Reviews for Brewer Cove Haven Marina
Spent a month, 2016-09-07
Captain: , Weston, VT (570)

Well our trawler spent a month. We left her for two weeks to attend to things and then spent two weeks onboard. Brewer Cove is a well protected and wonderfully maintained marina. Docks and all facilities in first class order. I can't say enough about the staff. Kenny on the dock was helpful and friendly and same with Amy in the office. Great fuel and pumpout setup that made it easy for our trawler. They even have a pool which looked nice but we did not use. Most important was the good wifi. A first class operation.

Super Helpful at Fuel Dock, 2014-09-01
Captain: , Edgewood RI (73)

Fuel is between the first and second row of slips as you approach. We radioed as we came into the cove to make sure no one was exiting. Really helpful staff, with pump-out right at the fuel dock for an easy 2 for 1 stop.

Nice large turning area for us to get our 42' sloop out.

Great Yard, 2013-06-24

I have had two refits done by BCHM over the last 15 years. They might be expensive, but if you manage it carefully, it is worth every penny - and they stand behind their work. In fact, I will not let anyone else do work on my boat. Exceptional service and workmanship. I also store there in the off season. Great yard and very knowledgeable and experienced staff - highly recommended.

Signed up for 2013 season, 2013-03-24
Captain: , Barrington, RI (183)

Our 41 ft. sailing vessel was at this location for the 2012 season (and on the hard for the off-season), and we found Cove Haven to always be clean, well run, and with the confidedence that if anything went wrong with our boat, they had the facilities to fix it. We've signed up for another year. No problems, highly recommended.

A good yard with great ammeneties., 2012-01-04
Captain: , Barrington RI (516)

I kept my boat here for the summer of 2011.

It is a well run yard, right next to a state park (which has a farmer's market every Wednesday through the summer), and the East Providence - Bristol Bike path. My dock mates were great, and we all helped each other out during Hurricane Irene.

Pumpouts are free, once you find a working station among the three that they have. The staff was always very helpful and polite. Also, there is a pump out boat in the cove ($30-$50 per) visit.

Showers are OK, no laundry.

Truly exceptional & knowledgable refit service, 2011-06-08
Captain: , Mystic, CT (150)

We own a 65' (120 ton displacement) ocean crossing steel trawler. BCHM has done extensive refit work on it making it safer, easier to run, and consequently more reliable and enjoyable to live aboard. Their pricing is not cheap, but fair, given the quality of work performed. Examples of work done are: installing a 2,500 lb. hydraulic knuckle lift crane; reworking two large capacity fuel transfer pumps from impeller to gear driven types; removing all paint to bare metal below the waterline and priming and repainting; adding an electric hydraulic power steering system separate from the auto pilot; replacing a diesel furnace and repairing our 1500 gpd water maker; replacing & replumbing all s/s hydraulic lines in the forward bilges; adding and repairing several electronic systems in the Pilot House. They're friendly and keep a very clean, protected, and well maintained boat yard and extensive floating dock marina. We're proud to recommend their services to others!

Well run Marina, 2010-07-12
Captain: , Plymouth, MA (245)

All facilities are what you expect from Brewers, first class. Ask for the Brewer discount card and all future nights at any Brewer yard are 25% off. Great to cool off in the pool on a hot June day. A mile to shopping and laundry, but they have a courtesy truck if you need to get there. Taxi to Providence is about $30. A nice quiet peaceful place to wait out bad weather.

Great Spot, 2010-07-01
Captain: , Doylestown, Pa. 18902 (414)

Nice quiet, no laundry, Pizza place close by, courtesy vehicle available, 20 minute cab ride to Providence, reasonable rates, transient slips in back, no letters on ends of docks hard to find assigned slips. If you need a treat go to Al Forno a great restaurant about a twenty minute cab ride away on South Main street in Providence, a little pricy but a fine spot to dine. A shirt with a collar maybe.

Excellent marina. Knowledgable, courteous staff. Perhaps a little pricey but you get what you pay for.
