Reviews for Bridge Side Marina
Basic but friendly., 2015-11-14
Captain: , St Petersburg (32)

This very small and inexpensive marina is family owned and operated. Whilst they are not set up for sailboats I had no trouble getting in. The pass from Gulf of mexico is deep and the approach to the marina is deep enough. I came in to shelter from a storm and suffered from high surge, but still much safer than being out in the storm. Use plenty of fenders. I had to tie alongside the diesel dock due to draft. There is additional dock space by the gas dock but for shallower draft. Less than 5'. There are a couple of low spots in the channel but only likely to cause problems if you arrive on a very low tide. I saw at least 6' all the way in, but on a high tide.

We called trying to get fuel and a slip. We are a 40' sail boat out in the gulf. The girl repeatedly stated that we would have to come to the store to get information and a slip. She was shocked that we could not do that. We went by the marina later on. It is filled with small fishing boats under 30'. More of a lauch facility.
