Reviews for Burnt Island Floating Dock
Stop & Walk, 2016-01-17

This is a nice quick stop and tour. Check their open hours before you visit. There is a nice walking path and tour around the island. A tour boat visits on a schedule. There are a couple moorings available just off the dock available first come first serve.

State owned island, but no state funds. The Friends of Burnt Island request a donation from those who visit - a couple of donation boxes are placed near the landing spots. Light house tours and living museum tours twice a week recreate the days just before automation of the light and horn. Floating dock and two short term moorings (day use only) on the northwest corner of the island. Pet friendly, so long as they are on leash, and cleaned up after. No trash disposal on the island - carry in, carry out. Small gift shop with souvenirs and minimal snacks.

Great place to go for a day trip! This is a wonderful island that you can walk around. If you go at the right time, you can also tour the lighthouse and see what it was like running the lighthouse back in the day. Be sure to bring a lunch with you for a nice picnic on the rocks!

Great place to dinghy to from any point in Boothbay. Signs tell you where to tie as not to block front, wher supply and tour boat docks. Free dinghy tie up. The island is a nice spot to visit. Bring a lunch and explore the lighthouse and the island. There are rest rooms and a rocky beach.
