Reviews for Brunswick Landing Marina
Wonderful Stay, 2017-08-07
Captain: , Oregon (386)

This is a great stop on your way North/South, or if your insurance allows, a stay for the summer. Access is easy once you get past the Jekyll Island/St. Simons inlet....take that at high tide with no North wind!

The staff is incredibly friendly and accomodating; the livaboards here are plentiful and also very friendly and gladly share their local knowledge. There is plenty to do starting with Free Beer 7x24 Plus happy hour on Monday, Wednesday, & Friday serving free wine as well (bring a light snack to share) which allows you to get to know everyone around you. Overall the rates are good (Electric is a bit high @.23 per kwh!) but again.....a great stop!

As for previous comments about not being pet friendly, I saw a number of dogs on the docks and there is an area for for dogs to roam and do their business. If that refers to them not being allowed in the clubhouse, I can cite a number of yacht clubs that do the same. A small issue at a very terrific marina.

Management response:
We love hearing stories where an intended 1-day stay turns in to a multiple week stay! People keep telling us how hard it is to leave all the great people at our marina and we're glad to have such great people here that make people want to stay.

We hope you guys have very safe travels and that all four of you will return as soon as you're able. I hear those people at Ziggy's want to get some more dancing in! :)

Brunswick Landing Marina, 2017-08-04
Captain: , Honolulu (490)

Very nice marina and the people staying there are amazing. Downtown Brunswick is a close walk but real shopping is a cab ride or Uber away. There are several people with cars that are willing to assist you with shopping.

Special note though...I give them three stars because they are not pet friendly.

Management response:
Mr. Graves, thank you to you and your wife for visiting our marina. We enjoyed having you with us and I enjoyed speaking with you at our weekly parties. Your review concerns us though.

We have gone out of our way to make Brunswick Landing Marina a VERY pet friendly place. The marina owners all have dogs of their own as well as a large number of our marina customers. We do have a "no pets inside" policy simply because not everyone is a dog lover like we are. When we start letting dogs inside, on the furniture, pooping on the floor, and barking while people are trying to relax, it does not create a fair and hospitable atmosphere for everyone at the marina.

Upon your arrival at the marina, I noticed you and your wife would carry around your poodle in your purse while at the food and wine parties at the marina. When you were advised that we do not allow pets inside our lounges or bathrooms, you told me that this dog was a "service dog" for your PTSD. Federal and State law require that service dogs be allowed anywhere a patron can go to aid in them with their disability. However, Georgia law, which the marina is governed by, defines a "service dog" as a dog that has been professionally trained to aid and assist a physically disabled person. In disregard for this state law and company policy, you continued to bring your dog into the lounges. You were never asked to leave nor did anyone discuss the issue with you further. We simply advised you that you were violating your Slip Rental Agreement that you signed upon your arrival.

Again, I'm sorry that your dog is not defined as a service dog by Georgia law but as a business operating within the confines of Georgia law we must adhere to the what is mandated by our state. We welcome you to return, with your pooch, any time in the future!

Easy on to the outside fuel dock. 2 staff members assisted well. Free beer in the clubhouse every night and free wine on Wednesdays. Just happened to be there on a Wednesday - quite the social occasion, there are many liveaboards. Short walk to historic downtown area with many restaurants.

Our off-season port, 2017-06-04
Captain: , Charleston (40)

We have been here for three seasons. Great place to leave a boat. We enjoy the amenities of the marina when we are aboard. The laundry facilites are free and adequate. The bath houses are generally clean and maintained. The office staff are very helpful. A great place to meet and make friends with other cruisers. The downtown is within walking distance, although we generally keep a car for accessing other parts of the area.

April 2017 review; low fuel price and free pump out brings us back, but helpful staff is always a plus. Work on fuel dock taking place during this visit, we docked further up the river.

May 2012 review: Large marina, just a few blocks from downtown Brunswick. Sherrie was great directing us into marina, lots of help with lines. Marina provides detailed map and listings for local businesses. Free wi-fi, free laundry, but cable did not work. Brunswick old, interesting town with many parks, homes, old oak trees.

October 2015 review: Dockmaster Sherrie is very welcoming, follow her directions for docking! WiFi working good, all dock staff was friendly and helpful. Great fuel prices, some transient slips have both in slip fuel fill & pump out, other times you have to move to T-head. We will be back again.

Management response:
Captain Matuska, thank you for your continued patronage! We certainly love seeing old faces again and catching up with you on your travels.

However, what we would really love to do is be able to turn your 4-star review into a 5-star review. Is there anything that we could improve for your next visit in order to get this review upgraded to 5-stars? We strive for perfection and this is the best way to let other boaters know what type of marina we are.

If anything was not 100% up to your satisfaction please call Michael Torras at 912-230-7519 and he will make sure you rectify any issues within his power!

Thank you again for entrusting us with your boat.

Captain: , Westport CT (554)

Stopped her on 4/10 and left Osprey Moon for several days to go round up crew (dogs)...easy place to get into as a single hander...fuel, showers, etc. what you would expect. Very nice restaurant right at the marina and easy to get to Brunswick airport for crew coming in.
Would stop again.

What a neat marina this is right in the old heart of the town. Walking or bicycling everywhere, including west marine and winn dixie. Definitely a keeper. Oh did I mention free wifi, laundry, even beer?

We're so glad that you got to enjoy our little slice of heaven! We enjoyed having you guys stay with us and hope you will return again to see us soon. Safe travels!

Great Marina, 2017-03-25
Captain: , Confetti, Kadey Krogen (1699)

We stopped here for two nights and found everything we needed. Marina was very clean and well kept. Showers were also very clean as were bathrooms. Laundry room with free laundry was wonderful. Wifi also very good. The people staying at the marina were very welcoming and on Friday night as well as other evenings they have a 5-7 happy hour with free wine and beer. Everyone brings an app to share. It was great meeting folks doing the loop too! You can walk or bike to town and west marine and Winn Dixie. The town is very small and a lot of stores are closed down. We greatly appreciated the staffs work for making the marina so clean and well maintained. Also, they had awesome fuel prices!

Very social stop, 2017-03-25
Captain: , Port Aransas, TX (1453)

We stayed a week 3/11-17 and met lots of interesting people, both locals and transients. Happy hour 3 nights per week was fun. Loaner bikes were appreciated, but we did not use them. Free laundry was great, but I would suggest replacing the 3rd washer in the laundry by Dock 1 with a stack washer/dryer. When using the 3rd washer on a busy day, I waited several hours for 1 of the 2 dryers. Walked the downtown area - a few shops and restaurants, but lots of boarded up buildings, too. It's an easy bike ride to a very nice Winn Dixie, but the route is through a not-so-nice neighborhood.

Great place to stay, 2017-03-13
Captain: , Satellite Beach (10)

We loved this place, it hadd everything. If we had more time we would stay for much longer. Dockmaster Chris was very nice and helpful. I would look forward to coming back here again.

At Last..., 2017-02-17
Captain: , MV Red Head (3106)

Another great stay. We left the boat to visit family for Thanksgiving. Then decided to stay on through Christmas. Christmas Day cruisers party was fun. And you can't beat the M-W-F cocktails in the clubhouse with free beer and wine. It's a fun group of boaters. Add to that the terrific staff and it's no wonder it's hard to leave!

2015: Brunswick Landing Marina is one of those places we frequently hear about but fate has been against us. We had never been able to stop in. This year we decided to make it our stop for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We were definitely not disappointed. Not only is the basic infrastructure good they continue to make improvements. There's free laundry available at two locations, free courtesy bikes, one of the best welcome packets we have seen, and clean heads and showers. There is a friendly and active boater community, charming little town with shops and restaurants, and a comfortable boaters' lounge. If you need another reason to visit there's a boaters' cocktail every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with free wine - no, that's not a typo.

We found it easy to rent a car to visit family as both Enterprise and Hertz will pick you up at the marina. There was no worry leaving the boat for a week as the marina is very well protected and the staff is vigilant.

Which brings me to the staff. There is none better. Sherrie and Cindy know how to get you safely in and are always happy to help with anything you might need. Thank you for making our stay special.

And last but not least, our canine crew enjoyed their stay as well. There are many places to walk them either around the marina or through the town. If you are up for a long walk, there is a dog park about 1.5 miles on the other side of town. It's an easy walk through town with sidewalks. But of course their favorite part was Sherrie who gave loads of love. They miss you, Sherrie!

It might have taken us a long time to make our first visit to Brunswick Landing but it definitely won't take long to make our next visit. Don't miss this stop!

Management response:
Thank you Karen & Jeff

You have lived up to everything we have heard about you, and then some. Our sincere thanks not only for your visit but also for the emergency seminar you gave in our Yacht Club. It was a huge success and thoroughly enjoyed by all of the 75+ people in attendance.

Many many thanks,

Sherrie, Cindy, and Michael

Great Marina And Community, 2017-02-01
Captain: , Georgetown, MD (372)

This is a great marina whether you stay here for a day, a week, or a month. The monthly rate is very affordable compared to other marinas especially when you factor in all of the amentities and the cruiser community. We were here for the marina sponsered Christmas Party and the New Years Eve party where the marina provided the champagne and both were excellent. The marina sponsered cocktail hours three times a week tends to bring the cruisers together. Free beer, free laundry, free Wi-Fi (was great on our dock!), exceptionally clean facilities, floating concrete docks, grills at the head of each dock, free pump out, 10% off at most of the local restaurants. On top of all that, Brunswick is a neat town within walking distance, and they do have community events worth attending. Although there are some empty downtown buildings, there are art galleries, antique stores, the Ritz Theatre, and several restaurants that are all very good. Daddy Cate's is great for that morning coffee and baked goods, and do not miss Indigo Coastal Shanty. Wynn Dixie is a little over a mile away, along with West Marine. CVS Pharmacy is less than that. We were at BLM for seven weeks and rode our bikes and pulled a cart to the grocery store all the time. Post Office is downtown. Island Jerk restaurant also bakes deserts injected with rum and other alcohol. We really enjoyed our stay at BLM and Brunswick. We rented a car and visited St. Simons Island and Jeykll Island. One thing Brunswick is missing is public transportation. There is Uber here but we didn't try that.

While I can't say enough good things about Brunswick Landing Marina, there is room for improvement. The Wi-Fi on our dock was always excellent, but many other cruisers complained about it. We also heard complaints about the bicycles but this didn't affect us as we had our own. I would like to see recycle containers at each dock for recycling. There is a recycle dumpster but it's way out by the road. Some of the paperwork we received, especially about the town, was outdated, and even some of the advertising on the bulletin boards concerning the local business was outdated.

Again, a great marina and we are looking forward to coming back next year.

We Made BLM our Hailing Port, 2017-01-29
Captain: , Brunswick, GA (301)

We purchased our trawler at Jekyll Island in May of 2015 and moved it %u201Ctemporarily%u201D to BLM. Minnesota transplants, we liked BLM so much we made it our hailing port. Scan through the reviews, and you%u2019ll understand why. Friendly staff, and all the basic amenities a cruiser or liveaboard could want -- free laundry, several bath houses with perpetually clean restrooms and showers, a clubhouse with free dependable WiFi (free WiFi on the docks, but sporadic at best), free bike usage, and a few unexpected amenities free wine parties three nights a week, free beer 24/7. There%u2019s an active Cruiser%u2019s Net. BLM has done %u201Ccommunity%u201D right. BUT (there is always a but) ... BLM needs to focus a bit more on the dirty nuts and bolts of boating stuff. When we were there this past year, the one mechanic on staff (great guy BTW) was out sick; there didn%u2019t seem to be a plan B other than %u201CHere%u2019s a guy to call.%u201D They have a boatyard with haulout capability, but the yard itself doesn%u2019t inspire confidence. Again, nice people, but not a place you%u2019d recommend for major service. Frustrating more often than not when looking for a bike and finding most are in almost unusable condition. We carry tools and an air pump and fix them up the best we can. Overall, BLM is a great value whether staying a night, a week or a month, but the one fee I do mind paying is 15 percent on outside contract work, given that some services aren%u2019t really available on site. The latter reasons why the %u201C4%u201D rating rather than a %u201C5.%u201D Looking for improvement and confident it will happen.

marina for cruisers, 2017-01-26
Captain: , Beaufort, SC (500)

This place has done it right! There is an active cruiser community and lots of activities if that interests you. Our boat was there during hurricane Mathew and did not get a scratch. Free beer? I thought how could that be. Well it's true as well as laundry and other services.

Awesome cruiser marina.

Management response:
Capt. Tully,

We truly enjoyed having you stay with us and we're glad that we were able to provide safe haven for your boat during the crazy hurricane season this year.

Come back and see us soon, we'll keep the beer cold for you! :D

Great Marina with Community, 2017-01-19
Captain: , Boston (100)

We think very highly of Brunswick Landing Marina. We have stayed here twice and recently left our boat for seven months. Our boat made it through unscathed from Hurricane Matthew so that in itself is fantastic. The marina is clean with many amenities: nice showers, lending library, free washer dryers, bikes to use, complimentary beer on tap, etc. We enjoy the happy hours Monday, Wednesday and Fridays with free beer and wine and everyone brings appetizers. The people range from liveaboards to those cruising through but we always end up meeting great people and having interesting conversations.

The people are really terrific and the happy hours and activities bring everyone together. I went to the Tuesday morning craft gathering and wished I had gone sooner. I met some great ladies and learned how to make pine needle baskets. Now I am hooked.

The cost is reasonable and we don't feel nickel and dimed.

Brunswick is an interesting place. We have had great meals at The Farmer and the Lauder, Indigo, Basil's and Tipsy McSways. We saw a wonderful performance of Lend me a Tenor at the Brunswick Actors' Theatre and dinner/movie at the Ritz. We have a car so we also spend time on St Simons Island where we joined a great health club, The Club, and Jekyll where we had a fabulous Sunday brunch and fun Segway Tour.

Michael Torras and the team at Brunswick Landing are very customer focused and easy to talk to. They work hard at building community at the marina and making everyone feel connected.

On Dock 14, I sometimes I have trouble connecting to the wifi. Some say it got worse after the hurricane. It seems to be getting better.

Other than the wifi, this place is great. We will definitely be back and recommend highly. Going to other marinas you soon appreciate what a special place BLM is.

One of the very best!, 2017-01-14
Captain: , Ft Lauderdale, FL (146)

UPDATE: We've now stayed at Brunswick Landing three times in the last year and a half and it doesn't matter if we're there for a week or two months, it always feels like home. BLM has a great live aboard community and the place is run very well. The parties are great, the wine tasting, the free beer, the like-new, FREE washers and dryers, the great lending library, and awesome Yacht Club/Lounge make this a great place to stay for as long as you like.
The downtown area is just a walk cross the street and has some great places to eat, unfortunately the lack of a shuttle or courtesy car is noticeable since all the stores, groceries, marine supplies, etc. are a ways away. The WiFi can be great or not so great depending on where you are on the docks.
But it's the people that make or break a place and Brunswick Landing has lots of great people both as residents and running the place. We'll be back!

I spent a month and a half with the folks at Brunswick Landing Marina and loved it. I had just picked up a new (to us) 44' sloop and needed a place to stay for a while to get her ready to bring back home to South Florida.
BLM has a lot more going than just great amenities! Free, like new, washers and dryers, free wine tasting parties three times a week, free BBQs on holidays! Free Loaner Bikes, downtown a block away, GREAT Floating concrete docks and a wonderful crew to help you whenever you need it! What's not to love?
Most importantly, the marina is very well run. For a place this large it needs a steady hand and it has that in the management by Sherri and her crew. I met lots of great long time residents and folks who store their boats there every year and they can't say enough good things.
As I said at my first of many get-togethers at the Yacht Club, "Back when my wife and I lived aboard in the late 70s and early 80s, this is the kind of place we would pull into for a night or two and a month later ask each other if we were ready to move on yet".
We will most definitely make BLM a must stop every trip north or south!
Thanks for a GREAT stay!

Management response:
Thanks for the comments. We look forward to seeing you again.

Disappointed, 2016-11-28
Captain: , Green Cove Springs, FL (180)

We have stayed at the marina last year and we are disappointed in the customer service, inrtanet and fees. There is an "environmental fee" that I have never seen at an other marina we have stayed. And what is this "credit card cost". How many cruisers carry cash to pay for their marina cost? This is just another way for the marina to make a profit but making it look like a normal charge. I know there is a cost for businessed to accept credit cards. But most business this large can get a much lower rate than 4% which is what is charged. Customer service has seem to go down hill. For medical reasons we asked to be closer to the club house. We were told dock 14 was the best they could do. During our week long stay we saw the same slips that were open every day. I went to the Dock House to ask a question and the employees that were working waited on other customers that came in after me. It was not until I was the only person in there that I was waited on. Then I got a "smart" answer instead of a helpful answer. The intranet is very spotty. If you are not next to a repeater you do not have a strong intranet connection. We wanted to use our booster and found out boosters are blocked. I agree the free laundery and beer and wine, for those who drink, is nice. But from what I see of the fees, we paid for it. It just did not appear as laundry/beer/wine on the invoice.

Management response:
Dear Captain JMG,

I am terribly sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience. As I am sure you know, we pride ourselves on exemplary customer service to each-and-every customer of ours, whether you’re in a 35’ sailboat or on a 150’ yacht, we try our best to treat everyone with the respect they deserve.

We are aware of the current internet problems we are facing. It frustrates us as much as anyone else I promise. We have called in a new company that specializes specifically in marina Wi-Fi systems. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will be able to help us figure out just what is going on so that we can keep providing fast and reliable internet available to our customers.

When we originally enacted the environmental fee, we did it under the premise that it would be nice for our customers to see where their dockage fees were being applied. Instead of raising the dockage rate $1.00/foot we decided to raise it $.50/foot and then add a $24/month environmental fee that would be used in certain areas relating to the environment (internet, recycling, waste disposal, site cleanup, etc..). While we are a business, in business to make money, I think if you ask around you will find that the general consensus is that we are not here to nickel-and-dime anyone. We love our boaters and we love providing excellent service to them are a fair rate.

While you are correct, most boaters do not carry around loads of cash with them, I think it is safe to say that the majority do carry around a checkbook with them. We encourage cash or check payments so that you may avoid the 4% credit card fee. This 4% figure is the multiplier that we have come up with that pays, not only for our direct fees associated with processing credit cards, but also with the indirect overhead costs relating to equipment, internet, and employee time. If you look at many gas stations these days, they also have a cash vs credit price. We do prefer cash/check and encourage everyone to pay that way.

I am terribly sorry that you feel that you were not given the customer service that you should have received. I can assure you that Ralph, Kris, and Cindy all are very nice and friendly people who would have bent over backwards to help you if they knew you needed assistance. The Dock Office has become an unofficial lounge of sorts in which people gather and chat. I can only assume they thought you were simply lounging around rather than looking for help.

Again, I sincerely apologize on behalf of the marina, our staff, and myself for your unpleasant experience. This is a rare case and is something we do not take lightly. If you are willing to give us another chance, please contact me personally next time you are passing by our area and I will do a something special for you to know that you are appreciated and are always a part of the Brunswick Landing Marina family.

Free laundry, cheap electric, movie nights, nice docks, helpful people, and a town. Not five stars because the internet is terrible.

Velco marina, 2016-11-21
Captain: , Salem Ma (790)

This marina is sticky like velco.
Reasonable $1.50/ft, no weeky rate but the mothy works out to 8.3 days
floating docks in good condition
clubhouse with TV/showers/bathrooms
FREE BEER (just help yourself)
happy hour 3 times/week - FREE WINE
walking distance to a reasonable grocery store, liqour store, hardware store
walking distance to the old downtown (standard dying downtown) with a handfull of resturants
short Uber ride to anywhere else
loaner bikes

internet is slow and we couldn't stream video
need more bikes, we never could get one
there;s a paper mill near by and you will get the smell (not as bad as Georgetown SC)

Management response:
Captain Don,

Thank you so much for the kind words. Our sneaky little plan is to lure transients in with low fuel and nightly prices and then convince them to stay with all the fun activities and great people that we have here. Almost all of our full-time residents were, at one time, just a passerby loading up on fuel or simply staying for a night or two.

Regarding the negatives... We apologize about the internet. It's something that has been a thorn in our sides for a while now, and the number one gripe we receive from customers (and, at times, very merited). To date, we have hired 3 different tech firms to evaluate our network. Each time has costs us more money than we care to remember, with very little added benefit. We continue to be told that our setup is the best that can be installed (excluding very expensive fiber optics ran the entire 3/4 miles of our waterfront). Yet, we continue to be frustrated by the results, as do our customers.

I personally am looking for a better solution as we speak. The internet is our #1 complaint we receive, and it is simply not acceptable in today's day and age. We understand that the internet is the only source of communication to the rest of the world for a lot of people, and for this to be inadequate is unacceptable.

I promise we will get this working better.

We added 10 extra bikes in the past year or so. I think we now have 15(ish). I was unaware that we didn't have enough bikes! I will make sure to purchase some more bikes right away. We love providing the free loaner bikes to our customers because it gives you free access into the city so that you may experience our beautiful little part of this world. :)

We look forward to seeing you again soon!

[UPDATE 12-7-2016]: We've purchased 2 new bikes. One of them being a Townie beach cruiser. We continue to keep our eyes open for used beach cruisers but with this being an beach destination, they are sometimes difficult to get our hands on.

Great Visit, 2016-11-07
Captain: , South Lancaster (30)

We were greeted at the fuel dock by the friendly staff who made sure we had all the help we needed. Once fueled we moved to our dock and we impressed with the community atmosphere of the marina. The floating docks are great, there are bikes to use, good clean showers and new washers and dryers in the free laundromat. We met some great people at the complimentary happy hour and look forward to our next visit. We will definitely recommend his marina to our friends.

First rate marina, 2016-10-30
Captain: , Portsmouth, NH, USA (518)

The marina facilities are supperb and the staff friendly and helful.
The town is a bit run down with many empty storefronts.

Hurricane Hole, 2016-10-24
Captain: , Senaca Lake Geneva, N.Y. (230)

Stayed Oct. 6 thru Oct.24 2016. Rode out Mathew on Dock 15. Bellingham concrete floating docks are the best! After the storm the free wine and beer was nice. Mike Torras is a great host! Dock master Ralph and manager Cindy very helpful. The Club House is a nice place to meet other boaters. Thanks BLM.

Management response:
Thanks Tom! We were glad to have had you and very happy to hear that your boat survived the hurricane so well. We all were very lucky.

However, I did notice that you gave us 4-stars but didn't mention what we need to improve on. If you can, give me a call and let me know what we can do to turn your 4-star review into a 5-star review. Most of the time, if we're doing something wrong, we don't know unless you tell us!

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Great people and location, 2016-10-14
Captain: , St. Croix (161)

At the dock through two hurricanes this year, no damage to any boats. Great staff and facilities.

Wayne, the mechanic, can generally solve any malady that has befallen your vessel. On the Marines recommendation I had a new genset installed by one of their authorised sub contractors ALL POWER PRO. Great service on time and price. Two thumbs up.

We are very grateful., 2016-10-03
Captain: , West Kelowna, British Columbia (310)

We are grateful for the care and attention after hearing of the efforts of staff, management and dockers to keep everyone and all boats safe from Hermine. Thankyou all. See you soon.
We have been leaving our boat here for the summer for the last 7 years. We look forward to coming here every year to see our friends, get the boat ready and sail south, always returning in May. The Yacht Club is a comfortable meeting place, great showers, laundry facilities, all included. Wifi is usually good from any dock. Take some time to explore the islands around here.

As good (or better) than ever, 2016-09-25
Captain: , Kemah, Tx. (145)

My wife and I spent hurricane season here in 2013 after returning from the Bahamas. Once again, we are here, since May this year. BLM has made this even better since we were here last. The facilities and the international residents make this place very unique. It truely is a liveaboard's paradise in Georgia!

Hermine was a challenge, and dock one took a beating but held up. Fuel and pumpouts were interrupted for a few days after the storm, but all is well and full services are back to normal.

No problem with's better than ever!

Wonderful, 2016-09-08
Captain: , St Thomas (30)

Staff and ownership REALLY stepped up during and in the wake of Hermine. Glad to be here!

Started out rocky but improved nicely 08/09/16, 2016-08-09
Captain: , Burns Harbor Indiana (881)

We stopped here because we had heard so many great things about the marina. Our first impression was not so good but found out there was a major turnover in management. We did see improvement when a few things were pointed out to them. The office and boaters are very nice. We enjoyed the wine happy hours on Mon. We'd. Fri.

Wothy of the 5-stars, 2016-07-12
Captain: , Charleston, SC (220)

Spent two nights this week at BLM. Stopped on recommendation of others and to take on fuel. Was very, very impressed with dockmaster John Drummond-a very polite and well spoken young man. Saved quite a bit on 900 gallons of diesel and enjoyed walking around a sleepy southern town. While the docks are a bit worn, this was more than made up for by the attention we received.

Well Run & Professional, 2016-07-06
Captain: , Pensacola (460)

We only stayed a couple of nights but will likely return on our way back south. We were impressed with how well-run the marina was; and John and Matthew were both very helpful and professional.

Home For Hurricane Season, 2016-06-30
Captain: , Nacogdoches (160)

Facilities are clean and relatively quiet considering there are train tracks next to it. Staff has been friendly and helpful, both with and without Sherry. WiFi can be a bit iffy on some of the docks and we've had trouble getting WiFi at all way out on dock 15, but don't have a problem walking to the clubhouse when necessary. This part of Brunswick is relatively quiet and removed from the strip center/mall portions of town. Still, several good places within walking distance to dine, get coffee, etc. Nice spot to call home for a few months.

Will be back again!, 2016-06-29
Captain: , Havre De Grace MD (170)

Fantastic marina. Stopped here on a delivery of a 55' vessel and they were extremely helpful. Very well protected and excellant dock hands. Free bikes at the marina for your use to bike into town. Bath house and laundry are very nice as well. I will defenitely be back again on a future trip.

Management response:
So glad you guys finally decided to give us a try! We loved having y'all and look forward to seeing you guys again in the near future. Thank you for the honest review, safe travels!

Very nice marina!, 2016-06-13
Captain: , Key Largo (5457)

I wish I could give it 4.5 stars!
Very nice, floating docks , protected, neat town, however, 2 miles to grocery store and west marine, and a dry closed town on sundays.
Dockage reasonalbe, great staff, free laundry. Easy off the ICW,
best laundry room of the two is the north brunswick yacht club building, which also has free beer and wine partys for you.
If they only had a courtesy car or transportation.
a good example for other marinas to follow.

Great Marina, 2016-06-08
Captain: , San Diego, Ca (40)

M/V Happy stopped here to ride out tropical storm Colin. Dock Master John took excellent care of us and assided us in every way possible to make our stay an enjoyable one. The marina is definately a secure place to be in a tropical storm and we will always stay here on our trips up and down the east coast.

Excellent Hurricane Hole, 2016-06-07
Captain: , Darien Ga (125)

We called 12 hours before tropical storm Colin was due to pass over us in St Simons. The staff was very responsive to our request for 2 slips, side by side, deep into the marina for the night to ride out the storm. Upon our arrival they were busy preparing the marina for a direct hit, but still met us at the dock, with smiling faces, and assisted us in everyway possible to be sure we were ready for the storm. The new dockmaster John was on top of everthing. The lack of current and wave action make this the best place in the entire region to hide from bad weather. I will make this my "Go To" safety spot in the future.

Nice Marina , 2016-06-06
Captain: , Ft Lauderdale (221)

Friendly staff and nice docks along with easy walk into town make this a good stop on the ICW especially if staging to catch the right tides for Jekyll Creek to the south or Little Mud River to Hells Gate on the north. Prices are fair and fuel is very reasonable. We didn't see much current and the dock layout is good. West Marine and a grocery about 2 miles away. Excellent Pizza at Fox's in town.

Management response:
Captain Mike, thank you for vising us and entrusting us with your boat.

We love to hear you say that you how much your enjoyed your stay. However, what we would really love to do is be able to turn your 4-star review into a 5-star review. Is there anything that we could improve for your next visit in order to get this review upgraded to 5-stars? We strive for perfection and this is the best way to let other boaters know what type of marina we are.

If anything was not 100% up to your satisfaction please call Michael Torras at 912-230-7519 and he will make sure you rectify any issues within his power.

Thank you again for visiting and we hope to see you again soon.

very nice marina, 2016-05-31
Captain: , Lighthouse Point, Fl (320)

I would highly recommend this marina. We came in, pumped out, fueled up, and then docked for the night. So nice we decided to spend 2 nights. We were here for Memorial Day and they invited us up for dinner, drinks, etc. how nice as a transient to be included at this event. The dock master and his assistant were totally doting on us as well as everyone else. Nice club, laundry, showers and complementary wine and beer.
SAFE RETURNS Lighthouse Point Fl.

GREAT MARINA, 2016-05-17
Captain: , East Falmouth, MA (1643)

The marina mgr. Sherrie is what makes this marina. It would be an excellent marina without her, but she makes it even better. She's friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. She welcomed us with a 4 page list of local town businesses and maps along with her personal reccommendations. She even provided a crab pot so we could catch some of those tasty blue and stone crabs.
April 2016. Sherrie is gone! Stayed here overnight after a late arrival so I didn't get to do much to rate. I wanted to fuel up when they first opened but the new manager, the owner's son was late getting to work. However, he had an excuse as he stopped for some bluebury muffins so that made it OK. I fueled and got under way with no problem. The only CAUTION I have is you need to be aware that there is a credit card processing fee of 4%. I didn't see any signs, nor was I told about this upfront. When I questioned it after the fact I was told it is shown on AC. Indeed it is, under payment methods. Not readily apparent. So, be advised.

Brunswick winter, 2016-05-17
Captain: , Crown point, in (70)

At Ease returned to BLM for the second time this past December because of our very positive experience from the first time. In terms of location and a well run facility it was an easy choice to stay during the winter months before continuing northward on the loop in April. We made some great acquaintances, not the least of whom was of the most able and colorful dock masters that we've encountered in a year and a half of traveling on the water. Competent, no nonsense, and customer oriented are some of the descriptives I'd use for her. To say that we were surprised and dismayed to learn that she was fired just before we left is a gross understatement. Sherie had been a staunch advocate of the marina and gives us cause to question the direction of the facility going forward.

Management response:
Mr. Donofrio,

We are all very sorry that we had to let our long-time Dockmaster go. She loved this marina and did her job very well. However, there were things that were going on behind the scenes that were simply not acceptable of an employee; including direct violations of multiple company policies and procedures.

During on phone conversation you told me that we have a "great marina" and that you are still considering leaving your boat here full time however this review is based on an "emotional response" to our recent staff changes.

We do hope that you will give us a chance to show you that our new staff is just as good, and better, than our previous staff. I personally promise you that.

Come see me when you get here next time and I'll introduce you around so that you can see in person for yourself.

Thanks again,

Michael Torras

Great, family owned marina, 2016-05-07
Captain: , warm waters (828)

Great fuel price, helpful and kind staff, fun back scratcher freebie at check in (we use ours!). Plenty of water for our 4' draft. They offer free PBR on tap in the lounge and donuts in the office. We were there on a Sunday; everything in town was closed, including the CVS, so we can't address things to do.

Most Welcoming, 2016-05-06
Captain: , Pensacola, Florida (90)

This marina is the finest we have stayed at, we were welcomed by John and Cindy at the dock, they completely explained all the benefits of the marina. We went to a free wine tasting at the beautiful club house, met a lot of sailors, and enjoyed the grape and beer. It was very clean and everything worked. Met the general manager, Michael, and he could not have been a better host. The muffins in the morning delivered to the boat was icing on the cake.

Management response:
It really was a pleasure having you guys visit us! Hope you can come back and see us again soon.

We loved this place.Could have stay a lot longer.Good place to stay a long time. Will come back.
Stay on dock 10.We have 7 foot draft arrived low water no problems.

Management response:
So nice having you guys!! Please let us know when you're ready to return and we'll make sure to save a spot for ya. Safe travels!

Everything is nice, 2016-05-01
Captain: , Buffalo (832)

We came in on a Sunday afternoon and so did everyone else. We were third in line for fuel so we were given a nice slip for the night and took them up on the free laundry. We will fuel up in the morning at 8 am; hopefully we will be first in line. Great wifi signal with a booster.

Management response:
We're glad that you got a chance to see our marina! Hopefully you'll be able to stay longer next time. Safe travels!

Great Marina, great staff, 2016-05-01
Captain: , Grand Rivers, Ky (2206)

4-24-16 This was our first visit to Brunswick, very courteous and helpful staff, nice town and restaurants, awesome yacht club with drink specials. Clean restrooms and showers and laundry room. Awesome fuel price $1.75 gal diesel

Good Marina, Good Staff, 2016-04-27
Captain: , Southport, NC (637)

All as previously reported. Better plan on the trip to Win-Dixie for provisioning. Adams market is marginal. Liquor Store accross the street from Adams is ok.

Great services and very competitive pricing, 2016-04-26
Captain: , Iuka, MS (1130)

Easy in and out. Possible to fuel, pump out, and stay all in the same slip--just let them know what services you need. Free laundry! Town is improved, too since 2 years ago.

Management response:
Hey Captain, thanks for coming and staying with us! What we have done differently this year is lowering the price of our diesel low enough to increase the amount of traffic the marina sees. This has accomplished quite a few things for us. Firstly, it has encouraged past boaters to come and give us a second look to see all the vast improvements we have made. Secondly, we have seen a direct correlation between the increased quantity of fuel sold and transient boaters.

We have found that most of the time, when someone comes in for fuel, they end up staying at least one night with us. About half of those that stay one night end up extending their stay to 2 or more nights because they find our marina so relaxing and accommodating. Then, most of those customers end up returning to us and staying for long term storage!

Again, thank you for staying with us and we hope to see you again very soon.

Been here before - will be again, 2016-04-16
Captain: , Solomons, MD (271)

We arrived with fourteen other boats, all needing various combinations of pump-out, fuel and docking. Don't ask me how Sherry and Cindy did it but they got all of us taken care of and tucked into our slips in prompt order. Without Sherry on the radio directing traffic it would have been bedlum. The Wednesday evening party at the club house was very nice and offered a great opportunity to meet the boaters we had heard all day on the radio. Price of fuel is fantastic. The only thing keeping this from a fifth star is the lack of proximity to a grocery store.

Management response:
Thank you for visiting us! If you take a look in your welcome packet that you should have been given upon your arrival you will find a walking map of the area around the marina. Here is a link to it:

Adam's Grocery is only 3-blocks away which, if you use any one of our on-site free rental bikes, you could be there in under 5 mins! :)

Come back and see us again soon.

Great Marina anf fun people, 2016-04-16
Captain: , Chesapeake Beach, MD 20732 (200)

Great marina with good diesel prices and easy pumpout. Fun ladies running the dock and iffice and where else can you get free beer?
The town is a little iffy not much going on with lots of closed stores but I'd return to the marina again.
They gave us a back schracker which is gret as I already have a hat.

Brunswick Landing Has A Lot To Offer, 2016-04-11
Captain: , Hobe Sound, Florida (480)

This easy-in, easy-out marina has an infectious community atmosphere that is hard to predict or explain. Everyone is smiling, and everything you might need is there or nearby. Free laundry, free bicycle use, free yacht club with free beer every day and free wine three days a week. Sherrie well knows how to get you into the dock, tie up the boat and get you fueled with a minimum of fuss and runs the marina like she loves it, which she does. Clean facilities and very reasonable rates on dockage and fuel. Only reason it's not a five is because there's no on site restaurant or store, but it's a fairly short walk to town.

Management response:
Captain John, thank you for staying with us. We enjoying having you around and hope to see you back again soon.

As for the on-site restaurant, for now, we really think that it would be a shame to compete with all of the lovely places to eat in downtown Brunswick that are only 400 feet away. And don't forget that almost all of them offer exclusive discounts for Brunswick Landing Marina customers!

Michael Torras

A wonderful marina!, 2016-04-10
Captain: , Jupiter, FL (586)

When you arrive here call ahead on VHF 16. The very capable and affable Dockmaster Cheri will respond. Cheri will give you clear and specific directions to your slip. Be sure to follow her simple instructions! Cheri is the linchpin of this marina and one of many reasons why so many cruisers come here again and again.

WiFi, laundry, and water are all free of charge. Monday, Wednesday and Friday are social evenings at the clubhouse. FREE wine and beer!! Beer is free every day at the clubhouse. Potluck dinner on sunday evening.

Short walk into town to delightful shops and restaurants.

Many cruisers arrive here for a stopover and end up staying for weeks. Now that we have been here, I know why!

Management response:

It was great talking to you Friday night, you're a wise man. And, we're very glad you finally were able to check out our marina! We promise to take good care of your boat while you are gone.

Come back and see us soon!

Great Stop, 2016-04-04
Captain: , Cape May, NJ (130)

This marina was a great stop for us. Staff is very helpful. We stayed here 4 nights. We needed an evaluation of our inverter and the marine tech Phil was excellent and reasonable. The only negative is dock A is a very long way from the laundry, but it is free and high Efficiency machines. They offer free beer 24/7 and wine a couple nights of the week. This is a good spot to wait out weather, bathrooms are clean. The town offers some restaurants and bars in walking distance. There are also free loaner bikes. If you pay cash it's alittle cheaper. All in all a very nice matrna and I would definitely stop again.

Management response:
Captain Frank, we loved having you stay with us and we are glad you enjoyed all of the amenities we have to offer.

Dock A (aka Dock 1) is actually the closest dock to the laundry facilities of any of the docks. There are 5 washers and dryers inside the club house at the head of Dock 1. In the Welcome Packet that every new boater receives is a walking map of the marina property. You can see the map here:

If you look on the map, everywhere there is a lounge, there are washers and dryers.I am terribly sorry if no one told you that!

We hope you'll come stay with us again soon.

Fantastic Marina!, 2016-03-07
Captain: , Landenberg (35)

We came here in Nov 2015, anticipating a weekend stay. We loved it so much, we stayed 6 weeks! And now returning north, we find ourselves here once again. The access is easy from the ICW. The docks are first rate. The fuel is fresh, the showers and boaters lounges are great, and the free laundry and WiFi are wonderful. And what's not to like about complementary happy hours three nights a week, and a keg of beer on tap in the boaters lounge 24/7?? But of course, brick and mortar are not what make a facility's the staff that make this place a gem. If you've never been here before, you are likely to first encounter the "heart and soul" of Brunswick Landing Marina on your approach to your slip. The voice on your VHF..."Miss Sherrie", will give you what seems like stern and unforgiving directions to your pier and slip. But know that her bark is much, much worse than her bite! This lady is what makes this marina a five star destination. "Miss Sherri", along with her office mate, Cindi, are there to ensure you have everything you need while at their facility. They are quick to suggest a restaurant or a nearby source for supplies. They will personally meet you and assist with tie ups at your slip, a pump out, or fuel. And they are not hesitant to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The location is 5 star. The facilities are 5 star. Miss Sherri and Cindi are 12 star.

Management response:
Gary, we loved having you back again and we hope to continue seeing you for many years to come. Thank you all the kind words. :)

Friendly Marina Crew, 2016-03-02

A jewel on the AICW, 2016-02-26
Captain: , BCYC Winnipeg Beach MB. (10)

Stopped in Brunswick Landing Marina on the suggestion of a couple of delivery captains we met in Florida (Bruce & Billy). This was a great stop. Waited out another storm & high winds and were bounced a fair amount on the end dock but secure. The staff are exceptional. Sherri is a Georgia Peach at heart. Very friendly & helpful. Cheapest fuel. Town merchants give discounts to Marina patrons. Free beer daily and wine at happy hour three times a week. Highly recommend stopping.

First time stop, 2016-02-16
Captain: , Savannah, GA (330)

Came in on Valendine's Day. Party for the boaters in progress in one of the two Boater's lounges. Noticed computers, LARGE capacity washer and dryers (free), 24/7 beer on tap and room to throw one heck of a pot-luck meal in the boater's lounge building. Plenty of paved parking in front of each dock ramp if you wanted to make this marina a long term stay. Fuel is the best price we've found. Deep water access to the marina. We could go on and on. Just trust this old Sea Captain. Pull in and enjoy your visit!

Management response:
We appreciate the honest review you old Sea Captain! Hopefully you'll come back and see us soon Mark. Safe travels.

Great transit fuel stop., 2016-02-11

Wish All Marinas......, 2016-01-12
Captain: , Philadelphia, Pa. (201)

There is so much to say about this Marina that I really don't know where to begin. So I've decided to break it down similarly the way anchorages are rated.

Staff: Five Stars, Sherry and Cindy are the best. They are completely in control and are willing to help make your stay the Best possible.

Facilities: Five Stars, Very solid floating docks, good power and WiFi. Good depths for deep draft vessels very protected from all winds except south winds. But the only dock that really is exposed is dock 1. Very little current ( mostly tidal) makes docking very easy.

Bathrooms: Five Stars, the bathrooms here are just about the best we've seen since leaving Delaware. Large showers, plenty of hot water and did I mention A/C? It was warm while we stayed here and the A/C was great. Great water pressure and the cleaning staff did a great job keeping them clean.

Laundry: Five Stars, free washers and dryers at 2 locations. Did I mention they were Free.

Club House: Five Stars, if you are a social person and like to meet interesting people this is the place. They have Free beer on tap 24/7 in the Club House. Every Mon/Weds/Fri they have Free wine from 5 to 7 along with the free beer. On the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month they have a pot luck dinner at the Club House. We were there over Christmas, and the Marina hosted a Christmas Dinner providing the meat while the boaters provided the side dishes. We even had a visit from Santa Claus!

Fuel: Five Stars, this Marina has the best prices anywhere for Diesel Fuel.

Provisioning: Five Stars, Brunswick is a Great community and the towns people could not have been friendlier. Plenty of restaurants, hardware store, and even a West Marine within walking distance.

There is just no reason to go anywhere else. We will definitely be returning on our push back north.

The Best in Georgia, 2016-01-11
Captain: , Lizella GA (1826)

I have stayed at many of the major marinas in Georgia over the past few years and this marina is the best for a number of reasons. It is the friendliest marina due to the free beer every night and wine three days a week that encourages the guests to go to the clubhouse every night. It is a great way to make friends. They also have music night and pot luck dinners.
Another great thing, unlike other marinas in Georgia, this marina has almost no current even though there is a big tide making it easy to dock and undock your boat. The ladies, Sherri and Cindy in the dockmasters office are the best. this will be my home marina from now on.

We're home!, 2016-01-01
Captain: , Florida (50)

After buying our first boat in NY we're finally home in Brunswick. We looked at a boat here and knew this would be where would dock our new boat once we found it. We have been here several weeks now and it feels like home. Sherri and Cindy here at the marina are great. Facilities are clean, great washer and dryers that are free and other friendly boaters make this marina great. We love it!

Management response:
We're so glad to welcome you guys to the Brunswick Landing Marina family!

Thanks Sherie for the hospitality. We had a great time. As world circumnavigators we appreciated the very fair transient rates and ammenities available.eep up the good work

A must return location in the spring, 2015-12-15
Captain: , Deltaville, VA (30)

It was our first visit to Brunswick Landing (November 25 - December 10 - longer than expected - mechanical issues, of course!) , and we will definitely go back. The dockmaster and staff are amazing, and the facilities are comfortable, clean, and geared to boaters - longer term liveaboards as well as cruisers. Free beer - free wine - free laundry - free bikes - grilles at each dock - friendly people - easy access - great location - reasonably priced - social events - knitting group - the list goes on and on. Check it out!

Friendliest Marina, 2015-12-13
Captain: , Bristol, RI (782)

This marina makes every effort to make you feel welcome. They have good docks, reasonable rates for dockage and elect., free laundry, clean facilities, free beer daily and wine three days a week, free bicycles for use and more. People are friendly and love to meet. Brunswick has its high and low points. Lots of empty stores in what was obviously a more vital town in the past. Nevertheless, great yard and ideal for leaving boat if you need to travel home or elsewhere.

Excellent Marina, 2015-12-05

We have used this marina twice. First time, anchored out, visiting friends by dinghy. The next season, we docked here for a month. The staff are professional and the facilities first rate. The Main Street shops are a short walk, and offer a variety of restaurants and shops, with special Friday night open house and street entertainment. The docks are spread out along the waterfront and the restrooms and showers may be quite a walk, but there is parking right at the head of each dock, as is Wi Fi.
There is uniformed patrol on the grounds. It's a great place to stop if you are passing through as well as a great place to leave your boats out of season. There is also a large live aboard community enjoying a large lounge with regular movies, wine tastings and parties courtesy of the management. Enjoy your stay.

Captain: , Leamington, Ontario (710)

Great facilities, nice floating docks. Very nice clubhouse, great laundry facilities. Close to good restaurants, fresh seafood outlets. Newer shopping area fairly close by. Knowledgeable staff, friendly. Noseeums can be a pain, but skinsosoft works great. A lot of friendly boaters from all over. There are a ton of marina sponsored activities, including free beer, wine parties, and potluck dinners. This is THE place to be!

Management response:
Captain Gunk, we love and miss ya! Can't wait to see you guys on your next visit.

Captain: , Springfield, VA (130)

This is a marina that is working very hard to get your business and to make you happy. The fuel price is the best around, the dock price will beat anything to the south, the staff is very professional and welcoming and the various specials are amazing. From free wine and beer to top quality presentations at their yacht club, there is always something going on. Give it a try!

Management response:
Glad to hear how much you like the marina Bob! We hope to keep seeing you around for years to come.

Lots of free stuff but VERY busy, 2015-11-23
Captain: , Marathon, FL (496)

This is a great marina depending on your priorities. Like most reviewers have said, there is lots of free stuff (laundry, beer and wine for happy hour, bicycles, etc.).

Just a few minor issues for us -

Lots of birds (could be smooth-billed Ani) especially at the north end of the marina. Difficult to keep the boat clean.

We've had spotty wi-fi the past few days. This might just be a short-term problem.

This marina is in a nice location being just a short walk to town. Makes it nice for walks and easy eating out.

Management response:
Hey Bill,

I'm glad that we were about to talk about this at the wine party on Friday night. Sherrie told me that she got you moved to Dock 7, which is absolutely the most coveted dock in the entire marina. We hope that it suits you and your wife's needs satisfactorily.

I will be at the wine party tonight and hopefully will have a chance to discuss any further concerns you may have.with you. Like we discussed on Friday, we're in the customer service business and want to do everything we can to keep you a happy customer!

See ya tonight,

Michael Torras

Very nice facilities, Good Fuel prices, decent monthly rates., 2015-11-21
Captain: , Chicago, Racine, Fish Creek,Wi (3189)

Good price on diesel and easy docking with wide slips for transients.
Marina is large so having loaner bikes a plus to get to other facilities. Very nice welcome package with maps and lists of what you need when in town. Clean facilities, three sets of them, ample parking, close to town, & nice lounge. Docks kept in very good condition. Lots of nice friendly people in the marina and lots of activities to join in supported by the marina make this a special place. Pet friendly and not much current to deal with. Will be back in the future.

Awesome Marina, 2015-11-19
Captain: , Winter Garden, Fl (2391)

We stopped here expecting to stay a week or two - two months later we pulled out - reluctantly.

The Pros:

Great marina staff - very responsive to the boaters
Great facility - floating concrete docks, good power/water
Free laundry - not just 1 machine...5 each - large loads
Great little town...even without a car
Free loaner bikes to see even more of the town or shop
Social activities encouraged & sponsered -
Free wine social on Mon, Wed, Friday
Free beer 24/7
Great fuel prices -

Long walk between docks to office or facilities depending on what dock you get

Loud, close train throughout the day - not at night

Overall it's an easy decision to stay here...did I mention the great staff...Cheri will make your day!

Management response:
We loved having you and you wife, Anne, stay with us the past two months! Thanks for the honest review. We look forward to seeing you guys again soon. Safe travels!

good summer harbor, 2015-11-17
Captain: , Seabrook, TX (280)

Very protected from wind & waves. Deep channels all the way in. Marina is showing some age. Wood at edge of floating dock was very soft. Concrete Walkways are narrow and have good pilings. Slips are for two boats and missing a center piling at opening, no good way to pull boat away from pier for hurricane protection other than to the boat next to you. Staff states they have NEVER been hit by a hurricane. July 2015 diesel was under $2, pure gas about $3.50.
Staff very knowledgable, some can be a bit "gruff" but it appears to be just for show. Take the time to be pleasant and things work out. Two bath house/laundry buildings about 3/4 mile apart. Can be a bit of a walk if on pier halfway between. The list of FREE, no cost, things is great: washers and dryers (current models and very clean), beer (cold keg at club house, open pretty much all the time), wine at evening GAM(great and meet), can be over thirty cruisers, loaner bicycles. A few restaurants and small grocery store within walking distance. West marine a few miles away. Publix and Walmart need car.
Boat yard on site with travel lift.

Left boat there for 3 months while visiting family. Would recommend highly.

Management response:
Captain Mike, thank you for your patronage and entrusting us with your boat.

Being the largest marina on the coast of Georgia does come with its own set of problems. The marina has three bath houses in total. One at Dock 1, one between Docks 9 and 10 and the other across from Dock 13. Even though at times I know it can seem like 3/4 of a mile it is really only 1800 ft (1/3 mile) from the first to the second bath house. I happen to know this off the top of my head because I just measured it for Comcast yesterday.

I know that this can get to be a long walk, that's why we provide ample free rental bicycles with attached baskets to be used at your leisure, anytime you'd like.

And you're right, the last hurricane to hit Brunswick, Georgia was in 1979 (12 years before we opened) and even that only caused very minimal damage. (See

We love to hear you say that you "would highly recommend" us to other boaters, however, what we would really love to do is be able to turn your 4-star review into a 5-star review.

I don't want to leave, 2015-11-15
Captain: , Pensacola (10)

Sadly, this is my first marina and first rating, so there are now big shoes to fill. First of all Brunswick Landing Marina has an outstanding staff. They work hard to fulfill the needs of the boater. They're gracious and provide great service. The managment provides a "Happy Hour" Monday-Wednesday and Friday. There are a number of brand new washer dryers on premises that are provided for free.

As far as security is concerned, they have security patrols on the grounds. Who also provide a great amount of professionalism. Yes, tthere are some amenities that they do not have, like a pool; however, with the service they offer, the quality of the grounds and the professionalism of the staff, well who cares then.

Brunswick Landing Marina has a lot of room to manuver in. Wide dock space and transit into the channel. Couldn't be happier, it's affordable, clean and well maintained. I don't think I will be so lucky elseware.

Great Place to stay!, 2015-11-14
Captain: , Joplin, MO (90)

We came in planning to stay a few weeks in August and left in November three months later! Sherry and Cindy go out of their way to accommodate. We were there for the Labor Day Celebration, the Halloween party and many other get togethers. We enjoyed them all! Also a great place to be during hurricane season. Free laundry, free wine, free beer! What more can we say! We'll be back! Thanks guys for a great summer! Mike and Twyla aboard NautiNell

Best Marina in Georgia for long and short stays., 2015-11-04
Captain: , London (709)

Having stayed in this marina both long term and for short term I have to say it is unbeatable, both on price and facilities. Free beer, Free wine good social life and friendly people.

The dockmaster Sherrie is an ace for this place and she never forgets you once you have been there.

Only a short walk into town with some great restarants (Sherrie will give you a list and a map)

We happily leave our boat there for long periods, good security, good electricity and Oh! did I mention the free beer and wine.
The diesel is a good price also.

We have a Nordhavn 62 and there is plently of depth and room for us. The location is just above the St Marys cutoff point for insurrance during hurricane season, so this is as far as you need to go to stay insured.

Make sure you visit this marina and say hello to Cherrie for us.

Management response:
We love you guys! Come back and see us soon. <3

Great Marina, 2015-10-27
Captain: , Gainesville (40)

We stayed here overnight a couple of weeks ago. It was very windy and we were a little concerned, but the staff gave us explicit instructions for docking and told us not to worry. It was a piece of cake thanks to their help! It is a wonderful facility with nice docks, very easy to find your assigned slip, nice restrooms, and great internet. Check-in was great with an info packet about the marina, town, restaurants, etc. Although we did not take advantage of, there is free laundry and regular socials and get togethers. Town and several restaurants are within walking distance. Good fuel prices as well. We could easily spend a few months here!

Always nice to come back, 2015-10-24
Captain: , Ft. Lauderdale (1244)

October 2015
Sherry runs a great operation. Fuel prices are among the best on the East Coast. Always a pleasure to stop.

First the negatives: 1) long walk from high numbered piers to the office on pier 1. 2) Water has some sulpher content...prefill filter needed. 3) Run down Brunswick is a hike. 4) really need a car

CAUTION!!!!! If you rent a car from Enterprise and return it on a weekend, leaving keys and contract in drop box...check your bill!!! "As a matter of policy" they charged 2 extra days rent because they were not there to check it in.

Now the positives: 1) great dock staff...friendly and helpful. "We appreciate your business" is their motto. 2) nice, friendly live aboards keep an eye on your boat while you are away. 3) excellent fuel prices. 4) well protected marina. good place to ride out a storm.

Management response:
Captain Malcom! Thank you for being a continued customer of ours. We love our return boaters.

Being the largest marina on the coast of Georgia does have some negatives that come with all of the positives. One of those is that the marina spans over a 1/2 mile of water front. The cure to this issue we have come up with is to offer free rental bikes available for marina customer use at any time of the day. All you must do is call Sherrie in the Dock Office and she'll be glad to set you up with one anytime. They all come equipped with front baskets for helping carry groceries and other goods.

Thank you for being apart of the Brunswick Landing Marina family!

Still one of the best, 2015-10-23
Captain: , Destin Florida (430)

We've been here for several months now. We've never loitered in one place for this long. We just never wanted to leave. This is one of our favorites marinas. Great facility, great people, great rates and shopping within a reasonable distance. Does not get much better than this. And its a nice little hurrican hole too. The only thing that would make it complete would be a pump out station at the docks, but thats a minor inconvience. They do offer a pump out service.

Easy access, long finger piers and Sherry knows here stuff. It's location is perfect for the insurance obligation many of us endure regarding Florida and the hurricane season.

Great Cruisers Marina, 2015-10-22
Captain: , Tipers Creek (56)

First time at BLM and a very nice surprise. Finally, a well run, clean and organised marina with cruisers in mind. Efficient staff, clean showers, great swap library, clubhouse with free draft beer plus other amenities as well as cocktail hour with wine provided. Lots of cruisers to meet and greet. Brunswick is a short walk away and has a number of restaurants as well as a great old fashioned hardware with everything you might need. We will return.

A Marina and a Yacht Club, 2015-10-20
Captain: , St Pete Beach, Florida (278)

If you love the yacht club life, and who doesn't, BLM is for you. The facilities are excellent including nice bath facilities, picnic area and grill on every dock and a long list of social activities. Free bicycles are available. It is a short walk to downtown, and several restaurants , theater, CVS, post office. coffee shops and latin grocery store. The library offers free yoga on Monday and has a large used book store.

Good base to explore the barrier islands and Savannah.
There is no another marina like this. A wonderful experience thanks to the active owners, staff and enthusiastic resident boaters.

Say What? Huh?, 2015-10-18
Captain: , Hollywood (462)

Unless it happened in the past 10 days I don't get it. We are 65' of Hatteras motor yacht on our wayy back south after cruising to the N.C./Va line. The marina is secure and offers reasonable service; everything else stops there. The town makes Detroit look like a boom town. With the exception of a pizza place, dessert shop and Thai restaurant downtown is either vacant or about to be. There are so many empty stores they are presently converting downtown into a movie set for a major production. The dock office has a sign No charge for packages; they charge $10 apiece after two days and add 5% to any payments made with credit cards for everything. Oh, and electric is $10. for 50, not $4. Sorry to say this, we expected better.

Management response:
Mr. Carner, we are very sorry to hear that we didn't live up to your expectations. Recently we have had to overcome an issue with our customers ordering very large packages and then leaving them for weeks, or even months, at a time in the dock office. This has caused numerous issues seeing as our dock office is so tiny and charging for extended storage of packages is the only way we have figured out to handle it.

Downtown Brunswick was hit hard by the recession but we are rebounding and making progress every single day. However, on Sundays most of the stores are closed which may have been why you had the experience that you did. Again, we're terribly sorry that you left unhappy and will do everything in our power to make sure that your next visit is a visit worth 5-stars.

Brunswick Landing Marina is a terrific place to overnight or hold up for months!, 2015-10-01
Captain: , Grand Rivers KY (10)

We chose BLM based on recommendations from other cruisers and we couldn't be more pleased. The staff, Cindy and Sherrie, are incredibly helpful without being intrusive and we appreciate them. On MTW fellow cruisers gather at the yacht club (no membership needed) for social conversation and free wine. On Saturdays the marina furnishes free beer on tap on a serve yourself basis. Old town Brunswick is two blocks away from the marina and is home to a number of artisan eateries which provides wide variety of food fare. If we had one request it would be for the marina to inatall a dog run/park area for our boat dogs. Brunswick Marina is a first class marina and we recommend them for your cruising plans.

Management response:
Thanks for staying with us. We're glad you enjoyed all of our amenities while you were here. We have discussed the option of having a fenced in area for dogs to play be we thought it better to let them roam around freely on the 29 available grassed acres we have at the marina instead of being fenced into a small area.

We hope that you'll come stay with us again soon!

Thank you.

Great, friendly place!, 2015-09-26
Captain: , new orleans (40)

We stayed at Brunswick Landing Marina for three nights -September 22-25. Really nice place with lots of amenities. Cindy and Sherri, the Dockmasters, were very friendly and helpful. Had a packet of information on the town, places that gave 10% discounts if you showed your key card, and maps of the area. On our second day, the wind blew our strainer basket for the A/C off the dock...never to be seen again. Sherri got on the phone and found one in stock and had it shipped overnight to us. We had it by the next day at 10 AM and were able to leave as scheduled. Great lounges with free wine nights and free beer on Saturday. Clean wash room (free!) and bikes available to use. We would recommend this marina for a nice break heading North or South on the ICW!

Eleanor Joyce gives BLM, Inc. five thumbs up., 2015-07-27
Captain: , South Bristol, Maine (190)

Sherry, Mike, and the Brunswick Landing crew gave the Eleanor Joyce crew (Ben, Emmi, Forrest, Nicole) from Maine a warm welcome after our long sail down the eastern seaboard in the wintertime. Truly a great community, a nice walkable town. Favorite highlights were definitely the complimentary bikes for grocery runs, the wine socials, the air-conditioned captain's lounge, and of course the devoted employees and personable manager. Concrete docks are in awesome repair -- minimum price to tie up is 35' ($12/month) but that didn't disway us at 32' from paying a few extra dollars for the palatial comforts they had for these weary travelers. Keeping our boat here for the hurricane season, couldn't be happier. Thanks!

Management response:
We miss you guys! The chess board is still here waiting on you to take another whippin'. Ms. Eleanor Joyce is being taken good care of while you are away, no worries!

A wonderful place to stay!, 2015-07-20
Captain: , Lakeland (997)

We loved this place! If we were liveaboards, this would be the place to dock your boat. But, we're cruisers and this was a temporary stop back in early May of this year.. The dockmaster and staff were among the most friendly and helpful anywhere. The facilites are superb. Free laundry! Free wine and snack gatherings! We'd definitely stop again. Brunswick was a lovely town, although it is sad to see so many empty storefronts downtown. We enjoyed several nice restaurants, but there was no Brunswick Stew to be found!

Management response:
It was a pleasure to have you and we sure hope to see you again soon!

PS: We'll work on the Brunswick Stew thing for you. :)

Captain: , Sarasota, FL (270)

Outstanding place. All personnel, from management to staff, truly aim to please. They obviously want to be the best marina out there! Sherrie (dockmaster) provided the most explicit instructions to locate the marina, leaving no doubt in the mind of a new boater who's never been there before. Sherrie's sense of nautical humor is nonpareil. Free laundry; free library; free wine parties (with libations served up personally by the owner's grandson). I've never seen such a neat place as this. Stayed five days, and would have been happy to stay longer.

People, Personel ,attitude, solid floating docks, great price on fuel, 2015-05-24
Captain: , Montreal Qc., Canada (100)

We had reserved in at Fernandina marina, but were favored with good currents so we pushed on to Brunswick with the hope of a spot and to buy Fuel at Ocean Petrolium...cheapest we could find, and a great place right next to Brunswick Landing Marina.
Called Brunswick and asked if they had a spot for us as we would be comming in late Friday night.
Poaitive quick reply, no hesitation, we arrived around 4:30 on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Sheri had 4 boats to tie up and we waited our turn, only 10 min and we were being called on the radio to come on in. She was running around making everyone happy the same time a subcontracting crew were adding the final ?? touches to a bunch of preventative maintenace work they were doing on the diesel pumps as The marina just had the gas ones fixed . They left without completeing their work properly and will be back only Tuesday after the long weekend.
We were too late to schedule Ocean Petrolium and with a max 250 gals it would have been a pain for them to get someone in on the weekend, so we asked Sheri and she said it should be good to go later that night and I found their price almost at par to my prefered Ocean Petrolium. We decided to stay two nights and the next day Sheri had a real hard time getting the diesel to pump properly. With her "get it done attitude "and hours of trial and error she never gave up . She did get our 256 gals into our boat as we went into town and used the free laundry.
We really wanted to get fuel there as we wished to continue north on Sunday am. She said we would get it and she made it happen.
I read some of the past posts going way back and it seems there are a couple of negatives vastly outweighed by all the positives, and our first visit was to a good marina with great staff, even if we only saw and met one of them, her dedication to her job and to customer satisfaction is an example for all in the marina buisness.
Sheri ,Thank you for doing what you said you were going to do, doing it well, and letting us feel how much you love your work.
We will be back

Management response:

Thank you so much for the compliments! You two are the ones that need to be thanked for all your patience and willingness to help me. You're every marina's idea of the ideal boater. Hope to see you both again soon.

Thanks, Sherrie.

Great Marina, 2015-05-21
Captain: , Bethel (130)

Brunswick Landing Marina and its two dockmasters are great. The marina is in a closed-end cove well-protected from every direction. The marina offers lots of services, including free laundry machines, free bicycles (in good shape), and wine gatherings three evenings a week. It would be hard to improve upon this marina.

Bigger than it looks, 2015-05-20
Captain: , Grand Haven, MI (684)

When I called the marina on the radio I was given specific information on how to get to and into my slip and asked if I had questions. With two ladies on the dock and my wife handling lines I was directed into the slip without a problem. We found Sherry and Cindy very welcoming, knowledgable, friendly, and organized. They had everything in a packet and ready to go.
Fuel prices were the best $2.55 gallon for Diesal. The line for gas to the dock was broken, but the marina would arrange for gasoline if you needed.
We stayed over a weekend and had time to walk around a bit. I spent a couple of mornings having coffee with Sherry and she gave me a insiders view of the area.
Laundry is FREE. That almost makes it worth the stay. There is a farmers market close and we purchased some of Earlene's Crab Cakes, and vegetables. Downtown we had Pizza at Arte's Wood Fired Pizza, and desert from Pam Pam's Cupcakes. The downtown area has a number of park settings on the main street that make it easy to walk an old dog.
Enjoyed our stay and will return.

We spent two nights here so we could tour the town. The marina is first rate and very clean. The ladies who run the place are professionals and know what they are doing. Fuel prices are very good. The town is a little run down with some vacant buildings but they are working on bringing it back to life.

I would give the marina five stars if they had a pool and loaner vehicle. They do have loaner bicycles.

No gas available, 2015-05-14
Captain: , myrtle beach, sc (40)

Stayed May 9th. Expected gas available as advertised. Informed the gas hose sprung a leak and may not be repaired since they don't sell much gas, just diesel

Management response:
Dear Captain Sean R,

We regret that you had a problem buying gasoline at Brunswick Landing Marina on May 9, 2015 however there was a miscommunication. Boats that use gasoline as well as gasoline sales are very important to the marina. We had to temporarily shut down our gasoline pumps to avoid the possibility of a leak. It will be repaired within the next two weeks and we hope by next week. In the meantime, we have arranged for an alternative source for gasoline sales at our fuel dock.

As always, we want you to know that you and your business are very important to us and we hope that you will come back and visit us soon.

We had not been here for four years and returned for the very competitive diesel prices. What a good decision. The marina is clean, well protected from the east, and staff knowledgable and very helpful both berthing and fueling (diesel price is VERY competitive). Bikes available for use though we did not take advantage.

We had a blast at Typsy McSway's restuarant. Listen to Brittany the bartender for her excellent suggestions on their menu. Down from the marina are the fishing boat docks where you can get fresh fish and shrimp. We will be back in the fall.

The closest grocery store is only 0.3 miles away.We have made a proximity map since you have left to make it easier for boaters to find supplies. These maps are given to each boater now during check-in! You can see it online by visiting: Thank you for helping us with that.

clean complete facility at reasonable price, 2015-04-04
Captain: , West Gardiner, ME (735)

Enjoyed this stop. Friendly competent staff, free laundry, extremely clean, free bikes (only two). Biggest book exchange. Great city to bike through to see big homes and beautiful trees. Marina is long, but three bath houses all with laundry. Any Marina building a bathroom should study this facility. They know how to set up for transients. Bought an $8 taxi to the 1.8 mile trip to west/Winn Dixie, then $ 8 back. Loved basil Thai downtown.

Management response:
Captain Mike, thank you for your patronage! We certainly love seeing new faces and hearing about your travels.

Shelter From The Storm, 2015-03-19
Captain: , Tacoma (10)

While supporting the delivery of two brand new 85' MkVI Navy Patrol Boats from Jacksonville to Norfolk, I was asked to find suitable moorage. The crew reported sustained winds and seas from a Nor'Easter that was sitting along the coast. The initial plan was to transit to Wilimington, NC, however due to the storm the crew elected to seek a safe haven. The Brunswick Landing Marina was a perfect deep water faciility. The staff was supportive and helpful; the docks were in good shape, the restrooms were clean and the vessels were secure. The only drawback was that aside from a couple B&B's most of the "hotels" were several miles away. We were prepared with vans to transport the crews, otherwise you'd need a cab. West Marine is within walking distance.

Management response:
Hey hey Captain, we first want to say thank you for entrusting us with you vessel. We know that it means the world to you and we are glad that we are able to provide you with a sense of comfort knowing that it will be safe at Brunswick Landing Marina.

6 months dockage from July to December 2014, 2015-02-25
Captain: , Charleston (20)

From: Capt Michel Picard of S/V Wind Affair.
For you knowledge, I have more than 12 000 nautical miles behind me. Including of course Canada, west and east coat of USA, even the Houston area, Hispaniola, Puerto Rico, Virgin Island and all the island in the Caribbean's. And the Australian West Coast.
I came to Brunswick Landing Marina on a referral from a Montreal friend.
I made a reservation well in advance to dock Wind Affair for 6 months.
- I was expected and upon my arrival, help were there to help me tie up my boat.
- Went to the office, asked for any available car with drop off at either Savanah or Jacksonville FL airport. The manager of the marina told me right away, that nothing was available. But kindly she offer me a lift for 95$ since she had business to do in Jacksonville.
- Went back on the boat, call local Entreprise Car Rental, got a car, not the the one I had chosen, a Nissan pickup plated in Arkansas. 42$ including the drop of at Jacksonville Airport.
- Wanted someone to check up my sailboat once a month, got a step by step word document with pictures showing the procedure. Meet with the boatyard-marina owner. Explain everything. Take 20-30 minutes to run it. Got a proposal at $160 per hour.I tried to explain that we were not discussing fixing problems, that I could deal with any issues on a timely basis. Answer, nonnegotiable. So I call Boat US, spoke with their associate that cover Simons Is. And set up a deal at 50$ a month. Great Services. Truly..
- Now I had a dinghy leakage, needed someone to pick it up on the boat and bring it back to Savanah for checkup and repair. Here I think that the help required by the marina staff was 15 minutes. I was home in Canada, and they charge me 37$, twice, just to help the guy helping him to take the dinghy from the front of my boat to their cart up to his truck.
- Later, I needed a diver to clean the hull before crossing the Bahamas. Phone people in Brunswick

Very clean, well maintained marina. A great home away from home. Marina offers some of the best protection on the East Coast. Staff is excellent. This is a wonderful hurricane hole. The marina provides a comfortable clubhouse for social gatherings or just relaxing as well as free washers and dryers. This is within walking distance to Historic Downtown Brunswick.

Great home for our boat, 2015-02-05
Captain: , Peterborough ON (172)

We leave our boat at Brunswick Landing for the summer, and live aboard there for several weeks in the fall and spring, before and after we cruise. Love it! We've made great friends, enjoy the social life and the amenities, including propane BBQs at each dock, free laundry, clean restrooms and showers, wonderful parties on holidays and for special events. The staff members are great -- helpful and full of heart. They love their jobs and it shows. And it's a very safe place to leave our boat for hurricane season. Whether you are stopping for one night or staying for months, Brunswick Landing Marina is highly recommended!

The Marina That's Worth the Extra Mile, 2015-01-28
Captain: , Saint Simons Island, GA (10)

I have laid in at marinas from the Sassafras River on the northernmost reaches of the Chesapeake Bay to Hampton Roads, and from Mile '1' by the Naval Hospital at Norfolk to Mile 685 along the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway. I can say without equivocation that every one of those marinas was excellent. Let's face it....nobody is going to tie up an expensive yacht at a facility that is not. But this is one marina that stands head and shoulders above the rest. Like many of the other fine establishments up and down the East Coast, BLM is a couple of miles off the waterway in an exceptionally safe 'hurricane hole' where the semi-diurnal tides ebb without a raging current. Everything here is 'Bristol'. The amenities from the concrete floating docks to the superb (and, free) washers and dryers at the club are too numerous to write about, and you would be better served by going to the website to see them for yourself. The facility is geared to both sail and power vessels 30' and up....transient, seasonal, or long-term. I have been here for over two years and I enjoy 'welcoming home' our transient and seasonal friends who return on a regular basis....a testimony to the fact that BLM is 'worth the extra mile'. The staff is knowledgeable and professional and capable of assisting boaters in every way possible. They work here because they like 'bout that for an unusual concept. After regular business hours, there is a uniformed security patrol on duty to protect you and your floating investment. BLM is run as a business should be and those of you who are either small business owners or corporate execs will appreciate that. This is a no-nonsense operation which sets the standards for both quality of service and compliance at every level just as you would expect. If your standards are lower, or non-existent, this is not the place for you. The marina proudly hosts local first responder vessels, sailing programs for all ages, and generously supports the Glynn County Emergency Planning Committee.

Brunswick Landing Marina, BLM, 2015-01-26
Captain: , Roswell, Georgia (72)

BLM is simply the best for many days north or south. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Ample and spotless bath houses. Easy access to all retail outlets and surprisingly good restaurants. Free laundry using new wqshers and driers is unusual. Very little if any currents and well protected from any winds with east.

Nice marina, nice people, nice area, 2015-01-26

We found Brunswick Landing Marina in August 2012 and have gone back for hurricane season every year and will continue. Great place, nice people, and fair prices. Wish the yard was a DIY.

Brunswick Landing Marina - Great Facility Excellent Staff, 2015-01-26
Captain: , US Virgin Islands (10)

Sherry & Cindy run an excellent marina going above and beyond to help boaters and make them feel part of the BLM family. The free washers & dryers are a hit and the boaters lounge is first rate. Downtown Brunswick is sleepy but there are good restaurants/pub within walking distance and great shopping within a short drive including West Marine. Only complaint is the mosquitoes problem in the grassy fields that are part of the Marina - the county sprays but more needs to be done! Reasonable rates and great employees will bring me back again and again.

Management response:
Captain Larry, thanks for staying with us!

The county has been very diligent in recent months at spraying for mosquitoes and noseeums. However, as you know, Mother Nature doesn't typically take too kindly to man's suggestions on how to run her planet. But, we promise, we are doing everything within our power to make this place the most enjoyable marina you have ever been to.

We hope that you'll visit us again soon and give us the opportunity to change that 4-star review into a 5-star review.

Until next time, safe travels!

Also washers and dryers have been replaced, making this still the best marina for laundry, and free too! The washrooms have been improved, adding additional showers. It's stil great to be able to tie up and head over to Foxy's for the best pizza! A great place to meet new friends and old. If you need a car, just ask around.

Captain: , Saint Michaels (320)

We have left our boat here twice on our way to the Bahamas and back. Sherrie and the staff make this place a great one. The docks are floating and it is easy to tie up for the long haul if you want to. The Marina has a very good monthly rate.
We have left a pickup truck here twice. No problem.
Restaurants are walking distance. Provisioning is not as easy.
The staff will always be there to help you tie up. Great people and good facilities.

Captain: , Annapolis (451)

Sherry and CIndy are super capable, amazingly helpful and go out of their way to make your stay worthwhile. From our very first contact with the marina on our apprioach, we were impressed. Sherry gave us clear nformation via VHF about getting in to the slip (which side for lines, which lines she wanted first, how high to place fenders, exactly where to turn in) and was waiting to take lines at the dock. The marina is very well-maintained and well-organized - free laundry, clean updated showers, reliable wifi, great lounge, happy hours and film nights, etc. We stayed for Thanksgiving - Sherry organized a real treat for about 100 boaters at BLM. She also helped us get parts for a broken windlass and very capable and reasonable assistance (thanks Wayne!) in getting the seized windlass apart. And she also gave wonderful recommendations about what to see and where to eat in town and what to visit inthe vicinity. We witnessed her readiness to help others (e.g. drove a boater to the ER on Thanskgiving day) with anything needed.
We plan to leave our boat here for a few months next summer and are confident it will be safe and in capable hands.

great stop for transients, 2014-11-24
Captain: , South Portland, Maine (847)

If for no other reeason, and there are many other reasons, stop here to meet Cherie. She is the most interesting dockmaster we know, with competent line handling and local knowledge and a personality to make it in film.

Price for fuel is $3.22 and use cash or check to avaoid extra 3% charge . No current and very protected. We were here for two days to reprovision, groceries and Westmarine about 1 1/2 mile bike ride. Historic Brunswick is architecturaly facinating. Listen to Cherie where not to go, avoid Martin Luther Drive, "there is nothing to see there, its our local slum".

Our daughter is leaving her 39 Nyiad here for a month as its a secure long term place to park a boat, live aboards are friendly and watchful and Cherie checks on your boat.

We wil definately be back in the spring.

Best Georgia Basecamp, 2014-11-24
Captain: , Saint Augustine, FL (489)

Savvy diners know to look for that restaurant one or two streets back from the tourist strip because they have to try harder. When it comes to marinas, this is that place. Our cruising plans changed within a couple hours of our arrival and we decided to break our trip early so this could be the place we return to and can spend some time after the holidays. It is also very well protected and the attitude and professionalism of the staff assured me that the boat will be well looked after.

In my several thousand miles up and down the coast, I have never enjoyed myself more in an eating and drinking establishment than at Tippy McSway%u2019s. Fare is simple bar food but fresh and creatively done. Neither of us can explain exactly why our two evenings there were so special but it just shows that there is something elusively indefinable about the atmosphere of an establishment that you may not suspect when you first walk in. The live local music on Sunday nights is not to be missed.

Some negatives about a good marina, 2014-10-28
Captain: , Marathon, FL (1264)

Update 10/27/14. We second the previous reviews. This Marina has now given us a reason to come up the river. Great prices on fuel and dockage. And Cherie was very helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back as long as they keep their pricing low. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the lack of a pool and poor old Brunswick.

We were directed to Dock 15, way down at the end of the channel. A nice dock, BUT a VERY long (at least a half mile)walk to the office to check in. It would have been very easy for the Dockhands to bring the paperwork with them. And we were not told till we got to the office that there was a 4% up charge for credit cards. This is the only marina we've been in (except for the Bahamas) that does this. And necessitated a 2nd trek to the office in the strong cold winds.
The Dockhands helped us tie up, and left without helping with the power cord or hose.
There are signs all over saying not to walk dogs on the dock side of the road. What's up with that?
Also, Dock 15 has a bare minimum of cleats.

Better than ever, 2014-10-20
Captain: , Portsmouth, NH (274)

Transient rates have dropped and fuel was the least expensive around. Dockmaster is great with docking instructions and has vast local knowledge. Glad to have tried it again after 3 years.

Management response:
Is there anything we can do better next time around to earn 5-stars rather than the 4-stars that you have given? These ratings mean a whole lot to us!

Thank you. :)

Great place to stop, 2014-10-12
Captain: , jackson, TN (884)

It has been a couple of years since we were here. The same dockmaster was there with her usual efficiency handling our lines. The facility is well maintained, restrooms are clean and the laundry is free. Town is a short walk and they provide the most comprehensive visitor package of information we have ever seen. They have reduced their transient dockage fee and their fuel prices are competitive. All in all, a great place to stop and see Brunswick.

Will never return., 2014-09-13

Nice and quiet, 2014-08-20
Captain: , St. Petersburg (749)

We were here 2 months. The floating docks are nice, the laundry facilities are SPECTACULAR, the parking is plentiful. Great club room, but NO pool. The marina is on a short canal so there is not a lot of wakes. Unfortunately downtown Brunswick is a bit depressed. But the friendly boaters and the Wed night get togethers help make up for that.

Excellent for Short Stop or Extended Stay, 2014-07-24
Captain: , Cincinnati, OH (290)

We have used BLM several times as a stopping point in our travels along the a East Coast. It is a great place to relax and catch up on boat projects before moving on. The staff (Sherrie and Cindy) work very hard to make the stay a pleasant experience. The welcome gift of a back scratcher is the best.....who needs another bag??
Bathroom/shower facilities are newly remodeled, and laundry is free! A new clubhouse for marina activities was built in 2013.

The social activities have given us the opportunity to make many cruising friends and we often cross paths with folks we met at BLM.

Downtown Brunswick is picturesque with several good restaurants and a hardware store within a 10-15 min walk. Provisioning requires a car (or long bike ride). Enterprise delivers to the marina; access to wheels lets you explore Jekyll & St. Simons Islands (15-20 min) and Savannah or Jacksonville 45-60 min). If your "cruising style" is to sample and enjoy an area this us a great place to spend time. Do a little research and ask for recommendations; there is quite a bit of history and activities to participate in the area.

As other reviewers have pointed out, the boatyard has had a poor reputation. But the recent change in management (2013) is working hard to turn that around and give the boatyard the same great reputation that the marina has.

What others have written is true. We stayed 2 nights and went to the Farmers Market and ate out.
Town center is old, but charming with many trees and squares with fountains. Not much else to see within an easy walk.
Docks and fairways are huge! Could put 2 monohulls plus a cat in slip between two finger piers.

Good Experience in the Yard, 2014-05-17
Captain: , Oriental, NC (247)

The Boat Yard and Marina are under new management and it shows. We have spent the past 5 years at the marina during hurricane season and have always loved the marina and staff. Sherrie and Cindy have always worked hard to make the marina a special place. We never used the yard due to reports from other boaters. The new manager Jim Hammrick is working hard to change the yard reputation one customer at a time. They hauled our vessel on Monday for a bottom job and we were ready to go back in the water Thursday morning. The staff was professional and timely. Good service performed on time and on budget. Not to mention we were in our slip within 10 minutes of being launched. That's what I call convenient. Good job!

Four years later it's better., 2014-05-15
Captain: , Miami, Florida (60)

I stayed here a few days back in 2009 and was very impressed with the facilities. This year I was even more impressed with the improvements. Sherry and Cindy do a great job. Besides the stores and restaurant within walking distance there is a big shopping area with with a Publix. Ace taxi had a very reasonable rate.

Great price + FREE laundry, 2014-05-11
Captain: , US East Coast (610)

The captain liked the price ($1.50/ft) but the Admiral loved the free laundry!

Great crew lounge for all guests, barbecues at each dock, friendly staff - Sherri was really helpful and knowledgeable too (you won't find many like her)

Strong wi-fi (when it works) but I can look past wi-fi hiccups because the rest is so good.

Never been in any marina where they give you so much local info etc on arrival - definitely made an impression.

We stayed on dock 10 - well in from the open water. If there is any SE-SW wind, just ask for an interior spot and the sleep will be smooth!

Good Stopover - again, 2014-05-01
Captain: , Palm Beach Gardens, FL (1997)

Spent a week here due to a bad back and bad weather. The town has improved a lot since 2010 although wifi and cable TV are non existent.
Well protected marina with good monthly rate. Security here is good and although the potential for crime based on location is high their was no sign of any issues.

Nov 1 2010. Marina staff were very helpful with information and directions around town. Supermarket was worth the $7 each way by taxi. Hopefully the fog will lift soon.

Great place for an extended stay too, 2014-04-25
Captain: , Sanford, Fl. (887)

4/24-25/14 This place gets better everytime we come. They have expanded the lounge since we were here last. The marina itself is kept up to the highest standards. Unfortunately walking around town it looks like more stores have closed since we were here last. But there is still a lot to choose from as far as food! I highly recommend stoping and stay here. We have been here for 2 weeks and plan another 2 weeks. The facility is clean, neat, and well layed out. If you like to walk take a trip down Union Street and see all the old refurbished homes. Sherry and Cindy are great at any thing that you need. It is the quietest marina I've ever been to. (except when the train is going back and forth). We stayed here again on 11/24-25/12. They really take good care of the marina. Sherry is great at handling lines and gave us really good advice on a restaurant in town to try. Indigo Costal Shanty has a really great menu and the food was excellent. Ask Sherry!

Great place for weather layover, 2014-04-20
Captain: , Fort Myers Beach, FL (361)

Sharie, the dockmaster is awesome. She knows everything there is to know about Brunswick. She did an amazing job of protecting the privacy of a visiting celebrity.
Brunswick has a lot to offer. The grocery store and West Marine are about 1.8 miles away, an easy bike ride. There are restaurants and stores within a couple blocks of the marina.
I had a local graphic sign company make additional decals for my boat. Sharie helped decide the size and placement and reccommended the vendor.
Their laundry has new machines and are FREE! My wife loved that.
The newly remodeled club room has a huge lending library.
This was our second stay and we will return whenever in the area.

Brunswick up & coming, 2014-04-08
Captain: , Meredith, NH (638)

Only 5 statute miles off the AICW & well worth the time to make this a regular stop. The marina is offering a special for dockage at $1.50/foot at this time. The town has many good restaurants & the people in town & at the marina are very freindly & accomodating. We had a delicious lunch at Indigo Coastal Shanty, just a short walk from the marina, bought cup cakes at Pam Pam Cup Cakes & stocked up on nutrition items at Gold Coast Nutrition.

Never on Sunday, 2014-04-07
Captain: , Gloucester, Virginia (100)

We arrived Sunday evening and, after getting tied up, we walked into town. As the dock mistress said, everything was closed and the streets were rolled up. Actually, there was a subway open but there were no customers. Free laundry facilities! Showers were clean. On our dock--inside of T dock, there was a lot of bird droppings.

Agree with most of the other posts about the friendly staff and facilities. We were moored on the South end of docks and found the wifi to be verry slow . Win Dixie and West Marine a good long walk fron the marina and CJ's cab service provides excellent service.

Stopped here for 2 nights during the above event. Very much enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, very clean bathhouse, and FREE laundry. Could walk to the town and enjoy the restaurants. Definitely will return!

Captain: , Wilmington, NC (250)

We stopped here for a night before moving over to Jekyll Harbor because we had heard about Brunswick Landing Marina and wanted to check it out for ourselves. Due to weather, we stayed a week. It's a big, full service marina. Deckhands friendly and helpful, two met us at our slip. Dock Master Sherrie is a hoot who would do anything to help you. Because of weather, we were here for Thanksgiving. Sherrie put on an awesome Thanksgiving Dinner for 80 boaters. She takes care of her boaters.
Bathhouses at each end of the marina. First rate facilities. Boaters' lounge with books and several TVs. Free laundry (it's rare to see The Admiral get this excited about laundry). Most of the berths are slips but with long finger piers, but you can bow in if you choose. The town of Brunswick is within easy walking distance and has nice shops and restaurants.

Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

I had the bottom painted, the shaft reworked , and the strut reglassed on a 32 foot sailboat and the work was terrific. The job was done in three days for a lot less money than I expected. They have made some changes in the yard and I would recommend it.

Best showers and laundry facilities. Cleaned very well daily. Nice washers 4/dryers 5 for free. BBQ and covered patio at top of each dock makes for great space for visiting and cooking. Great staff. Air conditioned lounge area provides a great community for social events, and new large club room with screened porch over the water opens up Nov. 8.

Brunswick Landing, 2013-10-06
Captain: , Louisiana (554)

I agree with most of the postings already, with the following additions:
The marina has a list of contractors to repair almost anything, but when an outside contractor signs in to the marina, the marina charges you 15% of your total bill. If your bill runs "one boat unit", you're paying an additional $150 to the marina.
I think that the marina is not as good a "hurricane hole" as some people say. Biggest concern for me is that you can only tie your boat on one side -- no pilings between slips. You tie to one side & hang out lots of fenders.
Boaters' lounge is one of the best you'll find, and they are expanding it to include a screened in porch.
In downtown Brunswick, things are pretty quiet all month, except for their "First Friday" celebration. Well worth attending.
Marina office will point you to the Indigo Coastal Shanty. Unique place with excellent food.

we did not spend the night, but called in advance and asked if we could stop for a couple of hours to go to town and have lunch. they helped us tie up gave us a map for town with directions to the Indigo Coastal cafe which had great food. there was no charge and the ladies there are wonderful. gave us information on their marina and the town and two nice back scratchers. who could ask for more and all free!

This place is great!!
Self service diesel at $4.
Daily dockage at $2/ft and monthly at $11/ft.
Yes that's right ... monthly dockage at $11/ft. so after 6 days, you have paid for the month.
Floating concrete docks in excellent condition, good electric system at 240 volts, 50 amp. Convenient walk to town with nice selection of restaurants.
Everything is closed on Sunday ... no taxi, no car rental, no restaurants ... so shop on Saturday and cook for yourself on Sunday.
Nice BBQ at the head of each finger pier and marina provides propane.
Daily trash pickup at the head of each finger pier.

Great Staycation!, 2013-06-09
Captain: , Lake Simcoe, Ontario (240)

Nice docks, washrooms, free laundry...very close to town for restaurants - nice bike ride or walk to west marine and grocery store

We enjoyed dinner at Basil's - gorgeous Thai curry and lots of other selections, Fox's Pizza has AWESOME pizza, including Gluten Free and other selections including wings and pasta's - several specials every day, Sonnys BBQ had nice ribs!

We rented a car and went to Savannah for 2 days - beautiful city

I would stay again and highly recommend it to other boater!

This is a very large marina (~350 boats) and well run - many people leave their boat here during hurricane season - they are full by May ususally! Because of so many boats, service is often backed up so if you need work done you should check with them first.

Nice Marina, great docks, free laundry NO pump out, 2013-05-24
Captain: , Gulf Breeze, Fl (6909)

I returned after 2 years cruising the Westerrn Rivers and found my impression and rating is even better. We've stayed here several times and it is still a great marina with increase security. We saw two full time guards at night who challenged anyone looking suspicious(me?). Facilities are top line but the pumpout (on a handcart) never works or is unavailable etc.. now has working pumpout dump off shore or go to Golden Isles Marina for a pump out. the downtown section is charming with good restaurants...don't miss Cargoes(now closed) All other stores require a car or strong legged bicycler.
lLve aboads are now officially legal! The previously good bathrooms are even better...larger private suite type. Staff Sherry and Cyndi are tops.

Welcome wagon was there!, 2013-05-02

The ladies at the dock do an awesome job at getting everyone in and out of slips with their direction and assistance. Fueled and stayed one night going northbound. Worth the 5 miles off the ICW!

Couldn't ask for a more helpful staff than Sherry and Cindy. These two ladies do a wonderful job of managing the docks and providing help to boaters. Long-term dockage rates are more than reasonable. Yes, the Town of Brunswick has seen better days, but it is still picturesque and has some very good restaurants (Indigo Coastal Shanty and the pizza place.) And, yes, as in just about every other marina in the deep South, you may contend with no-see-'ems and some of the biggest mosquitoes you will ever see in your life. But it's the dock staff that sets this place apart!

Marina and crew were great with nice bath and free laundry facilities, but sadly the old downtown area has seen better days. Been there and doen that so removed from my bucket list, but the town was a disappointment.

Captain: , Southport, ME, USA (1178)

Agree with most other comments. The staff is friendly and professional. One of the best marinas we have stopped at for clear instruction on the VHF and help with docking. The $2/ft cash-check rate is a bit on the high side, but other than electricity, everything else is free, including laundry. Ate at Fox's Pizza Den, just a short walk from the marina. Really good Italian food, fresh and made on site.

top notch staff and service in a good marina, 2012-12-15
Captain: , Wilmington, DE (780)

could not ask for nicer staff than Sherry and Cindy. took our lines in quickly, tied up the boat before we knew it and provided tons of helpful information about Brunswick. mrina is well protected and close to town, tho it looks like Brunswick has fallen on hard times like so many other older towns along the east coast. Indigo Shanty was an excellent moderately priced restaurant.

A Bit Pricey But A Good Stop, 2012-12-14
Captain: , Vero Beach, FL (907)

We stopped here one night in early November. We arrived after the office closed, so theygave us exact directions to our slip and left a card key (for the bathrooms) under the doormat. As others have said, all facilities were good. Thecomfortable lounge room in the bath building was a welcome extra.
One thing; water and shore power hookups were only on the main dock, not on the 40' finger pier, and widely spaced as well, so quite a long hose and power cables may be needed.
We would stop here again.

Captain: , Miami Beach (630)

We stayed there 11/26/12. We were met at the fuel dock for fuel and pump out by the dockmaster who was very helpful. She had another lady helping her and both were not only knowledgable but very helpful too. She told us before we got to our slip about paying by check and getting the discount. There was no charge for the pump out and the laundry was free and located in a very unlaundrylike environment which was very pleasant. The showers and bathroom was one of the best that I have been in. It was very spacious with lots of hooks and lighted mirrors. There was a privacy lock on the shower area itself and it was very clean and bright. We had additional help in the morning getting off the dock and they gave John a cup of coffee. So would definitely recommend. It was very convenient to Historic Brunswick and there were lots of things to look at especially some very attractive homes. Brunswick isn't Charleston but then what is?

Not worth the trip, 2012-11-24
Captain: , Hilton Head Island, SC (377)

The docks are adequate, and, as others have noted, there is very little current. The Dockmaster met us at our assigned slip and helped with the lines. She helped again the next morning for our departure.

The bathroom facilities are clean and well-maintained, but I wouldn't suggest you enter the marina office in the morning if you're not a smoker. If you are a smoker, you can save yourself the expense of buying tobacco. All you need do is walk in and take a deep breath. Fortunately, it was so smokey looking when we passed bye that we knew not to enter.

There isn't much to see within walking distance of the marina. However, if you do find yourself there for the night, I highly recommend a restaurant within an easy walk called Basil Thai & Sushi. The food was excellent, the ambiance was top-notch and the owner came by several times to check on us. He even made a special cocktail and a hand-roll for my wife even through neither was on the menu. The price of the meal was very reasonable.

All-in-all, I don't think the distance one must travel to reach this marina is worth the benefit derived from making the effort.

Well run marina, 2012-10-27
Captain: , Amelia Island, FL (507)

We were greeted by knowledgable staff who were most helpful. The marina is close to downtown; the docks are in great shape; the facilities clean. even with a six to seven foot tide, there is very little current. docking and undocking was easy. This a defininte repeat stop.

Book in advance if you like to stay here, 2012-10-17
Captain: , Bear DE (694)

We booked already a year ahead to get a slip in here. This is a secure and friendly place to stay with clean restrooms and a great boating community. Internet is working like it should do. You can leave you boat here for a long time with no problems.

Excellent Facility, 2012-10-16
Captain: , Kemah, TX (622)

Brunswick Landing is extremely nice. Walking distance to downtown restaurants and entertainment. Just a block away from the commercial fishing docks and if you are there early enough, they usually have good selections and are helpful. There is also a fresh vegetable/fruit market in the same area.

The folks are super friendly here and have a very social network in the marina. Great socializing room for tv, laundry, and just relaxing in air conditioning to read-nice trading library.

Very clean. The water is ugly, but you won't be swimming in it. I think the only down side of this facility is the lack of a swimming pool.

Great Hurricane protection here and no current!

Great Place, 2012-10-12
Captain: , florida (230)

We arrived on the 4th of July. What a reception! :)

Seriously though, we've been here for several months and have nothing to complain about. The marina is nice and well protected from weather. There is no current to deal with here.

Each dock section has its own pavilion and BBQ, as mentioned by others, and I find this a nice thing since many marinas don't have BBQs. The marina staff are great to deal with too.

The cable TV works as does the wifi, although the wifi can be slow at times. The clubhouse is air conditioned and has TVs, a large library, and free laundry.

This is a large marina with over 300 slips, and is certified by Georgia DNR to allow liveaboards. Now, during hurricane season, there is a large liveaboard community here that gets together every Wednesday night for drinks and snacks.

This is a great marina if you have dogs too. There are large green spaces to let them run.

Downtown Brunswick is within walking distance, but for groceries you'll need a bike or car. If you have use of a car here, be sure to visit Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island beaches. I particularly like Jekyll Island's driftwood beach for its beauty, plus the dogs are welcome there. I called the Jekyll Island Authority (twice) to make sure.

Nice Marina, 2012-09-21
Captain: , Brunswick, GA (63)

BLM has all the amenities you need. There are grills at the top of each pier with table and chairs. Every Wednesday nite there is a get-together at clubhouse at pier 10. BYOD and some snacks and enjoy company with fellow boaters. They also have events at those special holidays for a pitence.

A very rare find., 2012-08-30
Captain: , Palm Beach, FL (133)

This was my first time to visit Brunswick Landing, but will not be my last. I came in here on my way home to FL right before we knew where Hurricane Isaac was going. I planned on staying a few days or a week. When I told them I would be staying a week, they gave me a monthly rate of $11/ft., so I decided to stay a month and wait for hurricane season to wind down.

The marina is at the end of east river and has good depth of 12' at the dock. It is well protected from the inlet and seems a very safe harbor.

The people and staff here are very friendly, and the marina is very well maintained and very clean. There are two clubhouses with TV's, library, and easy chairs. There are propane grills at the head of each dock. The other boaters are very friendly as well. They have a weekly pot luck diner that everybody is invited to. If you need a ride someplace, there is usually somebody around to help.

The docks are all floating concrete and very stable. The laundry is free and the internet connection is free and good.

The town is only two blocks away, though it has suffered from the economic downturn, but it is a cute little town. Major shopping centers and malls are a short cab ride away.

If you are looking for a clean, safe, and cute place to stop, try this one.

Repair and transient slip, 2012-07-26
Captain: , Panama City, FL (200)

I made my way to Brunswick Landing with a leaking through hull fitting. The folks at the marina were a real joy to meet. I came in after closing and the staff made sure that I knew where I was going and had access to showers and laundry. The facilities are clean and maintined. I hauled out with the help of the yard man and the mechanic, both knowledgable and professional. Bottom was pressure washed and no shortcuts when blocking my boat on the hard. Repairs were professional and speedy. I definitelt reccomend this marina and repair facility.

Brunswick Landing Marina, 2012-06-11
Captain: , punta gorda, fl (1448)

Stayed here a couple of years ago and bought fuel while there. The floating docks were very nice, it was well protected, and several restaurants were within easy walking distance. However, a couple of hours after departing the marina we encountered a problem with water in the fuel. We cannot definitively say that the problem was the result of the marina's fuel quality (and the marina owner said it was not). However, we have never had such an issue before. And we had traveled some 600 miles without a problem since we had last bought fuel in SW Florida.

A Hidden Gem, 2012-05-30
Captain: , Somers Point (460)

Off the beaten path but well worth it if you want to stay for more than a day. No current to throw you off and an excellent staff. Brunswick is worth the walk and that is all you need. I had to do some business and needed a notary. Marina told me one was right at the end of the facility and Fed Ex was around the corner. What help

Best Maina ever, 2012-05-23
Captain: , Subtle, KY (30)

This large marin is situated right down town. Walking distance to many restaurants and shops. However, grocery stores are at best a bike ride away. Friendly boatersthere often offer transportation to supermarkets and the like. I disagree with those who find the restrooms dirty. I have been using this marina for at least 6 years and never had a problem with the rest rooms. There are two spacious captain's lounges and an excellent book exchange. The pump out has been completely updated. There are always many boaters on the docks who will help you when they can and watch out for the other boats on their docks. There is a boatyard and travelift available, but I don't recommend it.

Brunswick Landing - Mixed, 2012-05-06
Captain: , Baltimore, Maryland (330)

The marina ia nicely situated to protect the cruiser from almost any winds, except those from the south. The tide has no effect there either, so that makes tying up pretty easy. The problem is with the staff. They tell you how and where to to tie up. If you like a stern tie-to, tough luck. They also do not appear to be much of a clean marina. The pumpout system was out when we were there, and they almost laughed about when they were going to get it fixed. They were in no rush. The restrooms were not clean either. Great location for a marina, bad choice of staff.

Captain: , Monches,wi (330)

CAn't say enough good about this place and it's people. Stopped here for fuel on 3-23-12 and to wait out favorable tides thru Mud River. Super friendly people and Sherrie's knowledge of local ICW is invaluable. Always our regular stop when travelling the iCW north or south-bound.

I'd give it 10 stars if available.

Cruisers Dekight, 2012-03-16
Captain: , Littleton, NC (426)

Sherrie (harbormaster) is fantastic. Free laundry, showers, and WI-Fi. Decent cable access. Roving security, Wednesday night get togethers and cocktails at most docks at 4 to 6. Cruisers ideal dockage for services, repairs, and maintenance. Lester Forbes is a fantastic electronics guy, Wayne Hall a great mechanic. The only negatives are the sometime smell from the paper plant across and up the river and and serious provisioning is a $7.00 cab ride away. Regulars borrow cars from each other. Downtown is a 1/4 mile away and has some good and decent restuarantss. Although the downtown has lost some of its charm over the years it still is fun. Big shops and familiar restuarants are the $7.00 cab ride away (TAXIs will negotiate and do round trips)

Good access at night, 2012-03-11
Captain: , Olcott, NY (2536)

We arrived very late and had no problem finding our way in.
Things were a long walk and the town was a bit down on its luck but as others said, I'll stop here again.

Quiet & Friendly Marina, 2012-01-29
Captain: , Scottsdale (421)

I'll list the minuses first because there are far more positives than negatives: When the wind is from the NNW, there is an uncomfortable smell coming from a paper plant, but it doesn't occur very often. Access to the docks are not secure, but there is roving security.

Positives: This is a well protected marina. A very responsive and caring staff that provides great advice about the area. Bath houses are comfortable, clean and warm (which was a big deal when the temperature was 30 degrees in the morning). Two places with free laundry and TV lounges with cable TV. Free WiFi spots are at every other dock with consistent signals. There is an excellent dentist within walking distance. Catamarans are not charge more for dockage. This is a great place for an extended stay.

Downtown isn't what it was a decade ago, but there are some very good places to eat within walking distance along with the post-office, library, hardware store and boutique shopping. It feels like the area is coming back and the people here are so friendly.

GOOD MARINA BUT ...., 2012-01-27
Captain: , Bristol, RI (386)

Dock Master & Staff excellent, helpful & informative. Floating docks are in good shape; problems, like shore power reverse polarity and flat tire on dock cart were addressed immediately. The bad news: its a long walk to dock masters office & to showers; the birds will leave their calling card all over your boat; the town of Brunswick within walking distance of the marina is an economic disaster with many closed & empty store fronts.

Good marina & easy access, 2012-01-27
Captain: , Palm Beach Gardens (605)

Easy marina to get into at night with basically no current and deep wide channel. Very friendly staff and the best information package I have ever received from a marina. Ask to be put on docks 7,8,9, or 10 to be closest to the showers and free laundry. The marina runs appox one mile along the waterfront. Can not comment on town as we arrived on a Sunday when the downtown area was basically closed.

A Special Place Worth A Visit, 2012-01-19
Captain: , Pinnacle, NC, USA (1422)

Brunswick Landing is a community in its own right, well intergrated into the this grand old Georgia village. The marina is well managed, clean and friendly. Their bathrooms and showers are a model for others to copy. We look forward to comming back for a longer planned stay.

Friendly Staff, 2011-12-10
Captain: , Kingston, ON (455)

We stayed here for four weeks while catching up on repairs and maintenance. We found the staff to be very helpful. Wayne, the resident diesel mechanic, could not have been more helpful. The facilities are clean and in good repair.
The city has done much to reinvigorate the downtown core. But, they can't escape the current economic realites.

Not so pretty, 2011-11-28
Captain: , City Island New York (600)

We were greated and helped to tie our lines, then with an off hand wave to where our electric was the 2 dock hands dissappered! The town is a sad example of a dying downtown, too depressing to do much of anything in. We had a safe, quiet slip and that is all we needed. Electric went out for an hour or two, we were told it was town wide. Showers, lounge, laundry (free) all OK.

Captain: , Nashville (260)

Clean, quiet, seemingly well managed marina just off beaten path. Helpful and pleasant staff, security. Full service boatyard just beyond marina. Short walk to historic district, restaurants, etc. Rent cars available. Restrooms/showers and laundry (no coins required) as clean as any we've seen. Gas grills, lounge, book exchange, happy boaters. Pleased to be here for a while!

A Great Place for Cruisers, 2011-04-27
Captain: , Austin, Texas (1774)

We kept our boat here over last summer. It is a great hurricane hole that keeps you out of Florida for insurance purposes. But this marina has it all. Sherry is very helpful. My wife really appreciates the free laundry facilities, and the restrooms are great. It is an easy walk into downtown Brunswick with many fine restaurnats, and do not miss True Vines, a wonderful wine, beer and cheese shop. The owner Brian is very knowledgeable and can help you make some fine selections of wine or beer. Whether you are staying a few nights or much longer, we found this to be a great marina for cruisers. You couldn't ask for a better marina for overall service and safety. Even the USCG uses this area as a hurricane hole. Close to historical downtown Brunswick, you can find anything you need within 2 miles of the marina and most just a few blocks away.

Nice people here, not so great policies.

If you're here on a Wednesday, be sure to make it to the informal boater's get-together in the lounge at the bathhouse between docks 9 and 10. Starts around 5:30 and goes until whenever. Bring an appetizer type dish to share and your own drinks. A great way to meet some nice folks in the marina.

Just be sure to bring cash or a check to pay your marina and/or yard bill as Brunswick Landing adds an illegal 4% surcharge if you pay with a credit card.

Good Location and Services, 2011-01-25
Captain: , Ottawa, Canada (363)

We were greeted by Sherry who helped us in and tied us off - efficient. They have lots of good services included in the daily dockage fee like free WIFI and Laundry and you are an easy walk to down town. Clean bathrooms and showers are also appreciated. It's a little ways up the river from the ICW - but it's a good time to stop in at Ocean Petrolium to top off tanks at a good price.

Love this place!, 2010-12-15
Captain: , Miami, FL (66)

This is the best marina we've been too off the ICW. Great staff and more than reasonable prices. Ever present security patrols as well! A part of the same organization as the docks is a boatyard with a 50-ton lift and a full service boat yard. This place is a real gem!

Unfriendly, 2010-12-02
Captain: , Penetang On Canada (60)

The marina staff appeared to be ambivilant to our presence The idle speed no wake zone went for far too long coupled with threat of going to jail for 30 days or a $1,200.00 sends a strong message "beat on the boaters"

Pleasant stopover. Very clean restrooms and showers. Free washer and dryer. Bicycles are available to go into town with. Friendly staff. Be sure and have dinner at Cargos Portside Grill - top notch dining!

When we stopped 11-11-2009, we noticed a security car roaming the lot. We were told they were there all night. We experienced no problem while there. Cargos still great restaurant.

Stopped again 2010-11-12. Staff always helpful and friendly. Cargos - still best restaurant we been to on ICW.

Captain: , Point Marina, Whortonsville, NC (506)

Had planned to anchor off and spend the night here, but was told that it was private property and anchoring was not allowed. Ask about rates and told that they were $2/ft. Was not prepared to pay that much for a stay. They were nice enough to let me leave my boat on the face dock for a couple of hours for free while I walked to Adam's market - an interesting multi-ethnic grocery store about a mile away.

Excellent Marina, 2010-06-14
Captain: , St. Simons Ilsland, GA (547)

Top quality marina with boat lift/boatyard operated by the same owner at the upper end of the marina. No current as the creek is an oxbow in the river. Generally excellent depth even at low tide. Security patrol at night. Modern floating concrete docks. Excellent club house accessible 24hrs a day by key card. Free laundry rooms. Excellent restaurants in downtown. Brunswick is not a touristy downtown so little is open on Sunday. Best of all BLM is a top knotch "hurricane hole."

Watch the electric usage, 2010-04-14
Captain: , Fells Point, MD (98)

Great place, especially if you don't need heat or A/C. We managed a $124.00 electric bill in December. They charge $0.18 kwh, more than double the rate of our house in Florida.

Captain: , Baltimore, MD (1323)

Stayed a month, left boat while we traveled home before holidays, spent Christmas here. Wonderful pot-luck Christmas dinner for cruisers put on by the marina, very friendly staff, many cruisers. Regular security passes after hours. Loved the laundry, multiple machines all free! Very well-kept, clean facility. We'll keep this one highlighted as a top-notch stopover, great place to leave your boat to travel. Only drawback is grocery not too close, but cabs aren't exhorbitant, and many cruisers are happy to give you a lift to the store. Cab was $12 to the airport for a rental car.

While we were there 10/22/09 a murdered body was found just outside the marina. As a side note I was solicited by not one but two prostitutes during a two day stay. A fellow cruiser found the body while walking her dog. This is true. The marina is fine but the city needs to clean up. There is a new prison across from the marina, crazy location.

Very clean and nice folks. Just be sure to pump out before you arrive. Pump out service is available, portable on wheels, 25 gal. and only available during high tide with an appointment.

Good floating docks with walking access to downtown. Very good shelter from rough weather. Best of all, free laundry when you rent a slip.

Very nice facilities, close to town with a great book exchange.

Great marina, good shopping, so-so bar and restaurant scene, 2009-03-02
Captain: , Stuart, FL (426)

Great marina and harbormaster (Cheri and her dog "killer"). Nice community with friendly people. Almost all bars and restaurants are closed on wekends, but weekdays should be OK (the downtown business crowd is where most business comes from). West marine and grocery a cab ride away ($8 each way and $1/minute wait time). Downtown in walking distance.

Brunswick Landing, 2009-02-19
Captain: , Whitehall, Mi (1754)

Nice facitlities. Clear of the heavy current common to the area. Well protected from wind and wakes. Free Laundry!!! Lots of cruisers.

Groceries and West Marine a mile walk. Hardware closer.

Only major issue is the no-see-ums.

Easy walk to town. Free laundromat is a real plus. Good protection from current and wind. No anchorage.

Excellent hidey hole, 2007-10-30

New concrete floating docks well sheltered from wind and waves. Showers, toilets, laundromats, and lounges are very nice and new, although they can be a bit of hike for some slips. Nearby affiliated boatyard. Very convenient to the ICW. The major downside is the long haul to open water on the ocean. Historic downtown Brunswick with several good restaurants adn bars is an easy walk.
