Reviews for Bremerton Marina
lots of room clean, 2014-08-20
Captain: , everett, wa (275)

Bremerton was an interesting stay. everything is clean and nice, but it's all concrete like an airport. there's plenty of shopping around although we could not find block ice anywhere. nor could we buy a fishing licenseWe you even took the ferry over to Port Orchard which is only two dollars and were unable to buy a fishing license there. The Wi-Fi at Bremerton did not work very well. all in all it was a nice stay quiet and lots of empty space around us.

Greatly renovated marina with lots to offer, 2014-05-19
Captain: , North Lake Marina, Lake Washington (260)

stayed here for the first time with a group and had a great time. Docks are new and wide. Facilities are clean and showers are free. There are many food choices nearby and many things to tour/see/do in walking distance.
As others have noted, the one thing to keep in mind is the tide and currents as they affect the marina quite a bit. When the ferry goes by, it causes a bit of wave action through the marina, but that shouldn't stop anyone from visiting, just be sure to secure properly to the dock. We will definitely be back.

Top Facility, 2012-10-19
Captain: , Guemes Island (100)

The docks are stout and spacious. Nice secure facility and friendly staff. The port accommodated our rendezvous with over 50 vessels attending. Currents can be a concern, but try to enter at or near slack.

All new Bremerton changes old attitudes, 2012-08-26
Captain: , Swantown Marina, Olympia, Wa (180)

All new docks and boardwalk. Excellent security, clean docks. Privite bathrooms with showers for marina customers. Close to restaurants and entertainment. Water in bay is excellent; clear and full of marine life.

Great marina, bad current, 2012-08-21
Captain: , Bainbridge Island, WA (268)

This marina is one of the nicest marina around in this area. The only bad thing is the current. We had a real challenge to get into a slip even with bow + stern thrusters.

If the current is running, tie up on the outside and wait until slack.

Nice facility,lots of current., 2012-07-30
Captain: , Port Orchard, WA (292)

Nice, newer facility with the city of Bremerton nearby.

Best Marina in Puget Sound, 2012-03-23
Captain: , Port Orchard WA (261)

Love the staff, great palce to stay, watch the currents

Excellent staff, but beware the current, 2011-10-14
Captain: , Algonac, MI (1659)

This brand-new marina has excellent facilities, but no breakwater, so the current can flow 3 knots in the docks. Be careful! I was surprised when I had to keep my boat in reverse until my dock lines were secure. I saw one boat pinned against the public dock, unable to leave until slack tide.

Wonderful modern marina, 2011-07-19
Captain: , Seattle, WA (577)

The marina facilities are terrific - new and well-maintained. The marina staff is very friendly and there to help introduce boaters to the area. There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby and a great WWII ship museum. Great place to spend a night or two with kids.

Great Marina - great club destination, 2011-05-25
Captain: , Gig Harbor (134)

The facilities are top notch and the staff is friendly and will bend over backward to accomodate a club visit. Reserve early and they will reserve a block of adjacent slips for your club.

Great Facilities, 2011-04-01
Captain: , Seattle (690)

Very nice marina, and right next to the USS Turner Joy, a Vietnam-era destroyer that has been turned into a floating museum. Good clean shower/restroom facilities and a variety of eating places nearby. Cool water fountains up the docks from the marina. Currents can get a bit tricky and fuel is not available - need to go across to Port Orchard.

A quick stop, 2011-03-23
Captain: , San Diego, CA (1239)

I made just a quick stop here to pick up a friend on the way to Seattle. Access to the transient dock was easy. My wife stopped by the office to see if any payment was necessary, none required for such a short stop. Facilities appeared modern and well cared for. Wide concrete floating docks provided easy secure footing.

Still getting better, 2011-02-02
Captain: , Puget Sound (115)

We first visited Bremerton on July 2, 2008 and have been back 8 more times over the summers. It seems each time we go here a great Marina gets even better. Dob clean up bags, a great new park and dog walk area.

"Best Marina in Puget Sound", 2010-12-27
Captain: , Olalla, WA (342)

Well run, lots of activities available. Wide slips and great access to power and water. Showers are free and coin operated laundry services are top notch. The southern entrance is the one you want to use for transit moorage. Good restaurants that run from fine dining to eat and run. The parks are first rate as well. We always have a great time. Be sure to visit the Lone Sailor staute on the Breakwater. Great place for a picnic or just to relax and watch the Seattle ferry come and go...

Customer friendly, 2010-02-03
Captain: , Absarokee Mt (1228)

The marina is actively looking for business, we were charged $28 per night in Feb 2010. Clean, easy to get into, large fairways. Current can be an issue.

Great New Marina, 2009-07-21
Captain: , Olympia, WA (61)

Nice new docks with excellent staff. Righ in the downtown district of Bremerton. Close in shops and resturants. Good spot to have friends come over from Seattle for a sail back. Ferry terminal ajacent.
