Reviews for Boothbay Harbor Marina
great in town location, 2017-02-28
Captain: , Brookline NH (80)

Spent several days at a dock here. Judy the owner was very nice and extremely helpful and accomodating. Docks were good along with power and water. Wakes/wave action pretty much nonexistant. Only downside is this is right downtown and there can be a fair bit of noise from local restaurants late into the night.

Good - why more characters needed?, 2016-08-14

It was pleasant and the facilities were working well.

Nice place kinda noisy, 2016-07-27
Captain: , City Island New York (210)

Nice enough spot in boothbay but don't come here looking for quiet. Right along side 2 big bar/restaurants gets a little rowdy on weekend. It is a really nice town with some good places to eat and explore

Always Terrific!, 2016-07-07

Judy has run a terrific operation for years and nothing has changed. Best located marina in the heart of bustling Boothbay.

Great place and helpful staff, 2015-09-23

We were expecting to arrive in Boothbay after sunset: that didn't bother me, but Ross was nervous about my going through the channel (with boats everywhere) after dark. And so he returned to the marina after hours and talked us through the mooring fields --- we would have made it either way, but that certainly made us feel welcome.

The location is very protected, and facilities were great.

They REALLY TRY HARDER!!!! Limited Transient Space, 2015-08-28

JUDY, owner, and ROSS, Dockmaster, comprise the MOST HELPFUL DOCKAGE SPOT IN Mid Coast Maine! Not a fancy marina, but feel fortunate if they have space available. Very convenient location yet surprisingly private/peaceful/secure given all activity in surrounding area.

Always good to visit this marina, 2015-07-03

This is the fourth time we have been to Boothbay Harbor Marina. We enjoy meeting Judy every time. She is very helpful and is at the docks in her red hut. Slips are immediately adjacent to the restuarants and downtown area. Occaisioanlly there has been some noise at the weekend but this is not a problem given the vicinity to local hot spots. On this trip, the weather was awful when we called the marina. Judy answered and because business was low that day she had stayed home. Not a problem, she said to give a call 30 minutes before arrival and she would come down to meet us. We arrived and she recognized us from previous trips and gave us a warm welcome. This is a must stay location for us on our Maine trips.

As one of our first stops during a famliy cruise up the Maine coast, we could not have picked a better place to spend the night, including our hostess, Judy (the owner) , the marina, and the beautiful town of Booth Bay. The docks are quite close to some out door restuarants/bars that could cause some extra noise, but during our visit it was a quiet as it gets. The restrooms are close by, a little older, but clean with plenty of hot water. There are many very good eateries within minutes of the dock and the town's small, but very "coastal like" shopping area is a bench mark for Maine. I'm not sure we can top this first night at Boothbay. If I was to re-visit Booth Bay, I would definately stay here for a few days.

Great place!, 2012-10-04
Captain: , South Portland (10)

Judy, the owner, is great and the location can't be beat. The shower/bathroom facilities are little haggard, but they are free. No pumping quarters for a 5 minute showe. It can be a little loud, but the AC has kept the noise down. She also has a group of regulars that come in for long holiday weekends. They definitely like to party, but we didn't hear a thing when we went to bed. We have had some issues with power. Our AC tripped a number of times until we switched hook ups. All in all, a good place to stay if you like a convenient location.

Good location., 2012-04-28

Great location. A bit pricey considering shore head facilities.

Great location. Super staff. Easy in and out. Only thing that kept from 5 stars, restrooms and showers need an update.

Outstanding Place, 2010-10-16

This is a real marina and good location.

nice place in the heart of downtown, 2010-08-31
Captain: , New York, NY (200)

nice place in the heart of downtown, friendly staff - a little noisy on a weekend night from the live music in the bar at the top of the dock

Very Good Marina, +1 for the location in town, 2010-07-10
Captain: , Huntington, NY (2311)

Took a slip at this very good four star marina, bumped up to five stars for the location in town and the town itself being first rate. Step off your boat right into the middle of town square! Don't need to even bother with a rain coat.

Fell in love with the town on first site.

Fell in love the next day again, as we happened upon a dog show in the town square and found ourselves and our dog pepper invited to participate. What a fun way to spend the morning.

A great in-town location, 2010-04-18
Captain: , York, ME (1971)

Boothbay is a "must stop." This marina has become our second choice, only because it's a little too "in town", with live music and lots of foot traffic almost overhead. But if you want to be PART of the action, this is the place for you. It's also good on rainy days, because everything is so close you won't even get wet running up to the restaurants and shops. The facilities are great and the staff is friendly and helpful.

O.K., But Seen Better Days, 2009-07-05
Captain: , Occoquan, VA (456)

If you want to be right in town, this is the place to be. However, stay as far out on the docks as you can to reduce the noise from McSeagull's until 1:00 AM as well as the constant foot traffic on the docks. The advertised Wi-fi actually comes from a restaurant across the harbor. Reception was minimal at best. The advertised pumpout is actually a boat, not part of the marina. When called, the boat operator said he was off for a couple of days, wasn't certain which day he would return. Floating docks are in good shape, the rest of the facility needs updating.

Good experience, 2008-07-25

Excellent location right in town. Good restaurant named McSeagulls on site. Showers, heads, electrical at slips. Owners very accomadating and helpful. A bit pricey per foot, but overall a very nice marina.
