Be sure to stay in the channel! Enter between the two marina signs posted between Cortez Bridge and G49. After entering the private channel, follow the markers at a diagonal. This will almost seem like you are going away from marina towards a restaurant pier. Then you will turn to starboard, go along private pilings and then turn to port into the marina. DO NOT cut through outside of marked channel! There are rocks (unmarked) just below the water line, right in front of the marina.

Reviews for Bradenton Beach Marina
Not Very Friendly, 2017-03-27
Captain: , Palmetto Fl (20)

stopped here for fuel. No one came out of the shack. I pumped it myself, about $400.00 ......they wouldn't even come out of the shack to take your money. He just sat in there. Then there was an arguement about the Boat US discount.....I'll never go back.

Nice location, 2016-12-02
Captain: , Germantown Tn (40)

Had a side tie because of our length. Great area to dinghy ride and see dolphins. Close to Resturants a very short walk also a good place to ride bikes.. Beach is accross the street! Staff was friendly and happy to help. Wouls stay here again.

Ok marina, walking distance to beach and shops..., 2015-04-22
Captain: , Erie, PA (67)

Marina is okay, docks aren't in great shape, bathrooms are okay, but might not feel any cleaner after your shower! The best part of this marina is that it's easy walking distance to the gulf-side beach, restaraunts, and a free municipal bus service that we took up to Anna Maria Island, past Publix, where they're happy to stop and pick up. Not sure I'd stay again, as we've now seen the beach and Anna Maria Island, but there are worse places to tie up...

Setting the Lowest Bar for Service, 2015-04-09
Captain: , Prattville, AL (300)

From the unhelpful and unfriendly staff to the inoperative pump out equipment, it was all I could do select even the one-star rating for this never-ever-visit marina.

I do not recommend this marina under any circumstances. Our experience:

- Our requests for dockhand assistance were completely ignored.
- The staff never responded to the messages we left on their voicemail system.
- The pump out equipment leaked and sprayed the neighboring boat, so we immediately stopped the operation. As I was repositioning the broken hoses onto the dock a guy came over from a boat that was tied to the end of the dock to let me know that the sewage that made it into the system was being pumped directly into the bay by his boat. When I went to tell the marina representative, he just walked away from me as I was talking, saying, %u201Cthose guys didn%u2019t put the cap on,%u201D as if that was important to me. I got the distinct impression that he intended to do nothing about the problem and saw nobody take steps to check the issue during the remaining hour we were at the dock.
- As a kicker to the pump out debacle, the marina staff not only refuse to help, but they also charge $25 -- you read that right, twenty-five U.S. dollars -- for doing nothing more than dragging the broken down equipment to the dock near your boat!

I think you get the picture. Do not go to Bradenton Beach Marina. Even if you get into a bind and need safe harbor, run your boat aground instead. You'll thank me.

Not worth th money, 2015-02-18
Captain: , Charleston, SC (72)

Stopped here 2-15-15. Made a reservation early in the morning and was told there would be a dockhand to take a line. Tried calling on the radio from two miles out. Woops, they don't have radios. Called on the phone. Yes, we'll have the dock hand right there. Had to call again sitting 10' off the dock.
The wi-fi is there, but barely useable.
Bathroom and shower a little run down and not very clean.
Active captain showed a 25% discount for boat US. Young man who checked us in said that was $.25 per ft. When I asked about it, I was told to call the owner at home if I wanted to discuss it.
Over all, the great beach and bars and restaurants are all this place has going for it. I would not go back.

Good location but not much else, 2015-02-08
Captain: , palm harbor (190)

Stopped here on our way north to Clearwater. The marina sits right on the south side of the bridge to bradenton beach which is convenient. We had the side tie at the end of the dock as our 22 ft beam could not be accomodated elsewhere. That is ok. There was no one to assist at the docks when we arrived. The bathroom/showers were not in good shape. This was the most expensive stop on our trip from georgia and definitely not worth the $$. One nice thing is it is very close to beach and nice restaurants (5 minute walk).

World Cup weekend - 4th of July, 2014-07-21
Captain: , Apollo Beach - Tampa, FL (361)

Sailed over from Tampa for the 4th of July weekend. Marina staff very helpful. Facility nice %u2013 Shore power, water, ice, clean bathrooms and showers. Very close to the small beach town with lots of shopping, restaurants, and sport bars - Watched World Cup matches Friday and Saturday. Played Putt-Putt golf. Travel Anna Marina Island on the free trolley. Nice visit and will stop at the Bradenton Marina again.

4th Of July, 2014-07-07
Captain: , Apollo Beach (542)

Two boats from Tamap Sailing Squadron went for 4th of July. Night shift marina staff helpful and polite. Accommidated both boats together despite marina being packed. Bathrooms are clean. Walking distance to beach, bars, returants, shopping, circle k, and the trolley on AMI is free. Worth the access to Anna Maria Island. We will be back.

This active boat yard is a must stop for cruisers. What the marina lacks in amenities is more than made up by the local excursions. The Marina staff is Awesome! Walk to Bridge St for shopping drinks or dinner. Take the free Trolley and go to the grocery store or just explore Anna Maria Island. Go for a sunset stroll on the beach. So much to do you should stay a few nights.

Easy brezzy, 2014-02-03

Skip and company are always accomidating and the area is awesome for walking around

2 good nights, 2013-11-07
Captain: , Hernando Beach, FL (184)

Stayed for two nights. Staff were very friendly, well maintained docks, decent showers and laundry. Close to several good restaurants and bars, very short walk to the beach. A bit of bridge noise, but not bad. I will return.

3 Stars - previous review huh?, 2013-07-29
Captain: , Bradenton (22)

I would rate marina 3 stars. I'm not sure how last poster could rate 1 star when wind, tide, and taking the end dock were all known elements that the captain knew or should have known. How does your bad judgement relate to the marina? Because they didn't have someone sit on the pier and watch your boat all night? What marina does that? Please rate the marina not your failure as a boat owner to pick an adequate slip.

oops --never again, 2013-06-17
Captain: , East Greenwich RI (515)

We layed on the end dock in a strong east wind with a moon tide!! Had to do a %u2018dock watch%u2019 all night to keep fenders from getting stuck under dock structure. Fender board was of no help with the structural members. No help available from marina staff. This is a dock of last resort!! Price for little or nothing except a pier. Last visit we anchored south of the city pier%u2014a little crowded %u2013but that will be our choice again next time through.

short stay, 2013-05-20
Captain: , Muskegon, MI (980)

The staff is friendly and helpful. There is pump out at the slips, we are on then T dock for two nights, bumpy but not uncomfortable. Bathrooms are open to public and not very well maintained during the day. The fuel dock is impossible to get to for larger boats.

Nice people, 2013-02-21
Captain: , Ocean Springs MS (1454)

We stayed the night here on our cat and found the dock staff to be nice and helpful. Bathrooms decent. BoatUS discount, $2/ft dockage, $4.90/gal diesel. Restaurants etc. close. There is a free trolley b/forth along the island.

Close to the action, 2013-02-06
Captain: , Bay City (144)

Walking distance to great resturants and sunsets. Marina is expensive. Pumpouts are $25 (WOW) but only game locally. Boatyard is most expensive in area for haul out and yard fees but does allow DYI. N. E. Taylor is a better choice.

Cute town, casual marina, 2013-02-03
Captain: , St Petersburg FL (110)

Clean bathrooms, good showers, staff are helpful and there is a very cute town right there. Although it is right next to Cortez Bridge, there is very little traffic on it at night. $2/foot.

Not Honest, 2012-09-26
Captain: , Saint Augustine FL (10)

I had the bottom painted here and asked for two coats on the bottom and 3 on the waterline. I stopped by to see the progress and was told they were applying the last coat I went out and asked the painter was this the 2nd coat. He replied nope the first. I confronted the manager and stated that they were using the amount of paint required for 2 coats. A bunch of BS. DO NOT Have work done there, they are dishonest.

Convenient, but that's it., 2012-01-18
Captain: , East Falmouth, MA (1643)

This marina has one thing going for it, it is close to the town, good restaurants, and the free trolly. The slips are OK, but they do not cater to transients. It is mostly a marina for seasonal slips and repairs. The people weren't unfriendly, but didn't go an exrta inch for service. When I asked why someone wasn't at the slip to take a line, the answer was I didn't request it. The comms were poor and it seemed the staff was too busy to help. The rest rooms were noy cleaned daily. The price with Boat US disc was $2/ft.

Convenient stop - easy access to stores, 2011-11-20
Captain: , Little River, SC (2037)

We stopped here to meet some friends and it was very convenient. The people were helpful and friendly. Watch the entrance channel; it makes a sharp turn to port (toward the fishing dock). There are no supplies or repairs at the marina. I needed a stainless nut and was told I had to go to the hardware store. The city runs free trolley which is about a block away and this will take you to a shopping center, West Marine store, hardware store, etc. Free and convenient.

Nice stop after crossing the bend, 2011-05-02
Captain: , Knapps Narrows Md (450)

We stopped here after an overnite from Ft Walton Beach to Tampa. Easy docking, filled up with fuel and received BoatUS discount on both fuel and dockage. Very friendly staff. Good restaurants nearby and the free beach shuttle was easy to get to Publix to reprovision. Shuttle stop is a couple of block walk from Marina.

expensive pump out, 2011-04-17
Captain: , Apollo Beach, FL (80)

Convenient to Bradenton Beach and the free trolley that will take you to shopping, restaurants, etc. Facilities OK, but pumpout was $25!!! and you have to do it yourself. Free WiFi.

Convenient Location, 2011-02-02
Captain: , Hernando Beach, Fl (300)

Down and dirty marina. Mostly annual slips, but a few transients. You won't want to stay more than a night or two even though it's real close to shops and the beach.

great location, 2009-10-06
Captain: , FL West Coast (136)

near beach and restaurants, small crowded marina is bascially a long tern dock place but takes transients a great helpful staff. The seem to not have enough 50A power outlets.

Decent stop over when needed, 2008-05-20
Captain: , Gulfport Florida (162)

Avoiding bad weather moving in so we decided to spend the night at the transient slip. Be careful to stay in the marked private channel that begins very close to the Cortez bridge.

Lots of restaurants, and the beach, within a few blocks of easy walking distance.

June 08 we paid $2.00 per foot per night for transient space. 30 and 50 amp service, pump out on the dock, water, no cable tv. They do have basic showers, and internet in the small clubhouse.

Full repair facility on site.
