Reviews for Bumpus Mills Marina
Snacks, power, no beer, 2014-10-07
Captain: , Nashville, TN (115)

This is basically a fish camp. When the boat owner asked "What are we near?", the answer: "Nuthin'"
Friendly folks, just local fishermen. The marina owner doesn't sell beer because "his wife won't let him." We tied up to the side of the office with a 34' sailboat, sticking out at both ends, not much room for anything else. In about 10' of water.
Bass tourney got underway early at the ramp next to us, so we did too. Very basic place to stay overnight, but it works.

Absolutely basic overnight stop. Nothing but fine folks and a welcome place to get out of the river late in the day. Room for maybe two boats rafted up and sharing the two 30 amp outlets on the side of the buliding. $25 for our 44 foot trawler. Liked it a lot although cloth napkins with my fried pork skins woud have added a nice touch.

Walter is the friendly manager. Has fishing tackle and snacks along with gas, no diesel. No heads or showers, just a portapoti. Tie to the office barge for $25 a night. Only 30 amp power. No wi-fi or cell phone service.

Interesting Stop, 2011-10-23
Captain: , St. Augustine, FL (4015)

We called and told them we might arrive after their 4pm closing time - they replied: Just tie up and make yourself at home. Arriving before they left and on their way out they asked: We are going to Sams, you need anything? Where do you get treated like one of the family? No cell service, no WiFi, no restaurant, nothing but country within walking distance. Not a resort, just an old fishing marina with friendly people. We tied to the floating marina office, no cleats, just tied to the roof supports. A good stop.

Very small marina, but big on service., 2011-06-07

Arrived late on Saturday night (5-29-2011), the owner drove down and opened the gas dock for us. Filled the tanks and put us along side the store for the night. Nice guy. At 5:30AM a bass fishing tourney left the ramp right next to the store, so we got an early start.
