terrific experience; attentive staff, all amenities modern and clean; left boat for a week for repairs while I went north. First Mate did a first rate job; helpful, pleasant, took initiative to order needed parts and get them there overnight; completed a repair on my genset on short notice that the other yard had failed to complete (Camachee Yacht Services - stay away from them: rude, unhelpful, didn't order needed parts on time, left my work until the day I returned and then said they were too busy to complete it). If you need your boat washed ask for Jillian - very thorough and very reasonable price.

Great Place!, 2016-05-05
Captain: , Westport CT (170)

Left our boat there for a week while heading back north for some work commitments. Very helpful dock staff and well protected basin with all docks/facitlites top nothch. Called two days after heading back to see if we coudl get a bad bilge pump replaced while away....they had the First Mate service folks based there get it done same afternoon. Could not have been better.

Camachee Cove is a first class operation!, 2016-04-25
Captain: , Jacksonville, FL (180)

Generally we anchor in Salt Run but have heard many positive things about Camachee Cove Marina so decided to change our habit this time and make reservations there. We spent 2 wonderful nights with them. The staff is ever so friendly%u2014reminds me of the Publix employees. : -)They all are smiling always and take their time in helping their customers w/o ever appearing rushed. The marina has a loaner car%u2014a rare find these days. It is clean as a whistle, air and windows work, and no yucky odor inside. We can%u2019t rave enough about CCM and highly recommend it. It is a top-notch facility. The proximity to St. Augustine is an easy walk, however we took our bikes into town. Publix is just across the bridge%u20140.9 mi. Another quick walk with a dividing wall between pedestrian walkway and traffic so it%u2019s very safe as is the route into town.

The reviews are accurate, 2016-04-16
Captain: , Delray Beach, FL (20)

The marina people were as friendly as we ever met. Facilities were clean and easily accessible. We were fortunate to get "D" dock which was almost in front of the facilities. ValveTect fuel was also available. Kingfish restaurant was great. If you like to walk, The City is walkable because 3 of us walked to the Municiple Marina and back, a little over 5 mile round trip. The Castilo de San Marco is must visit 300 yr old Fort to see. We'll be back.

Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor Marina, 2016-04-15
Captain: , Sandwich (692)

A wonderful protected marina with attentive friendly dock attendants. Bath and laundry facilities clean. Improved WiFi! Great walking community down Lands End Rd and around condo complex. A safe walk over the bridge to Publix and the Atlantic Ocean beaches. A safe 2-mile walk into center of St. Augustine. The pool was open, cool but refreshing. Kingfisher Grille on site great food.

Management response:
Good Afternoon and thank you for your review. Thanks for the shout out on how close things are too like Publix and our historic downtown. We are happy to hear comments on our improved WiFi as well. Safe travels for now and we look forward to seeing you again.

First Class Experience, 2016-04-13
Captain: , Alexandria VA (21)

"Ditto" to all the good things said in previous reviews. From the management team in the dockmaster's office who expertly & highly composed directed a very busy harbor to the experienced & pleasant dock hands who got us into our slip without a single issue we had a very positive experience at CCYH. The dockhand who kindly help us untie the following morning coiled each line before he gently handed them to my 1st mate. Now that's CLASS! See you the next time around! Seafood at Kingfish Grill was fresh & delicious!

Management response:
Good Morning! We appreciate you taking the time to write this review, thank you. We are happy you enjoyed your time with us and look forward to your next visit. The dockhand that assisted you was Mike Reed. I will pass along your kind words. Safe travels.

Camachee Cove Team

Excellent Stay!, 2016-04-11
Captain: , Cape Coral (40)

This place is great! The dock help is excellent and they were there every step of the way from finding our dockage to help tending lines. Facilities are beautiful as we stayed for a month and will be coming back. Large boats coming and going all the time so they know how to handle everything. A ten minute ride to downtown St. Augustine but far enough away to stay away from the tourists. Marina is well protected as we researched between here and the Municipal Marina, hands down the best place to stay around St.Augustine. The people at the Marina are very friendly.
Pump outs are at the fuel dock so you have to bring your boat over if you need a pump out, but they are ready when you radio them to have a dock hand at the ready.

Management response:
Good morning and thank you for such a great review! We are happy you enjoyed your times with us. Safe travels and we look froward to your next visit.

What a pleasure to be treated so very special

Management response:
Good Morning and thank you for your kind review. We enjoy hearing from our guests and more so enjoy passing this on to our crew. Safe travels and we look forward to your next visit.

Superb Marina, 2016-03-27
Captain: , Bar Harbor (90)

Excellent protection and a professional and courteous staff. It has floating finger piers and restaurants on site. Highly recommended

Management response:
Thank you for your comments. We are happy to have you with us here at Camachee Cove.

Bravo Zulu!, 2016-03-02
Captain: , Hilton Head Island (55)

After a nine hour offshort rum from South Carolina, Commachee Cove was an ideal overnight spot. First rate, freindly team at the marina and first class facilities - restrooms, laundty, boaters' lounge with big scree TV, lounge chairs and hot coffee. Floating docks are in excellent shape and fuel lines fun the ful lrangs of the slips - so no extra fuel stop needed. Loaner car available.

Very easy entrance and well protected marina. And the St Augustine Inlet was straight forward.

Management response:
Thank you for your kind review. We are very happy you enjoyed your stay and hope your continued travels were safe. We look forward to seeing you again Mr. Brubaker.

First Rate Marina, 2016-02-10
Captain: , Bear, DE (390)

We came to Camachee Cove on the advice of friends who wintered there in the past and to get work done on our boat while we went home for the holidays.

Bo and his team at First Mate Yacht Services did excellent work in a timely manner. Parts and labor charges were very reasonable. If it were possible, I would have all my boat repairs done at First Mate.

The marina itself was a good choice for leaving our boat for a month. The marina has a well-protected basin, nice floating docks, helpful and friendly staff. Dock personnel are particularly well trained. Security personnel were on duty after dark. Amenities include boater%u2019s lounge with TV, computer, coffee, microwave oven, washers and dryers. WIFI was good. The restrooms and showers were always clean and well above the average in appearance and maintenance. Two courtesy make re-provisioning easy. A Publix is just across the bridge. West Marine is a short drive down US1.

On site businesses are a big plus. First Mate has a well-stocked chandlery. Cooper%u2019s Canvas replaced a zipper in our sail cover in a matter of hours at reasonable cost. Camachee Yacht Yard has a travel lift and can do almost any boat work. Fast food and quality dining are also on site. Kingfish Grill is a TripAdvisor 4 star casual grill noted for its fresh fish and great prices at Happy Hour.

We see now why this is such a well rated marina. Just exercise caution as there is a strong current when entering the marina. The entrance is well marked but stay inside the marks or you%u2019ll run aground. There is little, if any, current once inside the marina channel.

Management response:
We are happy you enjoyed your time with us. Thank you for all the kind comments. We hope to see you again. Safe travels.

ethanol free gas, 2016-01-19
Captain: , Rock Hall, MD (80)

Camachee Cove has ethanol free gas for the dink outboard ( and other boats). What a great concept. Should be available up and down the whole coast!

Management response:
Thanks for your comment Happy we had what you needed.

Engine Repair work, 2015-12-16
Captain: , Cape Charles, VA (10)

We were headed south about 17 miles north on the ICW when my starboard engine started missing so bad we shut it down in fear of additional damage. With an older pair of 3208 cats, you just don't find a good knowledgable mechanice, so we had some serious doubts as to the turn of events that were getting ready to unfold.. Since Camachee was close, we phoned into the Yacht Yard and aksed for the manager, Keith, she said he was out to lunch and would call back. 30 minutes later Keith called; bring it in, I have just the guy to take a look. As soon as we arrive, Drew our mech was on the boat and had the problem diagnoised in no time. Come to find out Drew cut his teeth on 3208's. The next day the boat was moved next door to the work area and they begain taking the engine apart. Drew, was all over it; we had a blown head gasket and two damaged pistions, the engine was torn down, both heads and two pistions replace. They work on it from the time we got there straight thru until it was completed. I was amazed.. I can not say enough about Peter and his expert team of professionals. They did an amazing job. Kuduo's to whole Camachee Team. We were blessed to find them... I highly recommend them.

Management response:
Good Afternoon and thank you for your review. I will make sure Peter and his crew from the yard see this and pass along the great comments to his crew. Safe travels - The Marina Crew

As good as it gets!, 2015-12-06
Captain: , Green Cove Springs (133)

We came into the marina to have engine work done by "Bo" at 1st Mate Marine and ended up having both engines replaced. The work is great, the marina really has great employees, good showers, good fairly priced laundry and loaner cars. We don't usually stay in a marina very much but we will come back. Oh yes, don't miss the sushi at the Kingfish Grill.

Management response:
Thank you for your kind comments. We enjoyed having you here and look forward to your next visit. Safe travels - The Marina Crew

great operation!, 2015-11-20
Captain: , annapolis, MD (120)

Marina staff were very helpful. Loaner car is a plus and allowed us to get to downtown St. Augustine, a must see. Big place, marina clean and well kept. wifi was weak. restroms and showers above average on teh ICW

Management response:
Thank you for your review and comments. Safe travels and we look forward to seeing you again.

Camachee Cove Marina, 2015-11-10
Captain: , Stuart Fl (300)

October 30,2015

Arrived in the AM after anovernight run from Charleston. We needed fuel. So wewere directedto the south fuel docksince the main fuel dockwasfull of boats that hadbeen moved therefrom A dock. The staffdirecting wanted us to spin and tieup starboardside to. We have no thrusterand there is acurrentin there even though they claim there s not. We inally said no and went in foraportsidetie. New dockstaff had noidea howto tie lines. Electrician on dockhelped but did notknow anythig either. Afterfueling theydirected us to our slip way on the other side. Weasked the dock staff to stand on the end of thefinger anddidnotleavethe fuedockuntil she was visible. She found a dinghy in the slipwe wereassigend. Theydid notknow whoit belongedto orhow to get it out of there. We said wouldnotgo in that slip. Finally after another 30 minutes they said wecoulddock on Adock in frontof the restaurant.Newdock staff had never plugged in a power cord. Theywere very unpreparedthis trip. Again- newmanagement.

May 2 2015

Arrived early morning after overnight run from Stuart Fl. Office and dock staff courteous and friendly. Took on fuel and pump out and then moved to our slip on M dock. This was our tenth stop at this marina but the firsttime on M dock. It was a long walk to the office but very nice. As always service was excellent.

October 27, 2014

Arrived after overnight run from Charleston. Dock staff helpful and friendly. Took on fuel at highest price of trip but got Boat US discount. Sorry to hear that Sean McDonough left. Good stop as usual. Great restaurants for breakfast and dinner.

May 2, 2014

Arrived after an overnight run from Stuart Fl. Dock staff met us on the dock in the rain and got us safely secured with power and water. We checked in and were greeted by Sean with enthusiasm. We went to Fish Tales for breakfast - very good as always. When there was a break in the rain we fueled up right in the slip. Very convenient. We tried the new pizza/italian restaurant for dinner. Itwas very very good - large portions and reasonable price. This is our ninth visit here and we will be back in the fall. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and know us and our boat when we call for a reservation.

October 27, 2013

Arrived after an overnigiht run outside from Charleston. Fueled and pumped out and then went to our slip. Dock staff efficient and friendly. Office staff also very friendly and helpful. Nice welcome package - tote bag, on the rocks glass, maps, etc. A nice quiet place to stay. This was our ninth visit and we will be back again. Easy access to the inlet and the ICW whichever route you are taking.

May 3, 2013 Arrived aftera long run on the ICW in very strong winds - saw 53 knots around Matanzas Inlet. Wind when docking was at least 30 knots. The dockstaff put us on a T head where the winds pushed us right in faster than we wished. We stayed two nights because the next day we were pinned to the dock by the strong wind. We took one of the courtsey cars to the lighthouse and climbed the 219 steps to the top. From there you could see the ocean boiling at the inlet. This is always a great place to stop. The dockstaff and office staff are friendly and efficient. This was our 9th stop. We will be back again.

November 2012 - Arrived after a rough overnight passage from Charleston. We went immediately to the fuel dock and pumpout where the dock staff was very efficient and friendly. Moved to our slip on the facedock near the Kingfish Grill. The dockstaff let us take thegold cart back to the office to check in while he walked back. The welcome packet always includes a "on the rocks" glass and a tote bag. A nice placeto stay.

May 2012 - As also very friendly and helpful. At low tide in the afternoon, a sailboat ran aground in the entrance channel. The next morning there was a barge dredging the area. We left about an hour earlier than planned to get away from the barge and the low tide. It was interesting.

Very nice friendly facility. No current in the basin but the wind can be nasty. Staff friendly and helpful and in from 7AM-6PM. Good restaurants on site for breakfast and dinner. Welcome packet includes coupons, maps and lots of information on attractions. Courtesy car availbale.

Definitely worth the stop, 2015-11-06
Captain: , Rowayton, CT (199)

My wife loved this marina - she was able to use the wifi to work, the showers and laundry facilities are great and we had a decent meal at the restaurant.

Still the go to place in St Augustine, 2015-11-02
Captain: , Stuart, Florida (539)

Stayed 3 days this past week and facilities and service are still great. The folks working the line and office were attentive and prompt.
I did note however that the WIFI was unusable the three days I was there despite being 30' from their antenna. When I queried them on the issue, something was said about a security camera system interfering with the WIFI. It never worked and folks adjacent to me had the same issue.
Camachee Cove has always been a good stop as they have a loaner car to get groceries, parts, etc. They are now letting people reserve a time slot when you make a reservation to use the vehicle. Alas with one car out of service and the other car "reserved", a quick trip to the market was N/A unless you called a cab.
CC still a good spot to RON, but this trip was only a 4-star rating.

Great Marina, 2015-09-21
Captain: , Beach Haven, NJ (20)

Very accomodating, left my boat there for about 6 weeks. Very good restauant with good bartenders and food.

Great Stay!, 2015-08-21
Captain: , Ft Lauderdale, FL (95)

My son and I spent almost a month here and definitely want to say thanks to a great, very helpful staff running an excellent marina!
They offer a nice lounge with TV, computer, coffee, etc and clean restrooms and showers. The Kingfish Gril is an excellent dinner choice too.
Thank you Lisa and Ryan!

Management response:
Thank you Mr. Peterson for your review. We look forward to having you stay with us again. We hope your son is well settled in his new place and has a great school year. Marina Crew

Great service, top knotch facilities, 2015-08-05
Captain: , Austin, Texas (140)

Spent a week here in late July, and we'll definitely stay here again the next time we're in St. Augustine. Helpful, friendly staff - great with docklines local info. Great facilities, showers, laundry and lounge clean and in good shape. Using the 2 loaner vehicles made everything "off campus" easy.

Excellent facilities, 2015-06-27
Captain: , Onset, MA (90)

Prefer this place to the municipal marina-- much quieter, more private, they have a pool, lounge, great bathrooms, restaurant on site, very helpful staff. Downside is you cannot walk to town but they have a loaner car. Municipal marina is right next to town, easy walk to everything if that is what you are looking for, but because of that very public access (to boats.)

Good place to stop, 2015-05-28
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (1134)

Same great marina and helpful staff.

Well marked, easy in/out channel. Helpful dock staff. Onsite restaurant will send a golf cart to pick you up.

This part of Florida has very high fuel prices relative to Brunswick, GA and marinas below Canaveral. Check Active Captain fuel pricing reports.

BEST MARINA, 2015-04-06
Captain: , North East, Maryland (10)

Service doesn't get any better than this marina. After more than 20 years of traveling the ICW the staff at this Marina is our #1 place to stop

Nice Place for St. Augistine, 2015-02-28
Captain: , Delegal Marina (121)

We stopped here on the way south over Christmas and again on the way north. Easy in and out - though bumped on the way in at dead low tide (4.4 draft). Helpful staff who worked on makig sure that we could stay as our plans changed with the weather. Two cars and a good Publix over the bridge. Three sets of heads, laundry and lounges so you don't have to walk around the basin. Very clean heads and new laundry.

terrific marina, 2015-01-28
Captain: , Urbanna, VA (20)

Terrific staff, well sheltered marina, located along with complete service facilities equals a terrific marina.

Great stop and a keeper, 2015-01-18
Captain: , Huntsville, AL (335)

Stayed here two nights, great marina, wonderful staff, easy walk to Kingfish reastaurant with really good food and reasonable prices. Also walked to town and the Fort and went to dinenr at The Floridian, which was good. We'll be back and spend more time here.

Comachee Cove, 2015-01-13
Captain: , Alex Bay, NY (431)

Great service and well kept marina. Stayed for a night but certainly would return again for several nights if not more. Short walk to down town restaurants and services.

Great all-in-one stop, 2015-01-09
Captain: , Pungoteague, VA (227)

Well-protected basin, nice floating docks, helpful and friendly staff. Free courtesy cars, free courtesy bikes. Many businesses right on the basin, including canvas guy and chandlery. Two restaurants.

Publix is just accross the bridge, Walmart and West Marine within 10 minutes by courtesy car.

Bonus: Fish Tales has a very nice craft beer selection.

a good stop, 2014-12-15
Captain: , New Smyrna Beach, FL (143)

We stayed 1 night heading south in late October 2014. Staff was great, marina well maintained and safe. We ate on board, but the main restaurant was open. The others that might be referenced, Italian and seafood, in the strip center have gone the way of the boulevard of broken dreams. I'd stop there again.

A regular stop, 2014-12-13
Captain: , Bristol, RI (766)

While the marina is great (as described), Bo of First Mate Yacht Services is one of the best Yanmar mechanics I've ever found. I always feel better heading for a winter in the Bahamas after Bo's checked the engine.

Excellent full service Marina, 2014-11-24
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

Good power 240 volt, two courtesy vehicles, good wifi.
Tight entry may have to crab the boat if current running strong until just inside the breakwater, then be prepared to straighten out the boat as current stops abruptly. Marina is tight but nice. The staff will assist you in with obvious experience. Mike is excellent! First Mate Yacht Services "Bo" is a top notch on site diesel mechanic. Dockage is 50% off while boat is being worked on.

peace and quiet, 2014-10-29
Captain: , gainesville (80)

quiet and comfortable minimum wake no morning rush hour top notch facilities, docking crew was not available but was not needed as marina is protectedon all sides from wind and waves ,

Great marina PLUS, 2014-10-21
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (366)

We came here to get some work done on our generator (Camachee Yacht Yard) and had a great stay.
The facilities are nice, the directions and line handling to our slip were great. I definitely would come back.

First Class Marina.c All parts are very nice. Fuel prices are a little above average. Docks are great

Clean, friendly staff., 2014-09-03
Captain: , Jacksonville Fl (1459)

Nice calm harbor can have a swift cross current right at entrance. The staff was very friendly, good courtesy car, nice clean facility. Will be back again.

Beautiful facility but long walk around, in a horseshoe shape and transients put at the end, 2014-07-14
Captain: , Bethlehem, PA (696)

Beautiful area with a nice pool and Kingfisher restaurant (great food) but it was so far to walk that we actually dinghied over to the pool from our boat slip. It was very hot when we were there adding to the misery of the long walk, but it was a very nice place. And the fuel dock and pump out were easy.

THE BEST MARINA, 2014-07-02
Captain: , San Diego (300)

Friendly staff, floating docks, free goodie bag at checkin, free use of a clean Lexus car. One of the girls on stall was a public notary and signed my docs for free!! 1.95 a foot for my 36 foot trawler, diesel 4.15 a gallon. Doesnt get any better than this

A fun place to stay, 2014-06-22
Captain: , Ft. Collins, CO (249)

We were here june 20 2014. Paid /41.25 a foot plus $12.00 electric. Peter, the dock master was great and he said that they simply love MTOA members. Nice pool, reasoinable restaurant on site and clean facilities. I would stay again.

great marina, 2014-05-30
Captain: , Boca Raton, FL (935)

This was the first time I've been here. We got in late in the day and they docked us at the fuel dock. Great staff. The restaurant was disappointing to us. Would not go back there. I would definitely go back to the marina.

Great Service, 2014-05-26
Captain: , Mayport Florida (292)

Great facility with superior service. Clean showers, heads, and laundry facilities. Knowledgeable and friendly dockhands were waiting at our assigned slip, ready to receive lines. Welcome gift bag with custom sundowner glass was a nice touch. Use of the onsight pool was fantastic during a hot Memorial Day weekend. The Kingfish Grill restaurant, despite being a bit pricey, served amazing seafood in a relaxed atmosphere with nice live entertainment. Well worth the money! Morning breakfast at Fish Tales Market is highly recommended. Highly suggest the Captain's breakfast off the menu. Only downside to our stay was that despite our transient dock being near the marina inlet, we could not get underway at dead lowtide. Our 6 foot draft had us firmly planted on the bottom.

Nice Marina with excellent staff, 2014-05-15
Captain: , annapolis (453)

Stopped 5/7/14 (fourth visit) as usual received excellent assistant.
First called via cell and spoke with Carolyn, made reservations etc.
Arriving via VHF 16 spoke with Dockmaster Travis. Travis arrived at the face dock got me secured. Camachee Cove is a large basin, consequently walking from A dock to the office is 15 - 20 minutes -- to long for someone with arthritis in the knees.
Travis said, no problem get settled and I'll return with the skiff.
Subsequently, Travis provided round trip ride to the office.
It is a nice marina and when you are tired of SC and GA's current, docking at Camachee Cove is a nice change.
Very nice AC showers and laundry.
Kingfish Grill great food and nice harbor view.
Because of the friendly, helpful service provided by Carolyn and Travis I look forwarding to returning.

Spectacular and expert service from the yard, well maintained and managed marina., 2014-04-21
Captain: , Wiscasset, Maine (280)

This was our second stop here, had work done each time by their technician Drew. Pete Sabo manages the yard in a friendly, efficient manner. The yard and crew are professional and clearly care about their work. Outside contractors that were recommended also were prompt and did outstanding work. Wifi, cable, water and power were excellent. There is a good neighbourhood for dog walking and the new Publix is right across the bridge. We had no difficulty arranging for their loaner vehicles. We thoroughly enjoyed our second 'pit stop' and will make it our regular destination when we cruise through Florida again.

Great place for repairs, 2014-04-15
Captain: , Lewis Creek, Md (1214)

The marina is nice. There is a pool, resteraunt, courtsey cars, and bicycles together with a nice laundry and bathrooms. The people are helpful. My only issue is with the internet, but they are fixing it. The best part is access to great repair facilities. I used FIRST MATE, but the other group is reported to be excellant also. HYou can bicycle into St Augustine (1.6 miles). It is flat and sidewalks.

Great Marina!, 2014-04-14
Captain: , Castine, Maine (2964)

We ended up staying a few days to let a front pass and were happy we had to time to check them out. The facilities are top notch and the staff is one of the friendliest and most professional we have found. It's a quiet, lovely protected basin with a restaurant and bar you can walk to. There was plenty of walking about places for our canine crew. If you want to take in more of St Augustine, need to reprovision, or want try one of many restaurants in the area, you can sign out one of the two courtesy cars.

And if you're in need of a repair or maintenance work your receive half off your dockage rate while First Mate Services works on your boat. They have everything you need.

Great place to refuel, pump out, do laundry, and get groceries., 2014-04-07
Captain: , Gloucester, Virginia (100)

Staff were friendly and helpful. Courtesy cars allowed us to go into town for dinner--Columbia's, great Cuban/Spainish restaurant--and to get groceries at Publix. Laundry facilities were good but expensive--$2.00 per load to wash and dry. Dryers did not require more time. Only downside was the complicated set up of WiFi. We never were able to connect.

Friendly and Courteous Staff, 2014-03-20
Captain: , Oriental, N.C. (352)

Roomy, private, and clean shower/bath rooms. Attentive staff both in main office and service yard. Courtesy car a real plus.

Just stopped in for a little fuel, 2014-03-07
Captain: , Colorado (411)

As the title says, I just swung in to top off the tanks. As a previous review mentioned, you need to be mindful of the current at the entrance.

Fuel was reasonable for the area and SeaTow members (just like BoatUS) get a discount on fuel and that always helps. Attendant at the dock was friendly and helpful.

A Really Good Stop, 2014-01-28
Captain: , Mayport, FL, USA (317)

Can't find anything to complain about; can only ratify all the good comments posted by others. Very good facilities, very good staff, very welcoming place. Well worth a stop.

Best of Class, 2013-12-22
Captain: , Savannah, GA (160)

Allow for crabbing with the current on the entrance channel and look for the range marker on the fuel dock for an easy entrance. Friendliest staff and most helpful, got us in even though packed. Great facility with all the boater needs. Take the dingy across the ICW to the floating Vilano Beach Town Center Dock and tie up free for 4 hours - an easy walk to compact but complete Publix. 1/2 price daily dockage if getting work done by First Mate Yacht Service (also excellent)

Great stop, 2013-12-11
Captain: , Rockland, MA (10)

A beautiful marina - well protected- no current once inside the marks. Knowledgable, effecient and service oriented staff. Karen in the office gave the clearest and best docking instructions we've had in months! Sean (the president of CCYH) drove us across the bridge to the new Publix for milk because the Marina store closed early. He also gave us lots of tips on local sights and activities. Although this marina is not in the middle of St Augustine action....getting there is no problem. There are courtesy cars and the tourist trolley will pick you up. A new Publix grocery store is just on the other side of the A1A Vilano Beach bridge and an easy 1/2 mile walk.

Great marina and very helpful/knowledgeable staff, 2013-11-17
Captain: , Hamilton (288)

Stayed here from Jan - May 2013. Great marina with very helpful staff. Good location with access to shops in Vilano Beach and not too far from downtown St Aug.

Facilities are clean and well mantained.
First Mate Yacht Services did great work on our boat - located in the marina facility.

Only thing to watch for is strong current in river outside yacht basin goes to zero immediately inside basin which makes entry/exit more challenging.

Fabulous place!, 2013-11-03
Captain: , Charleston, SC (40)

Helpful staff, super clean showers, no current in basin, friendly people. Loaner car a plus! Great little gift bag with nice gift. Would definitely stay here again!

Awesome place, 2013-11-01
Captain: , houston, tx (393)

I've stayed here twice. Once on the way north for just a couple of days and for a week and a half this time. I pulled for a bottom job at the yard and had a very positive experience. The yard crew knows their craft and takes pride. They may be a fraction more expensive than other yards, but I beleive thay are worth it. Timely, communicative, and high quality. They let us stay on the boat on the hard.
We stayed at the marina for a week after the yard. The docks are nice floating concrete. The boaters lounge is nice with a well stocked lending / exchange library. Restroom and shower facilities are convenient. Oil disposal convenient to the docks.
Its an easy walk or ride across the bridge to Vilano beach for morning walks or beach time.
Easy access to St Augustine's attractions from here also. We didn't need the loaner car, but its available.
The fuel dock and head pumpout has easy access. The marina staff is truly service oriented. Always offers to help with docking and delivery of ice, etc. The office staff really makes you feel welcomed and works to get you in a comfortable slip. Smiles and great attitude!
Nice restaraunt on site and a very well stocked ship's store that has most any normal maintenance item.
You can tell, I really like this place!

First Mate Yacht Services, 2013-07-02
Captain: , Nashville, TN (190)

First Mate Yacht Services in Camanchee Cove is a fantastic group of folks. Bo and Trish run a great little business there and have helped me out two times in the last year. Once on my way down to Lauderdale and then this year on my way up. I've broken down in St. Augustine twice and I guess the good thing about that is I get to see these folks. If you have an issue, call Bo. He'll get you fixed up and Trish is a research guru.

Nice Marina-Shallow Water, 2013-06-11
Captain: , Amelia Island, FL (115)

Camachee Cove Yacht Harbour is a nice marina and the staff is friendly and helpful. They advertise six feet of water at low tide, but I found 4.7 feet in the entrance channel at low tide and 4.7 feet in the dock area. Apparently the slips have silted in with less than 5 feet to be found at low tide. The bottom is silt and I was able to plow my way into my assinged slip with my 5 foot wing keel. I only recommend this marina if you draw less than 4 feet or arrive and depart at mid or higher tide. They do have courtesy vans to take you into downtown St. Augustine which is 2 miles away. There is a restaurant on side. The showers and laundry are clean and air conditioned.

First Class operation, 2013-06-05
Captain: , Hilton Head Island, SC (377)

Since I came in the inlet from the Atlantic and intended to depart through it again the next morning, I decided to check out Comachee Cove rather than deal with the Bridge of Lions in order to reach the city marina. I'm very glad I did and would definitely stop here again.

I called the day before to request a port side tie on a T-head because I was single-handing my boat, and the helm is on the port side. The person with whom I spoke said she would try to accommodate me but couldn't make any promises. Sure enough, they had a good spot for me when I called in-range the following day. I had no problem with their channel (my s/v draws almost 6 feet), and there was a dock-hand waiting for me to grab my lines and secure them to the floating dock.

A complimentary goody bag containing a Commachee Cove drinking glass, local maps and guides and a free beer or wine coupon for the neighboring Kingfish Grill was given to me in the office when I signed in. I was told their free, loaner cars were both out for the evening, but I was offerred a bike to use if I wanted it. The showers, rest rooms and lounge were clean and well-equipped.

There was a 15 kt wind blowing out of the east the entire night, but the marina is so well sheltered that the boat barely moved the entire evening, and, did I mention, the price is very reasonable. Give this marina a try.

Easily 5 star, 2013-05-18
Captain: , Columbia, Missouri (415)

Came in to make repairs and what a great place. Accomadating folks who let us use the courtesy car to run down parts. Facilities top notch and will come again.

Great marina, 2013-05-01
Captain: , Punta Gorda, Fl (880)

We have stayed here several times the past few years and always find the quality to remain. The docks are floating and well maintained. Showers and laundry clean and plentiful. A gift bag is given at checkin-canvas bag, CC glass, and literature about the area. They have 2 loaner cars that are great to get grocery, dinner, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. The sightseeing trolley will pick you up here, so no need to worry about being closer to the city. Pool and nice waterside restaurant (lunch and dinner). Also yacht maintainence and First Mate ship store, besides a del. There is an inn for extra guests. St. Augustine is a great city for history, restaurants, shopping--don't miss this stop!!

Fantastic Layover, 2013-03-17
Captain: , lighthouse point (289)

Thumbs up for the management of this marina, tight layout but outstanding service. Transient marina car big plus. great location for northbound traffic.

Excellent Marina swift water current at entrance, 2013-03-02
Captain: , Clear Lake, TX (694)

We came in for a night and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent facilities. Two dockhands met us to help dock. A word of caution, though, at the entrance. When we came in at midpoint to high tide there was a strong current running North across the entrance channel. Our 50,000# boat was pushed sideways but it was controlled and the current stopped in a short distance. While the current was pusing us we noted the entrance went between 2 large (70 Ft) Mega Yachts. That added to the excitement but the fast water flow subsided before we had to go between the yachts.

Stayed overnight back in 2003, 2013-02-20
Captain: , Jacksonville Florida (417)

And this place is absolutely top notch. Quiet, no current, very nice floating docks. The people running the place let us take the marina-beater to town, which was really great because we went to the Columbia resturant. There's a small ship's store close by that has a lot of good stuff.

2013 Jan 27 One night stay, 2013-02-04

Great marina. Friendly staff. Near marina are repair businesses. I needed a diver and one was easily arranged the morning after arriving late at night. I'll come back. five stars.

"First Mate" Mechanics are Ace!, 2013-01-09
Captain: , Sydney (313)

In November I was looking for a mechanic to do some overdue maintenance work on my Yanmar and found on Active Captain good reviews for First Mate Yacht Services operating in tandem with a 50% discount of marina fees at Comachee Cove Marina.
The work took much longer and was more extensive than I thought but the dynamic relationship between the two businesses mean I paid 50% of the monthly rate and had the two best Yanmar mechanics I have ever used... and their price was excellent. I highly recommend Bo and Mike at First Mate Yacht Services for any size job. This must be the most affordable and best service on the ICW!

Plenty of water on entry, well marked., 2012-12-29
Captain: , Roseville, MN (362)

Arrived on Dec 19th at mid to rising tide. No problem with water. As they closed at noon on Christmas Eve, the harbormaster arranged for a live-aboard to grab our lines. they gave a slip assignment at that ime.
im answered his cell phone immediately and waved us to the correct dock and we had a very smooth landing. Really appreciate the marina layout on their website which was accessible on my iPhone so could give the captain good directions in. It has been a good 5 days here. The courtesy cars are wonderful.

Nice place to stay overnight, 2012-12-27
Captain: , Scottsdale (320)

Great staff - Caroline was a great help at the office and explained all of our options. The marina was full, but quiet and well protected. A little narrow and shallow coming in as the depth alarm went off but didn't scrape bottom.

The Kingfish Grill was OK but not great. Laundry and shower facility was clean and in good condition. Wi-Fi was free with a strong signal but if you are going to connect with more than one device, ask for an extra access card.

Quite pleased, 2012-11-19
Captain: , Ocean Springs MS (1032)

The service excellent, prices fair. Everything clean. Good restaurant nearby (Kingfish). The only caveat: try to enter on lower current as the current is perpendicular to the entrance and is quite strong

Came in for service by First Mate!, 2012-09-18
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (2486)

We were towed in due to a massive oil leak and within 30 minutes, mechanic, Bo, had found the oil pressure switch had failed. They had the part in stock and replaced within another 20 minutes. Great service and very reasonable.

The marina was also nice and accomodating (50% discount off dockage if you were here for service by First Mate), but we did not get to avail oursleves of their amenties due to the service and the all-day rain.

Will Return!!, 2012-06-21
Captain: , Isle of Palms, SC (219)

Stayed at Camachee Cove Harbor Marina at MM 775.5 on 6-20-12. Very nice and the dock master and hand were right on the spot to help us tie up. Fuel 3.99- valvetech- with 5c/gal with Boat US. 1.76/ft with Boat US and 14 for 50amp. Very easy entrance. Ate at the Kingfish Grill on other side of the marina and it was great. I had the Sampler appetizer and bowl of new England chowder. Fantastic. Other had fish and chips and had to put some in a box. Great service and nice atmosphere. Will definitely be back %u2013 especially since so close to the town of St Augustine and all the attractions there. Excellent Verizon - phone and wifi. When ldeft this morning, had to turn right around%u2014bad injector. Billy at Camachee Yacht Yard was very knowledgable and got us going again. Charlie on board Wanderlust. 6-21-12

Needs more depth, 2012-05-05
Captain: , Grand Haven (470)

We kicked up some mud getting into our slip at low tide and the sail boat next to us had to be pulled thru the mud by two dock hands too get into his slip. The loaner car was a great to get supplies.
We did not try the Kingfish grill based on the poor recommendation from a boater that has been here for 3 weeks, however I and my wife both had a great dinner at the Fishtails deli only a 5 minute walk from our boat..

Second time here., 2012-03-31
Captain: , Red Lion, DE (712)

2012-03-30 This is our 2nd stay - 1st time left the boat here for a month. We agree with all of the positives in the previous reviews but I would mention that it is a long walk from the far east end of the transient face dock to the marina office, esp. if you have 75 year old legs! We will be back.

Relaxing stop, 2012-03-19
Captain: , St. Lucie River (158)

Pulled in for one day and spent 3 'cause we really liked it. No problems with our 4.5 draft. Had a nice two for the price of one special going so the price was friendly. Clean faciilities: lounges, pool, and restrooms. Nice restaurant on premise called Kingfish Grill. Even more interesting is a nice deli/sit down place called FishTails in the little area next to the start of the Usine bridge. Great food and an awesome selection of microbrew beers. Publix on the other side of the bridge, about a 20 min walk. Atlantic beaches are a 30 min walk.

NOT enough water again., 2012-03-09
Captain: , Annapolis (187)

Camachee Cove depth is limited at low time to just a portion of the slips holding 7 foot of water. Around at 5.5 and partner boat at 4.5 ft.

I have been here twice, and both times I have been placed in slips with "Plenty of Water" to be sitting either hard on the bottom or stuck in a foot of mud. m-17 and the outer end of A dock. I would expect when your Even when quiered while docking about the depth and the tide going out, the answer of "We park 100 footers here at 7 foot draft and they are never on the bottom" is just another line from a dockhand.

The loaner car is nice, the bathrooms are ok but really showing age.

Can't beat the car deal. We got it @ 1600 and had it for all night. Diesel [VALVTECT] was $3.989/gal [w/o min]. Nice freebie little old fashioned glass with logo.

Great Service, Friendly Staff, 2012-02-05
Captain: , Palm Coast, FL (385)

Stopped in for some minor repairs. After a brief radio conversation mechanics met me at the dock and helped tie up. Service was quick and professional. Decided to stay the night and had dinner at the restaurant. food was excellent, especially the Blackened Oysters!!

Will most certainly return!

GREAT STOP, 2012-01-29
Captain: , CHARLESTON (330)

First time here - but won't be the last. Lovely facility, we've left our boat and will come back to get it. Can't wait to spend some time exploring the area. Everyone very nice, crowded but easily maneuvering in this protectd harbor. Do watch out for the tidal current as you enter the turn into the marina - fine once you pass the ICW

The best in St. Augustine, 2012-01-19
Captain: , Montreal, PQ (141)

Camachee Cove has everything you could possibly want, including a courtesy car for transients. Abundant clean facilities, nice lounges, excellent library, two restaurants, seafood shop and deli, many marine shops and an excellent boat repair facility. The nicest people who work hard to keep you happy. All for $1.75 a foot (under 40ft, with Boat US). Try out the Kingfisher Grill, great seafood.

The best marina, 2012-01-02

Comfortable Marina, 2011-11-29
Captain: , Marathon (275)

We needed to replace an anchor roller over the Thanksgiving weekend so we stopped here. The ships store didn't have it but the marina had loaner cars (2) and on Sunday we trekked to West Marine and Winn Dixie with their Lexus loaner. Nice, helpful people on the docks. Clean heads and showers. Restaurant is just okay.

Towed In and needed Electrical help., 2011-11-14
Captain: , Charleston, SC (54)

All power went out when anchoring. Found 3 250 AMP Fuzes blown. Boat US arrived on the sean and tower us to the Camachee Cove Marina where they have a Yard. John Peter the electrician was on board by 7:45 Am the next morning and had the problem resolved by noon and we were underway. I can''t say enough about the fine facilities and staff at this Marina. They have a great full service restaurant and a coffee shop open for breakfast. Just a note, John the electrican has called back two days in a row to be sure I was not having any problems. Thats SREVICE with committment.

My home marina and still my favorite., 2011-06-22
Captain: , St. Augustine (13)

Although the area around our slip is getting shallow and we have to be careful about the tides, this is a really top notch marina. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there is an excellent restaurant nearby, and the First Mate store is terrific. They have seasonal events that are fun and there is a strong feeling of community in the marina.

Auggie without current!, 2011-04-23

Great stop, 2011-04-20
Captain: , Greenport, NY (156)

top notch staff, excellent docks, good food at dockside restaurant, pool for the kiddies. Had an idiot taxi driver who couldn't find the Jacksonville airporty and we missed our flight (but that's not the marina's fault). Highly recommended !!!

Captain: , Indian Harbour Beach, FL (105)

A nice stop in late June 2010 on the way south. Even got a free "Camachee Cove" on the rocks cocktail glass upon check-in. Showers immaculate! Restaurant on the premises very good. Would recommend this marina.

A preferred stopover, 2011-04-13
Captain: , Kilmarnock, VA (290)

Our preferred stop over when going through St Augustine. Need to be aware of the current when entering it will push you around if you are not prepared and the current is ripping. Once inside there is no current and docking is straight forward, good turning room, floating docks and power. Staff is attentive and very helpful. We have taken on fuel here as we found their picing to be very competative at times but would check around to compare first. They include tax in their price while others will quote a price before taxes so be warry as you shop. We fueled at our dock which is really nice. Not as close to town as the city marina but still close enough without the current problems. Can get busy when the fishing tournaments are going on but we find them entertaining.

Great Marina, 2011-03-09
Captain: , Wilsonville, AL (474)

The best marina I've stayed at since leaving the Florida panhandle two months ago. Nice floating concrete docks, clean bathrooms and showers, extensive exchange library. Although not convenient to town by foot, the loaner cars make up for that.

Great property -- All the amenities, 2010-12-09
Captain: , Miami Beach, FL (87)

This is the 2nd time I've stayed here. Stayed 5 nights this time. Well kept marina with excellent docks. Protected cove. Loaner cars. Multiple washers & dryers. Didn't look at showers. Little deli on premises is great. Haven't tried restaurant on premises. Ships store on premisies as well as service facility. 2 miles from heart of Olde City so long walk compared to Municipal Marina but it's nice to be away from it all when you want to be. $5 cab ride each way to Olde City (and of course the loaner cars). Very nice staff. Distance from town and slightly high fuel prices (compared to Municipal and other stops North & South) is the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Will absolutely stay here again.

Great Facility, 2010-12-02
Captain: , Dallas, TX (726)

Camachee Cove provides excellent protection from wind, currents and storms. With high walls and surrounded by condos, it provide excellent storm protection.
The marina location, layout and staff provide excellent security for your boat.
Marina staff and dock hands are all very professional and accomodating. Our favorite marina for long periods of unattended boat dockage.

One of our favorites, 2009-06-12
Captain: , Marathon, FL (1203)

Great stop to refuel, reprovision, regroup. Nice pool on premises. Courtesy car for errands. Lots to do in and around St. Augustine. Docks are modern concrete floating docks. Fuel is usually available in your slip. Dockhands are very helpful. Restaurant is good, not terribly expensive. Fish Tails Market has great breakfast and lunch, some sundries. Ships Store is well-stocked. Plus, it's well away from the noise and dirt of construction at Bridge of Lions.

Nice folks, service is good and price is reasonable for Florida. They also have weekly and monthly rates. Easy to get in an out of from ICW, but watch the current coming in. They have two cars you can use to get to town for quick things.

Clean efficient and easy approach to docking once inside. Be carefull when approching entrance during an ebbing tide it will want to turn you 90deg. Good Rest. and bar on site. Main pool is excluded to boaters, only for condo owners. Over all it is a great stop over place to see St. Augustine.
