Reviews for Burdines Waterfront
Restaurant, 2016-12-01
Captain: , Winter Park, Florida (103)

We ate dinner here and watched the sunset. The food was great. We had to stop half way through dinner for bug spray though. I guess it is just part of life in the Keys.

Good food and facilities, 2016-11-16
Captain: , Orlando, FL (275)

Enjoyed a couple nights here after cruising some secluded keys and want a convenient place to see the sites in Marathon. Side tie docks were nice but in season rate of $3.50/ft was a bit of a shock. Restrooms and showers are very clean. Four separate private mini bungalows house the bathroom / showers. Easy access to all the other restaurants and bars around Marathon via Bob Narley taxi, $5 to anywhere on Marathon. Really enjoyed Turtle Hospital tour.

Burdines food and service is great and we saw the best sunset of the week sitting at the bar upstairs.

Unethical!, 2016-09-03
Captain: , St. Petersburg, Fl (10)

We called this morning & made a reservation for a New Year's vacation, December 30 - January 2. The very helpful person on the phone accepted the reservation, took my CC information, and charged the first night to it. She also commented they were filling up fast for the Holiday season.
I advised our friends of the need to reserve now for a New Year slip & they called to make their reservation. They did, reserved for the whole month of December and called us to let us know.
Exactly five minutes after the call from our friends, Burdines called us to advise us they could not accept a three-day reservation "in season", and required a three month minimum.
We did not accept the minimum and have cancelled our New Year Keys vacation.

Great spot, 2016-03-28
Captain: , Kingston, ON (250)

Four clean and private washrooms with showers. Very nice! Prices in line with everyone else. Free ice and water was great. Helpful staff, very easy in and out for fuel or pump out.

Nice People-Good Marina, 2015-12-06
Captain: , New Port Richey, FL (63)

Stopped for fuel leaving the harbor. Topped off cooler with free ice. Staff was helpful and friendly. Will stop there again next trip.

Nice Marina - Key's Prices, 2015-04-13
Captain: , Winter Garden, Fl (2173)

Very good marina - staff was very helpful, facilities were top notch and the prices were comparable with others in the area. The restaurant served cold beer and good food (great stone crab soup!). Unlimited ice & water - always nice to rinse off the boat!

Best burger on the island, 2015-03-09
Captain: , Nashville, TN (290)

Had lunch there several times and the food was good. Great views from the second story deck.

Burdines Tiki Bar above office, 2014-12-28
Captain: , Annapolis MD. (101)

After doing the east coast ICW and Abacos--Burdines has the best fish sandwich ($8.50?!!) you'll find anywhere. Usually Mahi Mahi. Highly recommended

Good but Nothing Special (Restaurant), 2014-07-10
Captain: , Placida, FL (276)

Read all of the reviews raving about the fries so we figured we had to come try them - OK, good sized order, but they were nothing special. Some sort of powdered seasoning sprinkled on top, but we've had better (not that they're bad, just not worth making a special trip for). The rest of the menu is typical: Burgers, salads, etc. with good-sized portions. We prefer the garlic fries at Dockside - They're great (and the first order is free when you bring your boat card).

Great Sunset views, 2014-04-12
Captain: , Marathon (90)

We often take the dingy to Burdines. The shrimp basket and fish sandwiches are great. Also good burgers.
We love the fries !!!!

Good restaurant, 2014-03-10
Captain: , Key Colony Beach (130)

Easy to get in and out. All no wake from the Ocean. Not an abundance fo dockage for day trippers, but worth the trip

holding tank shower, 2014-01-29
Captain: , Cedar Crest, NM (80)

As I was told by other marina operators what what can happen I pressed down very hard on the nozzle but the operator, who was being instructed by yet another person, still managed to pop it off. The marina charged me 15 cents a gallon to clean off. Nice guys.

Wow! The key Lime, 2013-08-13
Captain: , Chatham, Mass (71)

The fried Key Lime is out of this world. Worth a stop anytime.

Chikitiki bar rocks..., 2013-07-19
Captain: , MA and Southwest FL (538)

OK, we didn't spend a night in the marina, so not a lot of input there, other than it looks very basic.

What rocks, is the Chikitiki bar upstairs. Awesome food. Their fries with special seasoning are amazing and the fried key lime is incredible.

Grab a table, and be prepared for no-see-ums if the wind isn't blowing enough. Don't worry, the waitress can provide some bug spray if you want.

Can't get enough of those fries and fried key lime...did I mention that?

great place for fuel and best fries in the keys, 2013-06-25
Captain: , Marathon, FL (135)

This is a great marina. The people are friendly and it is easy to get fuel on the way in or out of Boot Key Harbor. The restaurant is great. They have the best french fries in the Keys!

Laid back restaurant with plenty of character & a dinghy dock, 2013-06-15
Captain: , Fort Lauderdale (144)

As middle Keys restaurants go this is great and an ideal place for lunch. Second floor dining offers a view and a breeze. Reasonable prices and staff with character and humor. They will cook your catch at fair prices. By far the best french fries you will find anywhere. They are hand cut from fresh potatoes and not frozen. For dinner it is so so, but lunch it is recommended. Great new floating proper dinghy dock that is located inside the marina entry, east side, just past the dive boat boarding area and fuel tanks. By a goon margin this is the best restaurant in Boot Key Harbor. The fuel dock is very well maintained and they also offer Bio-Diesel which in a new item and I think the only Marathon marina to have Bio-Diesel.

Safe harbor for extended stay, 2013-05-25
Captain: , Gulf Shores Alabama (748)

We have been here 3 times and have rented a slip monthly when we had to fly home for busiess/personal reasons or to have diesel repair work done. We couldn't leave the boat on the City Marina mooring ball, so this was a good alternative. The marina has several live-aboards who are nice and helpful, and knowledgable of the area. There are very nice bath-huts that are clean and private, and also a laundry. The restaurant is very good and reasonable in price. Sunset views are beautiful. Water and ice are included in the daily or monthly rent. Fuel is available and they sell enough to ensure that it is clean. The fuel equipment is in good shape and they take great pains in selling clean fuel.

One of those "must stop" places on a Keys adventure, 2013-02-21
Captain: , NORTH EAST, MD (125)

Nice second story deck tiki bar right on the water. Nice friendly staff and good food. A short dinghy ride if you are anchored in Boot harbor (by the other boats).

Nice tiki bar and fuel stop, 2013-02-18
Captain: , currently Plantation Yacht Harbor, Islamorada, Fla. Keys (4407)

Quite charming tiki bar on the second floor over fuel dock. On the channel comming into Boot Key Harbor.

stopped for dinner, 2012-08-09
Captain: , cocoa (130)

This is a great local restraunt. All the food was servied on the, unair conditioned, second floor. The view is of Boot key harbor. Great stop...

Dinghy access for restaurant, 2012-06-26
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (639)

They have a small floating dinghy dock. You can dock here and eat at the restaurant. All menu items are under $10. Food is good. Be sure to visit when Joe Mama is performing. He is a Marathon institution and an all time Marathon favorite guitar playing singer.

A welcoming marina, 2012-06-07
Captain: , Wanakena, NY (619)

Limited number of transient slips for 15.5 beam. Welcoming and friendly slipholders and staff. Randy, manger, works well with customers. Not a party scene marina. Restaurant closes early but is a great place for good, basic food...try the french fries. (Beer and wine only) Showers are tiki huts, open air, very private, with fans and are great!
No swimming options.
Walk to 7 mile bridge for great views and sunsets.
Enjoy the cats.
We loved the staff.
A definite return.
Say hi to Charlie in the Chinese Junk and tell him Chas and Bev sent you.

Great stop in the Key,s, 2012-04-05
Captain: , Puna Gorda Fl. (10)

We have stayed at Burdines more than once and have yet to be disappointed and the food is great!

Friendly staff but tired docks, 2012-03-14
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

Marathon is packed this time of year, so we were happy to find a slip for our arrival into Boot Key. We were by the fuel dock, but that was the only choice. The staff was very friendly and worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. Restroom/showers are clean. Chicki Tiki is the bar/restaurant upstairs, and its just a short walk to The Castaways. Its all just a little tired.

Good stopover, 2012-01-24
Captain: , GREEN COVE SPRINGS, FL (736)

We stayed her one night as a self-indulgent relapse from our usual style of anchoring out, and did not regret it. Pet-friendly, very good facilities (showers, laundry), and helpful staff. Liveaboards also friendly and helpful. Took a cab ride to Publix ($4). Walked to corner of highway (5 mintues) for ATM. Highly recommend.

Great people, nice marina, awesome fries!, 2012-01-19
Captain: , Delray Beach, FL (327)

2012 Update: 2nd visit.....spent a couple nites waiting for a weather window delivering a race boat home from Key West. Burdines girls rock!! The staff is outstanding and the fries really are worth the trip! Very nice showers. No courtesy car, but no problem getting a ride to NAPA for parts. 6 foot draft no problem. Easy in and out for a transit night.

Burdines fuel dock opens early!, 2011-07-30
Captain: , West Palm Beach (121)

The fuel dock opens at 6 or 630 AM which gives you the opportunity to bring your boat over well in advance of the crowd that uses the channel. We have an underpowered, heavy, deep draft sailboat-- so this was a blessing. We got there early--they took our lines, we fueled up without stress.

Stays at Burdine's for May/June Dolphin Fishing, 2011-05-18
Captain: , Melbourne, Fl (10)

Nice friendly. Limited dockage, some live aboards are a little messy. Great food at the Chiki Tiki, and very nice people worling the marina office and fuel dock. Fuel, ice, bait, and fish stories available.

Great weather and Great people, 2011-03-21
Captain: , n o n e (127)

We have been in our slip for January thru March and have had a wonderful time. The people have been great and the rest rooms and laundry have always been clean. This is a small marina and has only a coulple of open slips for next winter. We will be back and look forward to seeing friends. The marina has narrow slips (15' width) and our Defever 44 just fits. Very protected.

Burdines restaurant, 2011-02-05
Captain: , Punta Gorda, FL (555)

This is a great dog friendly place to enjoy happy hour, watch the sunset, and stay for a great burger. We really enjoyed it, and it's a short dinghy ride from the mooring field.

Best French Fries in the Keys!, 2010-08-28
Captain: , Annapolis, MD (384)

the cheeky tiki bar/restaurant at Burdines has the best french fries in the Keys, probably in FL. Big basket is almost a meal. Dollar beers at the fuel dock, dingy dock is around the corner to NE.

best price for beer in town, 2010-08-27
Captain: , Marathon, FL (121)

dollar beers on the fuel dock.

great overnight spot, 2009-09-20
Captain: , ft myers beach (790)

We came in from long run from Stuart. Friendly efficient staff and facility. Really clean heads/showers. Bar is beer and wine only.
Nice sunset views. Slips limited for over 15ft beam. Walking distance to other bars, restaurants and shops. Will go back.

Nice Small Marina, 2007-04-25
Captain: , Ocala (7)

I left my boat there for a couple of months last spring and would have gone back this spring but they were full. Nice small marina, maybe 20 slips. Very nice and accomodating dockmaster and staff. They have fuel, clean shower facilities,a well stocked grocery store and a tiki bar/restaurant with excellent food and drink. Several other restaurants within walking distance and there is a West Marine close by
