Reviews for Emerald Coast Boat Yard
Great Price – Nice People!, 2015-10-22
Captain: , Panama City, FL (60)

Needed a place to park the boat for a few days. Strong winds out of the East made getting into the slip a little tricky (on your own here) and docks are not new. But got dockage, electricity, showers, and free laundry for $25 per night – a deal. Secretary told me the price is supposed to be $35 per night, but when I called the owner had misquoted so she honored what he had told us. I needed a padlock and she even had one that she gave me. Would definitely recommend if you need a layover in FWB. Not fancy, but does the job.

Even less than you pay for, 2015-02-27

Sometimes an inexpensive item can turn out to be a real bargin, but in this case you get even less than what you pay for. It took backing into and tying up to three different slips before finding one that had working power and even then it had to modified to fit a standard shore power cord. The docks are fixed concrete in poor condition with very short finger piers. We radioed before arrival and the owner told us to take any open slip, this resulted in the shore power issue. When we asked for help we were told no one was available. On the positive side it is an easy walk into town with many restaurants and stores. Stayed January 2015

Nothing fancy here folks but a great owner. We only wanted a place to stop for the night and this filled the bill nicely. This is not a resort but had what we were looking for and we would return in the future. We did not use the rest rooms or showers so I cannot rate them and docking was ours alone since all the help were busy with other business.

Unable to dock here, 2013-05-24
Captain: , Buffalo (1144)

We had planned to stop here for the night, but because of the wind and waves, we could not get into a slip. No one from the marina was there to assist, and when we phoned, the lady in the office explained that she was there alone, and was unable to leave her office.

The docks are fixed concrete in poor condition, but then the price is cheap --- I think

Unexpected stop, 2012-12-07
Captain: , Athens, AL (641)

We had planned to continue further east but we began losing our house bank of batteries so I called about 1 PM (no prior notice). I knew the batteries were getting close to dying so I needed 6 replacements. BMBY said they didn't do batteries but referred me to someone that did. I called Best Marine Services and told him the brand and model batteries that I needed. He found them within 15 minutes at a very competitive price and agreed to meet me at the dock and install the batteries that afternoon. Within only 2 hours I had a new bank of batteries, went ahead and rented a slip for $25/night, did a walking tour of the local area, and had dinner at The Crab Shack a couple of blocks away (the best crab cakes we've ever had, all meat not breaded), all while we had laundry going, free of charge. The docks are nothing to brag about but for the price and the service we received, can't complain. Great stop, highly recommended.

Convenient location, low cost, 2011-11-01
Captain: , Marthas Vineyard (506)

2011 price $25 w/elec&water. Wifi not available for marina customers. Great lookout tower closed to the public. Docks and restrooms are adequate if a bit rustic. You can walk to lots of restaurants. We are getting waked but not too bad.

Captain: , Pensacola (430)

Called about 3 hours before arrival. Told to pick any slip we wanted. Reasonable price ($21/nite). Free laundry and clean showers. Dock rock with SW winds was the only downside.

Inexpensive, nice place, 2010-02-18
Captain: , La Salle, MI (122)

Long term docking was $100 for the month which may have been a special deal, but shows how inexpensive the place is. Decent facilities, easy walking to many restaurants, churches, stores. Really nice lookout tower gives quite a view of the area.

Wow what a deal!!, 2009-11-05
Captain: , Key Largo (5304)

$24 a nite with electric!! They loaned me a car to go to pulbix also.
Walk around the property, wierd duck, birds. peacocks, and the office is an old 150 ferris cement boat.
Real nice lady checked us in.

Good stop along the way, 2009-02-06
Captain: , Knoxville, TN (1788)

This is basically a boat yard that allows transients to tie up for a night or two, and they charge practically nothing ($21 for our 46' yacht, including electric & water). Very nice, friendly, helpful folks. Laundry is free and they have 3 showers. Fixed docks with pilings with short piers. Restaurants (including fast food) in walking distance. Definitely a good place to stop when you need a safe harbor as you are traveling along the ICW. They are right on the ICW at ICW Red 16.
