Plymouth Rock, Plymouth Plantation, Mayflower II, and associated tourist places. Pilgrim Museum on Main St. is worth a visit with artwork and historical artifacts.

Reviews for Brewer Plymouth Marine
Another Well Run Brewer Marina, 2017-08-06
Captain: , Longboat Key, FL (1089)

As we have come to expect from Brewer (now owned by Safe Harbor) Plymouth is another well run marina. Large concrete floating docks, friendly and helpful dock staff, clean and well appointed restrooms, restaurant on site and within easy walking distance of town. Only downside is since the transient dock is the outward face dock, you get a fair amount of strong wave action from the harbor traffic, and beleive it or not, that is mostly from the launch service that is run by the town!

Excellent marina, 2017-07-26
Captain: , Providence (443)

Very nice marina - helpful friendly staff, and a well-maintained facility. The face dock is very easy to get in/out. The Plymouth waterfront is mostly a tourist trap, but if you walk a couple of blocks away from the water, there are a number of nice restaurants.

Great location and super service staff, 2016-10-09
Captain: , Avondale, PA (448)

(Visited 9/13/2016). We pulled in for a one night stay while transiting south. The dockmaster was responsive to our VHF call and gave us good directions to our place on the face dock. It was low tide and we churned up some mud as we turned around for a port side tie, but we docked with little difficulty.

Once again the staff was helpful and attentive. The heads and showers are clean, well equipped and in good condition.

We enjoyed walking around town again and can recommend a wine tasting at the Plymouth Bay Winery right on Water Street. It was very entertaining and we got lots of samples of wine and wine based sauces.

My only negative comment is that the advertised wi-fi doesn't reach the face docks.

(9/26/2014). We pulled in here after having a hose burst on my hydraulic stabilizers. Within just an hour of tieing up a technician was onboard and we'd found the leaking hose and removed it. They had the new one fabricated the next morning and installed by afternoon. Colan and Jack did great work. The bill was reasonable and there was no charge for dockage since they were doing repair work. I'm quite satisfied with their service.

The marina itself is very nice. Contrary to what the previous reviewer said, there is a separate head, shower and laundry facility that is reserved for boaters. They are clean, well equipped and well maintained.

The staff was exceedingly helpful and even worked to move us to a protected position inside the floating dock system when a storm from the east threatened the exposed face dock where we had initially tied up.

Plymouth itself was swarming with tourists on this warm autumn day, but things calmed down as soon as you get off the waterfront. There are quite a few restaurants and a small grocery along with the usual souvenir and T-shirt shops. There's a wealth of historical sites within easy walking distance.

Kudos to the dockmaster, Stephanie, the service manager, Dave, and the office staff of Janet and Liz for making our stay enjoyable when the equipment failure could have made it very trying.

Great stay, 2016-08-06
Captain: , Norwalk (293)

This is a very pleasant marina. The location is excellent; the staff are friendly and efficient. The facilties are good. The only dissappointment was that the gas grills were not working as the gas canisters were not refilled. We stayed three nights and we will cetainly be returning.

Nice marina, 2016-07-26
Captain: , Branford ,CT (220)

This is very nice Marina ! The dock staff was on the ball and very helpful from first contact to tie up! Very good on site Resturant with above average food! The showers/bathroom were very clean! Many good resturants in walking distance and of course the history of the Pilgrims and Plymouth Rock are all here! A long well marked channel brings you into Plymouth just watch the currents ! We will return!!!

Great location, 2016-07-25
Captain: , Cape Cod, MA (179)

Other reviews are spot on. It's what one has come to expect from a Brewers marina. Our 2nd stay here. First was 3 years ago. Arrived on a beautiful, hot Sunday and the scene was very lively. A bit rolly on the transient face dock because of all the action, but very calm during the night. Excellent meal at the East Bay Grille but it was packed and noisy. During the week it should be much more pleasant. Had considered the Tavern on the Wharf but glad we didn't choose it as it sounded like they were having a music war with the restaurant next door as we passed it. Next time we'd probably try one of the more down-market restaurants in town.

The only negatives are the absurd $16 they now charge for a 30 A hookup, and the showers, while clean, are cramped and could use some hooks over the bench outside the shower rooms.

Nice marina with friendly helpful crew, 2016-06-21
Captain: , Amelia Island (141)

We were towed into Brewer Plymouth Marina late on a Saturday afternoon after being told when we called a few days earlier that they were full for the weekend. Our initial call was answered by Jodi, the parts counter manager, who understood our situation and found us space on the face dock. Liz at the font counter was very friendly and helpful when we checked in. Service Manager Dave was at our boat by a little after 9:00 Monday morning and got our overheating issue worked out promptly. Everybody we dealt with at the marina was very friendly and eager to help their customers out. The marina comped our dockage since we were there to have service done. Nice heads.

very accommodating , 2015-11-18

October 31, 2015.
Even though it was off season, the Marina was very busy. Tim, the manager, was so helpful and friendly. Great location, reasonable rates, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed a lovely walk through Plymouth and had a 5 star meal at the Seacoast Grill. All together.... A great experience.

Comfortable and Friendly, 2015-09-06
Captain: , Salem, MA (234)

Great docks, restrooms with showers and laundry, and restaurant. Chris on the docks was great as was Liz in the office. Finally discovered that the better restaurants are a block off the harbor front. Enjoyed the beer and sampling of small plates at Nosh's Tavern.

great spot, 2015-07-31
Captain: , City Island New York (210)

put us on a face dock looking at Plymouth Rock and the beautiful! bathrooms and showers are first class...took a short dinghy ride to brown beach- amazing!

Best place to stay in Plimouth, 2015-07-10
Captain: , Glen Cove, NY (281)

Stayed three days while exploring the area. Chris, Dockmaster, goes the extra mile to accommodate TRANSIENT customers with changing schedules! This marina is small in comparison to other Brewer facilities and demand for dock space is high during tourist season making it difficult to juggle space to accommodate transients as most slips are occupied by season contract vessels.
Excellent location in midst of town.

Friendly service - very accomodating, 2015-07-08
Captain: , Byram, CT (708)

Service was prompt, efficient and the charges were reasonable. Would return. The people were very nice.

Stopped back in July 2015 and had another good experience. Note the fuel brand sold is Valvetect, which is always preferred. Prices were reasonable.

Nice Concrete Floating Docks, 2014-08-13
Captain: , Wickford, RI (584)

Nice solid concrete floating docks. Restrooms shared with restaurant. No showers. No cable. Weak wifi on D dock. Restaurant was average.

Quiet and convienient to town, 2013-09-11
Captain: , South Portland, Maine (847)

Stayed here for 2 days getting back to Boston. Plymouth is worth a day. Dockmaster Stef McLaughlin is really professional. The Brewer discount of 25% makes this competitive.

Expensive but nice, 2013-08-31
Captain: , Vienna, VA (320)

We stayed overnight here and had a crew change. The facilities are nice as they seem to be in all Brewer facilities. A bit pricy but this was the Boston area. Good shower and laundrey facilities. Easy walking to Plymouth.

A great summer home!, 2013-08-10
Captain: , North Palm Beach, FL (490)

We are very happy to have found Brewer's Plymouth Marine (as well as the city of Plymouth!). Great facilities and docks, especially the new D Dock that Tim and the guys worked so hard to have ready for the season.
Everyone here is extremely friendly, courteous, and professional, from the folks in the office and on the dock, to Tim, Janet and company, to Dave and the maintenance folks.
We are blessed to have such a great place to come to for the season.
Thank you!

Excellent Location, Nice Marina, 2013-07-15
Captain: , Barrington RI (137)

We docked within view of "the rock". Heavy concrete floating docks are in excellent condition. We were docked on the face with a brisk east wind grinding us onto the dock. When we requested an inside slip, they accomodated us.

We didn't need any service but I'm sure they could handle any repair, major or minor. Dock staff was friendly and helpful as was office staff. Bathrooms are clean and spacious. Security is very good with keycard access. Easy walk to everything in Town. No pool but grills at common area and decent wifi. Seasonal slipholders are friendly. And Paul of and Wicked Tuna fame was on the dock filming for the show. He has his own boat and keeps it here. He was nice enough to sign autographs for our kids.

Plymouth is a great stop and this Brewers is very nice if you're looking for a slip.

Good protection in a blow, 2013-06-14
Captain: , Freeport, ME (608)

Came in here when the forecast called for east to northeast winds at 20-25 knots gusting 40, and minimum 5 foot seas. The forecast was correct. The heavy concrete floating docks gave excellent protection from the 1-2' breaking waves in the harbor. Clean facilities, with almost any service you might need on site or within walking distance. Friendly, helpful staff.

Great marina to visit and explore the sights, 2013-02-15
Captain: , marina del ray (70)

Plymouth is a great marina to stay at, and there's a wonderful town to visit as well. Fantastic restaurant there, and nothing is too of a walk. Out of all of the Brewers marinas we've visited, this was our favorite. I highly recommend eating at Katie's Burgers.

Very Nice Marina, 2012-09-10
Captain: , Seattle, WA (415)

Plymouth was a last minute stop. Easy entrance just follow the markers. Brewers Marina was very nice, brand new bathrooms/showers. Right next to Plymouth Rock which isn't to be missed. Katie's Burgers is another not to be missed, great hamburger very casual but very warm and friendly.

Great marina & town, 2012-07-16
Captain: , Deep River, CT (250)

Very accommodating, helpful and competent dockhand. Newly renovated clean head & showers. We have stayed at about 10 or 11 Brewers and this is one of the best.

Great place with a lot to do and see, 2012-07-05
Captain: , Hingham, MA (1079)

We had stayed here once before and knew to bring a step ladder in order to get on and off the boat. This marina has a great restaurant and clean, new restrooms. Nothing is far to walk to and there is a very nice park across the street. The personnel are all very helpful and nice. The only minor issue we ran into is that the docks are not marked well and at first missed our row to turn into.

A Great place to Stay, 2012-07-03
Captain: , Midland Ontario (660)

Not only is the marina a great place to stay, Plymouth surprised us as a great town to visit. We picked this location last minute as a layover and added an extra day to see all the sights. Helpful staff and facilities reflect a well run working marina where you can get repairs and supplies. We would stay here again.

Friendly, quiet, and in town, 2012-06-22
Captain: , Newport (404)

Spent two nights here about 200 yards from the ROCK. Staff really attentive. Face dock was fine. Good bar/rest on site, but 10 or more eateries within short walk. Very new heads/showers and laundry.

Nice stop on the way from Boston to the canal, 2011-09-10
Captain: , Boston (70)

Nice facility and friendly people. I have stopped here twice in the last two years. Bathrooms are shared with the restraunt and get get a bit overused when the restraunt is busy. Showers are OK.

Make sure that when you check in they give you the key code to the docks. I have had to ask each time.

Walk to town is not bad and there is a variety of places to eat. could not find a super market within walking distance.

Responsive, Professional Service, 2011-07-17
Captain: , Destin, FL (514)

Had a genset return fuel line which needed to be replaced. Yard manager sent a great mechanic (Colin) out later that same day and he did a great job. Highly recomend them if you need service. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Great service -- but loud environment, 2010-11-26
Captain: , Essex, CT (1675)

Great service. Yard hands were at our boat immediately and didn't leave until they were certain we were well secure and knew where water and electricity were. Showers were ok and check-in a little awkward (at the back of the restaurant) but the service again was fantastic. Our slip was right under the porch of the restaurant which made it a little too public as every eye in the place watched us tie up. We discovered we had a barnacle problem and were referred to a local diver who could help us out. He was Aamazing! Came right over in on his vessel, tied up next to us and went to work. Only $50 later we were clean as a whistle. Plymouth is a fun place to walk around and Brewers is clearly the best spot to stay -- even if it is a funny spot.

Convient to Town, 2010-10-16
Captain: , North Myrtle Beach, SC (3210)

Nice stay. Recommend for all around decent place to stay. Too expensive

An excellent, professional marina, 2009-08-25
Captain: , Whitby, ON (794)

Staff know their stuff if you need work done and are friendly and helpful, but not cheap at all.
We stayed at their work dock where you get a fair bit of noise from the adjacent restaurant (karaoke) and nearby park (concerts). Quieter but less protected at the outer guest dock.
If I was staying in Plymouth I would try to get a yacht club mooring I think. Marina is fine for getting work done.

Brewer Plymouth Marine, 2009-07-23
Captain: , Monches,wi (330)

3rd stay at a Brewers facility sonce entering Long Island Sound eastbound in early July.

These folks at brewers have it figured out.

Excellent facility at Plymouth and courteous, helpful dock hands. Lisa in the office was exceptionally friendly and helpful in matters relating to town, locations, etc.

Only caviats:

If tied to the long face dock, you will rock. Harbor is busy.

Fuel dock is a tight squeeze to get into.

Otherwise, a fine facility.

Recommended - all ammenities!, 2009-07-22
Captain: , Occoquan, VA (456)

There isn't any specific that makes this marina stand out - rather, it is that this marina has, and does, everything well. The concrete docks are in excellent condition, the staff is exceptionally professional, and all faciltiies are very well maintained.

The marina is within walking distance to Plymouth Rock and Mayflower II. Local bus service will take you to Plymouth Plantation for $.50 per person. See the visitor information center for details (also within walking distance).

Very helpful, great facility, 2009-05-14
Captain: , New York, NY (470)

Chris, the dockmaster, was very helpful and delightful--in a tough, crusty way. Early season meant lots of space. Staff bent over backwards to help us with parts, fuel, laundry, advice, etc. Lots of hot water and water pressure in the showers. Breakfast restaurant right outside the gate, on-site bar/restaurant was fine.

Great town, 2007-07-24
Captain: , Greenport, NY (427)

We were put on an outside floating dock at this marina which could have been an exercise for the fenders in an north wind. We moved to a Yacht Club mooring when some weather was forecasted.

Facilities were good and clean. Walking distance to tourist atrractions in Plymouth.

Staff was gracious but had not time to be very helpful.
