Reviews for Burr Brothers Boats
Great location. Great boatyard., 2017-09-01
Captain: , Norfolk, VA (470)

Burr Brothers is not a marina, but a working boat yard with moorings available for transients and seasonal rentals.  Excellent launch boat service.  Friendly, knowledgeable staff.  Seems a busy boat yard with lots of expertise and a large work force.  I would definately bring my boat here for service. Marion center is a beautiful village.  Marion harbor is a beautiful place.  We will definitely return to Marion and Burr Brothers.  It is now our favorite destination in Buzzards Bay.

Northwest Corner of the Harbor, 2017-07-06

We spent a lovely day and night here on a friend's mooring at the Burr Bros. marina. Picturesque views of the marshes, and a terrific dinghy ride around the harbor checking out all of the boats. A mix of large sailboats, multi-hulls, trawlers and express cruisers, with sailing heavy influence. Many clubs had their small one design boats on docks, there to train the next generation of sailors. Gwen, our launch driver, was kind enough to tow our dinghy to the dock for our late night return. Less than a mile north of Burr's on Front Street is a Cumberland Farms and two restaurants - Brew-fish - which pretty much hews to its moniker, and a small BYOB Thai restaurant. The Thai place was closed onMonday, July 3rd, and Brew-fish was bustling. Great westport oysters. Back to the boat, and into the water, which was surprisingly warm. I can't give you a direct temperature reading, but warmer than the west bay of Narragansett, and much warmer than our native Boston Harbor waters! Overall, a very pleasant way to break up our Hingham to Jamestown trip, and we are very likely to repeat. Four stars based on our limited interaction with the marina, and a truly lovely setting.

Very nice marina, 2017-07-03

Great service at Burr Brothers.

Very Friendly, 2013-06-18
Captain: , Boston (331)

The Boston Sailing Center keeps a couple of boats here and we sailed a Bavaria 37 that is moored here. The staff were very friendly experienced sailors where were genuinely interested in talking about our cruise. They were very helpful with shuttling 10 days of provisions and gear to and from our boat. The mooring is very crowded and it can be difficult to find a specific mooring without guidance.

Very helpful staff and launch crew. Really enjoyed brief stay here, laundry, grocery, restaurants close by. Mooring field is well back up Sippicant Harbor so should be peaceful in any blow.

Burr Brothers Moorings, 2011-06-22
Captain: , Stuart, Fl (360)

We hailed them on VHF68 & were instructed to our mooring ball which have penants for easy hooking but it's quite crowded. However, it was very peaceful & quiet. The launch guys were very friendly and informative & even offered a car if we needed one. $40/nite

Excellent boatyard, 2009-06-08
Captain: , Gloucester, Mass. (799)

Stayed one week having transmission damper plate replaced on the Perkins 6.354 engine on our Krogen 42 trawler. It was a tricky job and we were very favorably impressed by the skill and expertise of the mechanics. Still waiting for our bill, but we know it will be high.
