Reviews for Trader's Cove Marina and Park
Price is Right, 2017-06-28
Captain: , Pearl Harbor, HI (650)

This is a city owned marina and park. It's a work in progress. They are currently operating out of the storage building while awaiting the completion of the main building. When finished it will have bathrooms and showers and other amenities. Once it is full service thee rumor is they will start charging the posted rates. In the meantime can't beat the price ($25) for electricity and water on brand new floating docks tucked back a canal out of the bay wakes which are plentiful.

Great potential, 2017-06-22
Captain: , Dunedin, FL (7374)

Facility has potential to become great stop for transient boaters. Currently transients put on side tie dock up small canal north of the main harbor. Not all spots on the transient dock have power, not all cleats secure. Dock staff need instructions on how to guide in boaters from the NJICW.
Once the restrooms / showers completed and transient dock improved this will be a very nice place to stop.

good staging point to ride out Manasquan outside run , 2017-06-16
Captain: , Marthasville (561)

Like others have said, at $25/night this can't be beat especially if you're waiting for several days for outside seas to calm down.

At this time there are 3-4 transient slips w power pedestals. 2 more slips had mobile pumpout boats in them but don't know if they're always here.

There are also another 6 or so slips w pedestal bases that aren't powered that are for day use. Not sure if the plan is for them to be future transient use or not.

The first slip we tied up to only had one side of the pedestal working but the other side was the pumpout boat. This could be a limitation if it gets crowded and you're the one wo power.

Free self service pumpout located on the transient (plastic) floating docks (make sure you don't accidentally tie up there).

Reports are that shower and laundry will be online in a month.

Municipal park/playground immediately adjacent to slips that seems to get good use but quiets down by late afternoon.

Clean, new, nice!

What an excellent stop on N end of Barnegat Bay, 2017-06-12
Captain: , Mooloolaba (692)

We came in here because we needed a diver to inspect our running gear. There is an excellent, long, floating transit dock. There are no bathrooms but Porta-toilets are open in the Park during Park hours. This cove is almost completely protected with NO WAKE. After the mayhem of Barnegat Bay on a Sunday this was a real pleasure. $25/night and the power and water were both working. Apart from the pump-out boat and a police boat, we had the dock to ourselves. Extremely peaceful and I would seek this location out.
If you need a diver, try Justin Palmer 732 691 3904. He came out at short notice on a Sunday and sorted out a problem for us. Great customer service.
Note: The AC marker is in the wrong place. The transit dock is adjacent a kids playground and in the channel leading to the anchorage termed "T-Shaped Cove". The Marina is owned and run by the municipality. Good depths in the channel and lots of room at the end of the cove to turn around.

25 bucks a night, 2016-06-08

New place. No bathrooms or laundry room but awesome place. Good seafood spot 2 blocks away and great pub a half mile to the right. Have the Justin sandwich, it is amazing

All Jacked Up, 2016-06-06
Captain: , Bay St. Louis, MS (120)

Nice looking place with nice docks and nice staff but not very helpful. Had a problem at the start with power. kept tripping till i shut off all breakers on the boat. Couldn't filp my charger breaker back on. It works on my gen set and worked at A.C.Aquarium dock 2 days ago. Went to fill water tanks and no water. Talked to my friend who was here 3 days before and who told me about it. He had elect problems here too. I spent hours and a 5 mile one way bike ride to west marine messing with an elect problem that i guarantee isn't my boat's problem. So couldn't charge up my batteries and no water. Whate a shame !

A continued "work in progress.", 2012-07-16

Did a short haul here last summer. Nice management, very reasonable rate. Marina office is a trailer. It's gonna be beautiful if the funding ever comes through.

Brick Marina Still under construction, 2011-04-18
Captain: , Brick,NJ (136)

This was a nice facility last year with good ramp conditions. As of 4/18/11 there are mounds of dirt piled on the property and nothing is useable this year so far.

Under Renovations, 2009-11-21
Captain: , Brick, NJ (25)

City Budget cuts has delayed many of the upgrades planned.
Should be major improvements by 2011.
