Reviews for Brockville Yacht Club
Small boat friendly, 2014-08-20
Captain: , Montreal (328)

Really tight spot for my 27 foot sailboat and touching bottom with 4 foot six draft. No laundry as stated in description.

Friendly and well located.

In 20104, the easily accomodated my 33 foot near the seawall. Wifi improved greatly.

This is a private club

We are located close to downtown Brockville, food, beer and liquor are a close walk away. We offer reciprocity to other YC's when we have room, it is on a first come basis we don't offer reservations of any type. We can only handle boats up to about 35 ft.

If everything else is full..., 2012-08-16

This is a club, not a marina. So don't expect too much. They have a few slips for transient but can't accomodate boats much larger than 30 feet. Still, they were nice enough to let me dock my 34 trawler on the ouside wall for one night for a minimal fee. The facilities are a bit neglected. Again, it's a club, not a high end marina. Very close to the grocerie store (5 minute walk) and the main street. People were friendly and helpful. They use a piling system (no finger docks) so be prepared for that.

BYC accomodate smaller boats. If you're larger than 32' I'd be leery about trying to get in here.
There is a wall along the town marina tnat will accomodate larber boats. The town has some shopping and a few restaurants. The dining is average.

One of the best, 2011-01-17

This is one of the friendliest clubs we've ever encountered. It has a great location close to most amenities (LCBO, groceries, Beer store) and it's not as loud and chaotic as the main town marina on Blockhouse Island.
