Reviews for Brewer Post Road Boat Yard
Right in the middle of town!, 2016-08-17

If I return to Mamaroneck, this will be my marina of choice. They offer Gas & Diesel, they have a fully stocked True Value hardware store, have easy to access slips, AND they are right at the end of the main street in Mamaroneck. You can easily go out to eat, or get a drink in the heart of town.

Small but very accommodating!!!!!!!!, 2014-10-11
Captain: , WARWICK, RI (62)

Paul is a very professional and the marina was a great stop before going through NYC. The slip was easy to get to and facility clean. Plenty of shopping and restaurants. Brewers hardware in the front for any supplies you may need. For an urban marinia, it has a small town feel. Will be back.

Paul and his crew know their stuff. While we were here, we had excellent work done for our engines, glass work, rigging, etc. Pity that they aren't closer to our home base in NJ/NY; the drive was a bit much.

Small Marina, but Helpful, 2012-02-04
Captain: , Deep River, CT (250)

We have stayed at this marina a couple of times on our way to Hudson River. The marina is small, and staff is limited on week-ends. Restrooms are clean and slips are in good shape. The only marina I have been to that you have to walk thru a parking garage to get to docks or restrooms.

Town is OK and the fireworks were good. Several resturants within walking distance and the train station is walkable.

We had engine problem the last visit (4th of July weekend, so had to wait a couple of days for a mechanic. When mechanic arrived, he had me running quickly and sent me on my way at no charge. That was great service.

Since we were staying longer than anticipated, we used the train to go to a Yankee Game and also to visit NYC.

limited transient dockage, 2011-08-15

Called 8/14/2011 and they said they could not accomodate a 43' catamaran

Won't be back, 2010-11-26
Captain: , Essex, CT (1675)

This is not a nice place. We made a reservation but weren't able to find anyone when we arrived (4pm on a Sunday) so had to fend for ourselves in finding a slip. The only thing going for this place was the fact that we needed a place to stay before going through NYC and it was the right location.

Knowlegable Staff, 2007-08-01
Captain: , Onset, MA (2)

We had storm damage repairs made to our sailboat and the staff was very knowledgable about construction, rigging, aux repairs. The facility is not glamorous or a vacation destination spot, but the work was top quality and fair priced.

Good boatyard with small marina, 2007-07-10
Captain: , Kiawah Island, SC (152)

We stopped here for help with a repair and they were quite helpful on a short notice. This isn't a large marina but the yard is capable of doing anything. The Manager Paul knows his stuff and was willing to help. It is right in town and has a great ship's store onsite.
